Douglas Russell Chetta, a plumber, died April 23 of undetermined causes at his home. He was 31. Mr. Chetta was born in New Orleans and lived in Metairie for the past 10 years. He had worked for Fassbenders Plumbing. Survivors include a daughter, Kelly Binova; his father, Frank Chetta Jr.; his mother, Ernestine Simmons; four sisters, Peggy J. Jordan of Shreveport, Donna Alvet of Slidell, Connie Canifield and Connie Wilson; and his grandfather, Clifford Simmons. Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at Professional Funeral Service, 1620 Elysian Fields Ave. Burial will be private.

James Foster Etienne Sr., a retired employee of the New Orleans Public Belt Railroad, died Tuesday at Touro Infirmary Hospital. He was 88. Mr. Etienne was born in Baldwin and lived in New Orleans for the past 67 years. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees and the AFL-CIO. He was an Army veteran and received the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with Bronze Star and the American Defense Service Medal. Survivors include three sons, Richard J. Johnson and Paul C. and James F. Etienne Jr.; three daughters, Sandra E. Banks, Constance E. Scieneaux and Ada E. Tedford; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. A Mass will be said today at 11 a.m. at St. Matthias Catholic Church, 4230 Broad St. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Providence Memorial Park. Burnell Gould, a retired car salesman, died Sunday of lung failure at Crescent City Health Care Center. He was 68. Mr. Gould was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. Louis Encalade Jr., a self-employed oyster harvester, died May 21 of cancer at his home. He was 60. Mr. Encalade was born in New Orleans and lived in Plaquemines Parish for many years. Survivors include his companion, Joyce Encalade; four sons, Tyrone, Kevin, Wardell and Hal Encalade; four daughters, Lizette and Polly Encalade, and Pauline and Nicole Garcia; his mother, Rose Mary Bentley; six brothers, Gary, Anthony, Frederick and Randy Barthelemy, and Mickey and Eugene Bentley; five sisters, Francis Bentley, Daisey Reddick, Leslie and Judy Barthelemy and June Marie Demolle; and six grandchildren. Joann King Ceaser, a retired clerk typist, died May 10 of complications from blood clots at University Medical Center. She was 40. Mrs. Ceaser was a lifelong resident of Violet. She attended Southeastern University in Hammond. She was employed with Lykes Brothers Steamship Corp. She was a member of Kingdom Ministries Church of God In Christ, where she served as a nonprofit coordinator. Survivors include her husband, Edward Ceaser; a daughter, LaToya Marie Cargo of Violet; her mother, Audrey King of Violet; and two brothers, Thurman F. King of Marrero and Reginald C. King of Alexandria. A funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Full Gospel Church of God In Christ, 1031 N. Ernesto Julian Lopez, a retired employee in the electrical department of Pellerin Milnor Corp., died Sunday of heart failure at Waldon Healthcare. He was 74. Mr. Lopez was born in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba, and lived in Kenner for the past 20 years. He was a graduate of the Institute of Santiago de Cuba. He was a parishioner of Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Josefa Higuera Lopez of Kenner, and a brother, Antonio Lopez of Harvey. A Mass will be said Wednesday at noon at L.A. Muhleisen and Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery No. 3.

William Albert Faucheux, a retired land surveyor for Shell Oil Co., died Wednesday at his home. He was 80. Mr. Faucheux was born in New Orleans and lived in Metairie for the past 40 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was awarded the Bronze Star. He graduated from Warren Easton High School and received a master's degree in engineering and forestry from Louisiana State University. He was a member of the American Legion and was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Duncan Faucheux; a son, Maurice Albert Faucheux; two daughters, Michelle Faucheux Darling and Monique Faucheux Shepard; and two grandchildren.
