Alan W. Pailet, a managing director at Bear Stearns investment firm in Boston, died Monday of cancer at East Jefferson General Hospital. He was 54. Mr. Pailet was born in Chicago and lived in New Orleans for many years and in Boston for the past 30 years. He graduated from Isidore Newman School and had a bachelor's degree and a master's degree from Tulane University. He served on the Tulane University Advisory Council. He did postgraduate work at Harvard University in Boston. Survivors include his wife, Janet Pailet; his father and mother, Ellis and Helen Pailet; and a brother, Robert Pailet. A memorial service will be held Friday at 5:15 p.m. at Temple Sinai, 6227 St. Charles Ave.

Donald E. Wilson, a retired executive and mechanical engineer with Chevron Oil Co., died Saturday at his home in Fort Worth, Texas. He was 69. Mr. Wilson was born in New Orleans and lived in Fort Worth. He designed onshore and offshore plants, refineries, pipelines and drilling operations. Survivors include his wife, Martha Anne Wilson; two daughters, Deborah Anne Crow of Fort Worth, and Mary Jane Stickler of Orange Beach, Ala.; a son, Donald E. Wilson Jr. of Fort Myers, Fla.; and six grandchildren. A funeral will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Greenwood Funeral Home, Fort Worth. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will be in Greenwood Mausoleum.

Benjamin Miller, a retired janitor, died April 29 at his home. He was 85. Mr. Miller was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. He had worked for Tulane University. Survivors include nieces and nephews. Isabella "Bell" Jones Celestin, a homemaker, died Tuesday of breast cancer at her home. She was 48. Mrs. Celestin was a lifelong resident of St. James. She attended St. James High School. Survivors include her husband, Louis Celestin Sr.; her mother, Eloise C. Jones; two daughters, Latoya and Letecia Celestin; two stepsons, Louis Celestin Jr. and Dominic Celestin; two sisters, Genella Aubert and Rozella Williams; two brothers, the Rev. Myron Jones and Samuel Jones; a stepsister, Oneda Griffin; three stepbrothers, Robert Bernard and Steve and Curtis Raymond; and two step grandchildren. Mary Jones Hudson, a housekeeper, died Wednesday at Touro Infirmary. She was 81. Ms. Hudson was born in Jonesville and lived in New Orleans for the past 79 years. She was a member of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church. She was a member of the May Emerald Birthday Group. Mr. McMorris was born in Woodville, Miss., and lived in New Orleans the past four years. He was the owner of McMorris Grocery Store in Woodville. He was a deacon at Hopewell A.M.E. Church in Woodville. Survivors include a son, James Tarvis McMorris of Weyanoke; a daughter, Melissa McMorris of Woodville; a brother, Herman McMorris; two sisters, Catherine Stokes of Chicago and Lovie Richardson McMorris; and six grandchildren.
