Lois Courseault Winchester, a piano teacher and homemaker, died Thursday of undetermined causes at her home. She was 64. Mrs. Winchester was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. She graduated from Joseph S. Clark High School and Xavier University. She was founder of Magic Keys Piano Studio and was a former adjunct professor at Delgado Community College. She was also the former district director of the National Federation of Music Clubs, former president of Metropolitan Piano Teachers Association, former chairwoman of the St. Mary's Academy Debutante Ball, secretary of Academy Park Homeowners Association and former secretary of St. Mary's Academy PTA. Survivors include her husband, Lawrence Trevor Winchester Jr.; three sons, Lawrence Richard III, Eric David and Todd Gerard Winchester; two daughters, Yvette Cecilia and Susan Marie Winchester; and two grandchildren. A Mass will be said Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6828 Chef Menteur Highway. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery No. 3. Charbonnet-Labat Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Willie Nelson died Friday at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. He was 78. Mr. Nelson was a lifelong resident of Covington. He was an Army veteran of World War II. A funeral will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Bethel Reform Methodist Church, 602 W. 29th Ave., Covington. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery. Joyce Frazier Williams, a retired presser at TLC, died Monday of heart failure at Memorial Medical Center. She was 73. Mrs. Williams was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. Survivors include two brothers, Nathan and Kenneth Clavo; a sister, Naomi Bercy; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Marilyn Charbonnet King, a homemaker and former secretary, died Monday of kidney failure at her home. She was 73. Mrs. King was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. She had been a secretary at St. Dominic School. She was a member of AARP and a volunteer at Malta Square. Survivors include a son, Michael King; two daughters, Mary Beth Lampert and Bridget King; a brother, Richard Charbonnet; a sister, Merle Ignolia; and three grandchildren. Clarence L. Arabie, a retired machine engineer for Amstar Sugar Refinery, died Friday at Chalmette Medical Center. He was 96. Mr. Arabie was born in Matthews and lived in St. Bernard Parish for 13 years. Survivors include two daughters, Gladys A. Livaccari and Jennielee A. Allain; a brother, Alceste Arabie Sr.; four sisters, Hazel Roussel, Emma Gonzales, Alma Tusa and May Bassele; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be held today at noon at St. Mark Catholic Church, 3024 Charles Drive, Chalmette. Otto Rene McDonald, a hair stylist, died Friday of cancer at his home. He was 42. Mr. McDonald was born in Guatamala City, Guatamala, and lived in New Orleans. Survivors include his father, Huey McDonald Sr.; his mother, Lidia Perez; his stepmother, Anna Lemoine McDonald; two brothers, Johnathan and Huey McDonald Jr.; and four sisters, Linda Vicknair, Penelope Rome, Lillie McDonald and Vivian Jordan. James Dean Tisdale, a marine design engineer and shrimp boat captain, died Wednesday of complications from diabetes at Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was 61. Mr. Tisdale was born in Florala, Ala., and lived in West Pearl River Village in Slidell for 25 years and in the Lake Catherine area for the past 15 years. Survivors include his wife, Linda McBride Tisdale; two daughters, Susan T. Sprague of Slidell and Sandra T. Witherspoon of Memphis, Tenn.; and three grandchildren. She was an employee of Mulate's Restaurant. Survivors include her father, Vincent Washington; her mother, Colette Smith; a brother, Kijuan Smith; and five sisters, Vinguel, Tonshae, Krystal, Quinesha and Danisha Smith. A funeral will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at St. James Methodist Church of Louisiana, 1925 Ursuline Ave. Visitation will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. at Tilly's Funeral Home, 2831 St. Claude Ave., and Monday from 8 to 10 a.m. at the church.
