Jeanette "Bill" Sollberger, a retired teacher and librarian, died Saturday of congestive heart failure at Slidell Memorial Hospital. She was 88. Ms. Sollberger was a lifelong resident of Slidell. She graduated from Louisiana State University with a master's degree in library science. She was a social studies teacher and librarian at Slidell High School. She retired after 42 years of service from the St. Tammany Parish school system. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Fraternity. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. A funeral will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 1041 Ninth St., Slidell. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery. Honaker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Virginia Lopez Aguado, a homemaker, died Sunday at Ochsner Clinic Foundation Hospital. She was 80. Mrs. Aguado was born in Havana, Cuba, and lived in New Orleans for the past 41 years. Survivors include her husband, Miguel A. Aguado; a son, Michael A. Aguado; two daughters, Vivian Miller and Maria Aguado; two brothers, Jose and Fernando Lopez; a sister, Berta Marcial; and six grandchildren. Bernadine Mercedes Fourmaux Brady, owner of Bernie's Images in Meraux, died Sunday of multiple organ failure at Chalmette Medical Center. She was 70. Mrs. Brady was born in New Orleans and lived in Meraux for the past 35 years. She was owner of Bernie's Images for 20 years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Meraux. Survivors include her husband, John Brady; a son, Henry Frank Fourmaux Jr.; three daughters, Marie F. Jas, Cathy Peciulis and Val F. Landry; two sisters, Rita S. Parker and Shirley S. Hayward; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Joseph C. Bertucci, retired owner and operator of a heavy equipment business, died Sunday of diabetes complications at his home. He was 75. Mr. Bertucci was born in New Orleans and was a lifelong resident of Kenner. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Marlene Seals Gulino Bertucci, and a stepson, Joseph O. Gloria Bradley Hamilton, a former employee of Barry's Manufacturing, died Friday of undetermined causes at East Jefferson General Hospital. She was 51. Mrs. Hamilton was born in Amarillo, Texas, and lived in Kenner for the past 23 years. She attended Carver High School in Amarillo. She was a member of New Home Ministries in LaPlace. Survivors include her husband, Fred Hamilton; a son, Terrance Bradley; three daughters, Rhonda Burton, Deanna Stephens and Arlicha Campbell; a stepson, Fred Hamilton Jr.; a stepdaughter, Charity Farve; her father, Robert Bobby Bradley; her stepmother, Mae Della Bradley; two brothers, Terry and Romural Bradley; two sisters, Frances Wright and Bertha Britton; and seven grandchildren. Oscar M. Gallegos, a retired merchant mariner, died Sunday of lung cancer at his home. He was 75. Mr. Gallegos was born in Houston and was a lifelong resident of the New Orleans area. He was a member of American Legion Post 77 in Waveland, Miss., and the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Bay St. Louis. He was a parishioner of St. Jerome Catholic Church. He was a Merchant Marine veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Beatrice Trevino Gallegos; two sons, Joseph Julian and Arnold Oscar Gallegos; three brothers, George L. Gallegos Sr., Robert Gallegos and Alonzo Alonzo; four sisters, Minnerva Villagomez, Mary Sanchez, Linda Rodriguez and Yolanda Lorio; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Mr. Rose was born in Edgard and lived in New Orleans. He attended George Washington Carver High School and Southern University at New Orleans. He was a parishioner of St. Raymond Catholic Church. He was a member of Daiquiris Chef Dominoes Club. He was a Marine veteran of the Vietnam War. He was awarded the Combat Action Ribbon and Vietnam Meritorious Unit Gallantry Cross. Survivors include his wife, Jeannine Rose; two sons, Arthur Rose and Theodore Jones III; three daughters, Jonika Rose, Loreleri Cook and Kandy Rose; two brothers, Willie and Floyd Rose; two sisters, Goldie Thomas and Patsy Severin; and five grandchildren.
