Eddie Kyles, a self-employed mechanic, died Saturday at Lazarus House of liver failure. He was 44. Mr. Kyles was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. He attended John F. Kennedy High School. He was a former employee of Landis Construction Co. Survivors include his mother, Pat Kyles; three brothers, Ronald, Dale and Eric Kyles; and three sisters, Desiree Lane, Trina Banks and Adorna Kyles. A funeral will be held today at 10 a.m. at D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home, 3933 Washington Ave. Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park.

BABINEAUX, EDITH ADAMS FRICKEY

Edith Adams Frickey Babineaux, a retired quality controller at Underwood Glass Co., died Sunday at Ochsner Foundation Hospital. She was 79. Mrs. Babineaux was born in Westwego and lived in Bridge City for many years. Survivors include her husband, Joseph Babineaux; two sons, Jules and Leon Frickey Jr.; two daughters, Betty Gomez and Vera De Jesus; two brothers, Andrew and Dennis Adams; two sisters, Rena Borras and Rachel Guidroz; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held today at 10 a.m. at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 West Bank Expressway, Marrero. Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. Burial will be in Holy Sanctified Cemetery in Westwego.

RILEY, ROBERT O'NEIL

Robert O'Neil Riley, a petroleum engineer with Exxon, died Monday of heart failure at West Jefferson Medical Center. He was 61. Mr. Riley was born in Bartlesville, Okla., and lived in New Orleans for the past 25 years. He graduated from Edison High School in San Antonio and Texas A&I; University. He was a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers. He had worked at Louisiana Land and Exploration Co. Survivors include two daughters, Erin Riley Lawless and Laurie Riley; a sister, Melody Riley Southwell; and two grandchildren. A funeral will be held today at 1 p.m. at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 West Bank Expressway, Harvey. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m.

CIOLINO, HENRY JOHN

Henry John Ciolino, a retired high school teacher, died Sunday at Memorial Medical Center. He was 84. Mr. Ciolino was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. He graduated from Jesuit High School and received a master's degree in education from Loyola University. Survivors include two sons, John B. and Henry P. Ciolino; a daughter, Jane Ellen Ciolino; four brothers, Sal, Samuel, Felix and Vincent Ciolino; and a grandchild. A Mass was said Wednesday at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home. Burial was in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.

TICKER, ALMA T.

Alma T. Ticker, a homemaker, died Tuesday at her daughter's home. She was 82. Mrs. Ticker was born in New Orleans and lived in Jefferson Parish for the past year. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church. Survivors include a son, Val A. Ticker III; two daughters, Valerie Ann Ticker and Debra T. Weber; a sister, Marguerite T. Karsolich; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services were private. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. All Faiths Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

SHARPER, WILLIE JR.

Willie Sharper Jr., a retired longshoreman, died Tuesday in a boating accident in Plaquemines Parish. He was 69. Mr. Sharper was born in St. Francisville and lived in Harvey for more than 30 years. He was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. He was an Army veteran of World War II and the Korean War and a member of Little Zion Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Audrey W. Sharper; two sons, Jerome and Terry Sharper; two daughters, Shirley S. Stills and Charlene Joe; five brothers, Edward, Booker, Freddie, Levell and Emanuel Sharper; five sisters, Rosalee S. Charles, Edna S. Jackson, Mary Clark, and Thelma and Geraldine Sharper; and 10 grandchildren. A funeral will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Little Zion Baptist Church, 3231 Audubon St. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Davis Mortuary Service is in charge of arrangements.

RAUCH, JOLEEN TEDROW

Joleen Tedrow Rauch, a retired executive secretary at Martin Marietta, died March 24 of a heart attack in Tucson, Ariz. She was 61. Mrs. Rauch was born in Peoria, Ill., was raised in South Bend, Ind., and lived in New Orleans for 28 years. She was a former co-owner of National Art and Hobby. She was awarded NASA's Silver Snoopy Award for professionalism in 1989. She was a member of Unity Church of Tucson. Survivors include a brother, Edward Tedrow. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 4 p.m. at Unity Temple, 3722 St. Charles Ave.

