Albert "Peanut" Delcuze Jr., a retired letter carrier, died Friday of heart failure at West Jefferson Medical Center. He was 72. Mr. Delcuze was born in Gretna and lived in Marrero for the past 45 years. He was a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers. He was a sergeant in the Marine Corps. Survivors include his wife, Marie Michel Delcuze; a son, Troy Delcuze; three daughters, Kim Muhleisen, Shannon and Chastity Delcuze; two sisters, Deedee Gondrella and Helen Silverstein; and two grandchildren. A funeral was held Monday at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero. Burial was in Westlawn Park Cemetery.
BIBBINS, CURTIS LAVOR SR.

Curtis Lavor Bibbins Sr., a student at Delgado Community College, died March 22 of a gunshot wound on Interstate 55 in St. John the Baptist Parish. He was 20. Mr. Bibbins was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. He graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. He was previously employed at Sav-A-Center. He was a member of the Desire Community Center League, the Trinity League and Rosenwald Gym. Survivors include a son, Curtis Bibbins Jr.; his mother, Katrina B. Dowell; his stepfathers, Anthony Dowell and Ronald Washington; a brother, Ronald Bibbins; a sister, Cyndi Thomas; two stepsisters, Heidi Thompson and Anthonika Wilson; and his grandparents, William Johnson, Hannah S. Bibbins and John and Bobbie Thomas. A funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. James Methodist Church of Louisiana, 1925 Ursulines Ave. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Providence Memorial Park Cemetery. D.W. Morrison Curtis Bethea Jr., a student at Washington and Lee University, died Monday in New Orleans. He was 22. Mr. Bethea was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. He was a cum laude graduate of Metairie Park Country Day School and a member of the Academic Honor Society. He was on the dean's list at Washington and Lee University. He had been an intern at J.C. Bradford and Co. in New Orleans and at Bear Stearns in New York. He was the Louisiana high school golf champion in 1998, captain of the varsity golf team and a member of the Scholar Athletic Academic Honor Roll at Washington and Lee, received the Old Dominion Athletic Conference All-Conference Academic Award and was a member of Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity, the Williams Investment Society and New Orleans Country Club. Survivors include his father, Morrison Curtis Bethea; his mother, Brenda Gooch Bethea; a brother, Theodore Cobb Bethea II; and a sister, Nancy Bethea Howell. A funeral will be held today at 2 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1329 Jackson Ave. Visitation will begin at noon at Trinity Parish House. Burial will be in Metairie Cemetery. Rosalie T. Cerbini, a special education assistant at Clancy Elementary and Airline Park Elementary Schools, died Saturday at Select Specialty Hospital in Metairie. She was 77. Mrs. Cerbini was born in New Orleans and lived in Metairie for the past 43 years. She was a member of St. Philip Neri Young at Heart Club, Our Lady of Divine Providence Catholic Church and its Ushers Club, and VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 3267, Harahan. Survivors include her husband, John C. Cerbini Sr.; three sons, John C. Jr., Myron J. and Brett L. Cerbini; a brother, Emile P. Totaro; and two sisters, Bernice Benedetto Statham and Ethel Totaro Lassalle . A Mass will be said today at 1 p.m. at Lamana-Panno-Fallo Funeral Home Chapel, 1717 Veterans Memorial Blvd. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Raymond Valentine Daste, a retired bricklayer with the International Union of Bricklayers & Allied Craft Workers Local No. 1, died Sunday at Memorial Medical Center. He was 83. Mr. Daste was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his companion, Gloria Barbarin, and a brother, Elmore Daste. A Mass will be said Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 2545 Bayou Road. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Larry Philip Berthold, died Wednesday of undetermined causes at Meadowcrest Hospital in Gretna. He was 52. Mr. Berthold was born in Dayton, Ohio, and lived in Gretna for the past five years. Survivors include his wife, Karen Woods Berthold; a son, Lenny Berthold; two daughters, Jamie Hunter and Cristina Coleman; his mother, Lorraine Levin; and four grandchildren. Dorothy L. Smith Watts, a retired day-care worker and caregiver, died Tuesday at Pendleton Memorial Methodist Hospital. She was 80. Mrs. Watts was born in Mandeville and lived in New Orleans for most of her life. She was a day-care worker at Perrault's Kiddie College and a caregiver at Plantation Nursing Home. She was a member of St. Paul's Ladies Auxiliary and the Elegant Ladies. Survivors include four sons, Larry, Bruce, Carl Sr. and Wilbert A Watts Jr.; four daughters, Evelyn Dawson, Jacquelyn Watts, Beverly Smith and Denise Curtis; a stepdaughter, Wanda Santa Marina; two brothers, Clarence and Morris Smith; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 6828 Chef Menteur Highway. Timothy Earl Cain, a cook at the Trolley Stop Cafe, died March 2 of lung failure at University Hospital because of a gunshot wound May 23. He was 34. Mr. Cain was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. Clara Otillar Wortmann, a homemaker, died Tuesday of lung disease at her home. She was 74. Mrs. Wortmann was born in New Orleans and lived in Biloxi, Miss., for the past year. Paul Raymond Trapani Sr., a retired bartender at Boomtown Casino, died Tuesday of a stroke at Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was 75. Mr. Trapani was born in New Orleans and lived in Harvey for the past 50 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Rosemary Molinary Trapani; a son, Paul Raymond Trapani Jr.; a daughter, Linda Rita Trapani Beer; two stepsons, Russell A. and Paul A. Petta; two stepdaughters, Rosalyn P.
