Michael Terrington, a bartender at Carmine's Restaurant, died Monday of a stroke at his home. He was 63. Mr. Terrington was born in New Orleans and lived in Metairie for the past 17 years. He was an Air Force veteran. Survivors include his wife, Cora D. Terrington; a son, Kevin Terrington; a daughter, Lisa Terrington; two brothers, Skipper and Dennis Terrington; and a sister, Susie Stokes. A Mass will be said Friday at 1 p.m. at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church, 1609 Carrollton Ave., Metairie. United Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Glenn A. Alford Sr., a retired Louisiana State Police lieutenant, died Saturday at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. He was 83. Mr. Alford was born in Tangipahoa Parish and lived in Covington for the past 61 years. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Givens Alford; two sons, John and Glenn Alford Jr; four daughters, Nancy A. Kynerd, Susan A. Monlezun, Mary Lou Alford and Carolyn A. Ward; a sister, Warrene A. Pierce; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held today at 2 p.m. at E.J. Fielding Funeral Home, 2260 W. 21st Ave., Covington. Visitation will begin at noon. Richard David Cantwell, a carpenter, died Tuesday of undetermined causes at a friend's home in New Orleans. He was 37. Mr. Cantwell was born in Oakland, Calif., and lived in New Orleans for the past 33 years. He graduated from Abramson High School. Survivors include his wife, Jane Goodman; a son, Taylor Cantwell; a stepdaughter, Alison Wright; his father, Richard Phillip Cantwell; his mother, Carolyn Ann Patty Cantwell; his stepmother, Cathy Cantwell; and a sister, Tammy Diann Clary. Visitation was held Saturday at All Faiths Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd. Burial will be private.

Otis Clyde Thomas, a retired postal clerk, died Wednesday at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was 75. Mr. Thomas was an Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Katherine McKay Thomas; a stepson, Rodney Leblanc of Baton Rouge; two stepdaughters, Cheryl D. Williams and Carla Leblanc of Baton Rouge; three brothers, Fred, Emmanuel and L.V. Thomas of Houston; a sister, Celestine Johnson of Houston; six step grandchildren; and three step great-grandchildren. Mr. Fields was born in Opelousas and lived in Kenner for the past 37 years. He was an Army veteran. June Denton Tillotson, a retired employee for the medical department of the Orleans Parish School Board, died Friday at Lakeview Regional Medical Center. She was 82. Ms. Tillotson was born in Scottsville, Ky., and lived in Mandeville for the past 36 years. She formerly managed the Covington Chamber of Commerce. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Republican Women's Club. Survivors include a son, Michael D. Tillotson; a daughter, Susan Duncan of Jasper, Ark.; and four grandchildren. A funeral will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at J.C. Kirby Funeral Chapel, 832 Broadway Ave., Bowling Green, Ky. George William Wilson, a retired longshoreman and freight handler, died Saturday of a stroke at Touro Infirmary. He was 75. Mr. Wilson was born in Port Gibson, Miss., and lived in New Orleans for the past 51 years. He graduated from Claiborne Country High School. He was an Army veteran. He was a member of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry and Greater St. Stephen Full Gospel Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and for more than 20 years was the Sunday school superintendent. He attended the National Baptist Congress of Christian Education for 30 years, was a former president of the Layman Movement of Ideal Missionary Baptist Association and a member of Longshoreman Local Union No. 854 and had served on the board of directors of its credit union. Survivors include his wife, Ruth N. Newton; two sons, Derek G., and Keith R. Wilson Sr.; a brother, Charles Wilson of Aurora, Ill.; two sisters, Pearl Smith of Vicksburg, Miss., and Mary Murray; and five grandchildren. A tribute service will be held today at 7 p.m. at Greater St. Stephen Full Gospel Baptist Church, 2308 S. Liberty St. A funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the church.