WILLIAMS, DAVID

David Williams, a retired journeyman and industrial painter with Naval Support Activity, died Saturday at his home. He was 78. Mr. Williams was born in Raceland and lived in Harvey. He attended Union Baptist Theological Seminary. He was an Army sergeant and received the Good Conduct, ATO-American Campaign, Europe-Africa-Middle Eastern Campaign and Foreign Service medals. Mr. Williams was a deacon and a Sunday school and Bible study teacher at Evening Star Missionary Baptist Church. He also was a member of Mount Pilgrim Lodge No. 91. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Williams; two sons, Larry and Don Williams; a daughter, Dalell Williams McCune of Somerset, N.J.; a stepdaughter, Barbara Collins; a brother, Albert Williams; a sister, Sadie Adams; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Evening Star Missionary Baptist Church, Harvey. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Christian Social Cemetery, Gretna. Davis Mortuary Service is in charge of arrangements.

Helen Bazile Jones, a retired seamstress, died Tuesday at United Medical Center in New Orleans. She was 89. Ms. Jones was born in New Orleans and lived in Bronx, N.Y., for many years. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Survivors include four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A Mass will be said Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 411 N. Rampart St. Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery No. 3. D.W. Michael J. Davis, manager at West Bank Lubrication, died Tuesday of respiratory failure at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, Miss. He was 36. Mr. Davis was born in Gretna and lived in Westwego for the past year. Survivors include a daughter, Morgan A. Davis; his mother, Deborah W. Davis; a brother, Mark Davis; and a sister, Dawn Davis Foret. Services were held Thursday. Mothe Funeral Home in Marrero was in charge of arrangements.

Thomas John Moore III, an automotive sales representative, died Saturday of undetermined causes at his home. He was 38. Mr. Moore was born in New Orleans and was a lifelong resident of Arabi. He was a member of Believers Life Family Church. Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline Erwin Moore; his mother, Lois Moore Liuzza; his stepfather, Frank Liuzza; and a sister, Cindy M. McDavitt. Dale N. Nicosia Sr., an operator for Exxon/Mobil Chalmette, died Sunday of cancer at his home. He was 51. Mr. Nicosia was born in New Orleans and lived in St. Bernard Parish. Survivors include his fiancee, Sheila Asevado; a son, Dale M. Nicosia Jr.; his mother, Verda Serpas Nicosia; and a brother, Ronald J. Nicosia. A Mass will be said today at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Violet. Visitation will be held at 9 a.m. at Vickers, Verrette and Dornan Funeral Home, 3027 Jean Lafitte Parkway, Chalmette. TROTTER, JOYCE

Joyce Trotter, a retired teacher with the Jefferson Parish school system, died Monday of cancer in Jefferson. She was 75. Mrs. Trotter was born in Detroit and lived in Metairie for the past 38 years. She received a master's degree in English education from Wayne State University. She was an actress in several local theaters, including Le Petit, Gallery Circle, The Beverly, Minacapelli's and the Contemporary Arts Center. Her most notable performance was her lead role in "The Prime of Miss Brodie." She was a former employee at the Jefferson Parish High School Repertory Theater, where she directed performances. Survivors include her husband, Douglas Trotter; two sons, Brian and Douglas G. Trotter; a daughter, Elizabeth Trotter; and five grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Community Church Unitarian Universalist, 6690 Fleur de Lis Drive. Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

VALDERY, EDNA ‘TOO TOO'

Edna "Too Too" Valdery, a homemaker, died Wednesday of congestive heart failure at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center. She was 79. Mrs. Valdery was born in Independence and lived in Joliet, Ill., for the past 35 years. Survivors include her husband, James Valdery; two sons, Larry Valdery of Columbus, Miss., and Joseph Valdery of New Orleans; five daughters, Marie Carson of Decatur, Ga., and Norma Cummings, Patricia Summers, Cornell Grave and Faye Hill; a sister, Naomi Lemon of New Orleans, 18 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. A funeral will be today at 11 a.m. at Gaza Missionary Baptist Church, 7258 Ranson St. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Providence Memorial Park. The Rev. James Roy Davis Sr., a retired machine operator and pastor, died May 29 of undetermined causes at Meadowcrest Hospital. He was 70. The Rev. Davis was born in North Harlow, N.C., and lived in Plaquemines Parish for the past 51 years. He was a former employee of Empire Menhaden and Air Logistics, and had served as pastor of Mount Sinai Baptist Church from 1992 to 2000. He was a member of Christian Ministers Missionary Baptist Association and had been associate minister at Israelite Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Velma M. Davis; two sons, Kilroy and James Roy Davis Jr.; four daughters, Paulette Baker, Shelita Fox, Sybil Davis and Ruby Rugel; a brother, Sleman Lee Davis; a sister, Clarabell Stamps; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. A funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Israelite Baptist Church, 144 Villary Road, Belle Chasse. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Cannon's Cemetery in Nairin.
