Barbara Ann Johnson, a homemaker, died Tuesday of colon cancer at Ochsner Foundation Hospital. She was 66. Mrs. Johnson was born in Franklin and lived in New Orleans for 40 years. She attended Washington Parish High School and Southern University at New Orleans. Survivors include her husband, James M. Johnson; two daughters, Dasney Diakhaby and Carmelita Ratna; two brothers, Robert Earl Bridges and Gregory Bridges of Washington, D.C.; four sisters, Mary Madison of Indianapolis, Louise Rutherford of Worcester, Mass., and Catherine Roy of Port Allen and Barbara Smith; and a grandchild. A funeral will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Bultman Funeral Home, 3338 St. Charles Ave. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Providence Park.

Gerald Michael "Mike" Heacock, a retired manager for Chrysler Financial Services, died Thursday of cancer at his home. He was 63. Mr. Heacock was born in Princeton, Ind., and lived in the New Orleans area for 28 years. He attended Owensboro High School and the University of Kentucky. Survivors include his father, Gerald Heacock; his mother, Helen France Heacock; and a brother, Harold Rex Heacock, all of Tuscaloosa, Ala. A funeral will be held today at 2 p.m. at L.A. Muhleisen and Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. A graveside service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park Cemetery in Tuscaloosa.

Syble Inez Taylor Damonte, a homemaker and Navy veteran, died May 30 at East Jefferson General Hospital. She was 80. Mrs. Damonte was born in Oil City and lived in New Orleans for the past 57 years. She attended Centenary College in Shreveport. She was a specialist 3rd class in the Navy during World War II and was on the staff of the fleet of Adm. Ernest King at the Pentagon. She was one of the first to enlist in the Navy's WAVES for the Tri-State Squadron. She was a member of Munholland Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, Lowell Taylor Damonte of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a daughter, Laura Elaine Damonte McDonald of Littleton, Colo.; two stepdaughters, Karen Damonte Pickren of Baton Rouge and Joan Damonte Adams; four brothers, William Garrett, Richard Samuel, Donald Eugene and Doyle Wayne Taylor; a sister, Maxine Taylor Webb; three grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; and 19 step-great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held today at 11:30 a.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Metairie Cemetery.

Alfred Jardet Crowley Jr., a retired machinist, died Friday at Meadowcrest Living Center. He was 83. He was a lifelong resident of Gretna. Harry Elwood Clatterbuck, a retired tire salesman, died Thursday of complications from heart failure at Slidell Memorial Hospital. He was 64. Mr. Clatterbuck was born in Front Royal, Va., and lived in Slidell for the past 25 years. He was a parishioner of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Bender Clatterbuck; three sons, Richard E. Clatterbuck of Baltimore, Md., William E. Clatterbuck and K. Martyn School, Louisiana State University at New Orleans and Christian Bible College. She was a member of Naomi Chapter No. 19, Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include her husband, Lenox Tate Jr.; a daughter, De'Aundria R. Beal; her mother, Rozelia Weber; two brothers, Richard Weber Sr. and Melvin Weber; and five sisters, Verna Mae Newman, Betty Quiet, Brenda Stewart, Evelyn Lawson and Mary Weber. Kathy Gauthier Stevens, a sales representative for Nikken in Florida, died May 31 of complications after surgery for pancreatic cancer at Mount Sinai Hospital in Miami. She was 50. Ms. Stevens was born in Metairie and lived in Naples, Fla., for the past 10 years. She was a graduate of St. Martin's Episcopal School and Stephens College. Survivors include a daughter, Michelle Stevens; her mother, Betty Gauthier-Martzolf; her stepfather, Gary Edwin Martzolf; and two sisters, Karen Gauthier Harmony and Kristine Gauthier Childs.
