Earl Hugo Armond Bonie, a retired machinist, died Sunday of Alzheimer's disease at Metropolitan Hospice. He was 82. Mr. Bonie was born in New Orleans and lived in Metairie for 34 years. He was a former plumber, cab driver, coal miner and tanner. He was an Army veteran. Survivors include two sons, Gary T. Bonie of Costa Mesa, Calif., and Earl W. Bonie; a brother, Melvin Bonie of Chalmette; and two grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday at noon at 624 Darlene Ave., Metairie. Jessie McFadden Sr., a retired employee of National Janitor and Building Maintenance, died Friday at Ochsner Foundation Hospital. He was 75. Mr. McFadden was born in Wilson and lived in New Orleans for the past 55 years. He was a former student of the East Feliciana Parish School System. He was a member of Little Zion Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Edith J. McFadden; a son, Jessie McFadden Jr.; two daughters, Lorna McFadden-Williams and Mildren McFadden-Porter; two brothers, Vinell Costen and Ed Kent, both of Baton Rouge; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Mary Kay Wight, a homemaker, died Wednesday of breast cancer at her home. She was 62. Mrs. Wight was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., and lived in Metairie for the past 27 years. She graduated from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of The Retired Officers Association, and she volunteered for membership drives at WYES-TV. She was an active member of St. Augustine's Episcopal Church. Survivors include her husband, Bill Wight; a daughter, Suzanna Wight; her mother, Tillie Worden; two brothers, John and Thomas Worden; and a sister, Sister Judith Worden. Charles Anthony Magee, a laborer, died Tuesday of stomach cancer at his home. He was 25. Mr. Magee was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. Ermanno Torquato DiMarzio, owner of Domus Ceramic Tile Corp., died Wednesday at his home. He was 87. Mr. DiMarzio was born in Spoltore, Italy, and lived in New Orleans for the past 54 years. He attended the University of Rome. He was a former senior trade analyst for the Italian Trade Commission. He was an officer in the Italian Air Force during World War II. He was a parishioner of St. Pius X Catholic Church and a member of the Italian-American Bocce Club. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Messina DiMarzio; a son, Gregory DiMarzio; two daughters, Linda Massicot and Lisa Rabito; and three grandchildren. A Mass will be said today at 12:30 p.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 6666 Spanish Fort Blvd. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Metairie Cemetery.

Fannie Jacobs, a homemaker, died May 25 in Los Angeles. She was 75. Mrs. Jacobs was born in St. Joseph and lived in New Orleans for 60 years and in Los Angeles for the past four years. She attended St. Joseph High School. Survivors include two sons, Amos Jacobs of Baton Rouge and Charles Jacobs of Houston; three daughters, Shirley Hardy, Denise Boldman and Patricia Jacobs, all of Los Angeles; a sister, Clara Robinson of Waterproof; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The Rev. Oscar Joseph Miller, C.M., a Vincentian priest, died May 27 at Our Lady of Wisdom Assisted Living Home in Algiers. He was 88. Father Miller was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., and lived in Algiers. He taught homiletics, liturgy and biology at various theological seminaries. He was ordained at St. Mary's Seminary in Perryville, Mo. He was past pastor at St. Stephen Catholic Church and St. Joseph Catholic Church in New Orleans and associate pastor of St. Louise de Marillac Catholic Church in Arabi. His last assignment before retirement was at El Carmen Church in San Antonio. Survivors include two brothers, Clarence S. Miller of New Orleans and the Rev. Charles E. Miller of St. John's Seminary in Carmarillo, Calif. A Mass will be said today at 11 a.m. at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1025 Napoleon Ave. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery. Olga Duplan Schwarzenbach, a homemaker, died Sunday in Houston. She was 97. Mrs. Schwarzenbach was born in Algiers and lived in Thibodeaux before moving to Houston 10 years ago. She was a dancer in round and square dance groups and acted in the Community Theater in Thibodeaux. She was a bridge player at the Memorial City Terrace and a member of a line dancing group. Survivors include a son, Hart Schwarzenbach Jr. of Lemoore, Calif.; a daughter, Gayle S. Longmire; 13 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. She was a former member of Galilee Baptist Church in Clinton and a member of Stronger Hope Baptist Church of New Orleans. She also was a member of the Eastern Star Homily, Martha Grand District, Chapter 15. Survivors include two sons, James Westley Wilson and Willie Henry Wilson; a brother, Sonny Tapps; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
