David E. Feltner, a retired technical sergeant in the Air Force, died Monday of heart failure at his home. He was 63. Mr. Feltner was born in Hamilton, Ohio, and lived in Gretna for the past 24 years. He was a member of Anchor of Hope Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Eva Hall Feltner; three sons, Terry Lee, Duwaine "Boo" and David E. Feltner Jr.; five sisters, Marcia Martinez, Hazel Fleener, Angela Arnett, Sylvia Tuffey and Mary Sparks; and seven grandchildren. A funeral will be held Friday at 9 a.m. at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 West Bank Expressway, Harvey. Visitation will be today from 6 to 10 p.m. and will resume Friday at 8 a.m. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Elwood A. Dupont, a retired operator for Kaiser Aluminum, died Wednesday of heart failure at Lifecare Hospital. He was 78. Mr. Dupont was born in Plaucheville and lived in St. Bernard Parish for 43 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Eddie Jean Snell Dupont; two sons, Michael and Randy Dupont; two daughters, Deborah Gabriel and Linda Dupont; a brother, Lacey Paul Dupont; three sisters, Mildred D. Bihm, Myrtle D. Jeansonne and Geneva Newman; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Vickers, Verrette and Dornan Funeral Home, 3027 Jean Lafitte Parkway in Chalmette. Victor A. Demarest Sr., a retail salesman, died Monday in Aurora, Colo. He was 76. Mr. Demarest was born in New Orleans and lived in Littleton, Colo. He served in the Navy during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Edler Demarest; a son, Victor Alexis Demarest; a daughter, Carol Alexis Evans; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Living Hope Fellowship Church, 36 West Springer Drive, Highlands Ranch, Colo.

Salvador "Sal" Joseph Dalleo III, an automobile mechanic, died Saturday of undetermined causes at his home. He was 35. Mr. Dalleo was born in New Orleans and lived in Pearl River for the past four years. Survivors include his wife, Frances Darlene Taylor Dalleo; a son, Salvador Joseph Dalleo IV; a stepson, Michael P. Schmiderer; a stepdaughter, Dawn M. Schmiderer; his father, Salvador J. Dalleo Jr.; his mother, Maryann Ducote De Armas; his stepmother, Scheryl Williams; a brother, Michael Nelson; three sisters, Tina Phillips, Kelly Dean and August Dalleo; a stepbrother, Joseph Williams; and a stepsister, Danielle Williams. Joseph "Papa Joe" Armstead Sr., a retired stock clerk, died Saturday at Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was 77. Mr. Armstead was born in Colfax and lived in New Orleans for the past 30 years. He was a former employee at the Naval Commissary. He was an Army veteran and was awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Ribbon, the Victory Ribbon and Overseas Service Bars. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Duplessis Armstead; seven sons, Gregory, Michael, Reginald, Tracy, Gary and Darrell Armstead, all of San Diego, and Joseph Armstead Jr.; four daughters, Brenda Jordan and Julanda Armstead, both of San Diego, and Stephanie and Lucette Armstead both of Stone Mountain, Ga.; two stepsons, Kerry and Byron Thomas; a brother, Otho Armstead of Los Angeles; and two sisters, Katie Bosworth of Alexandria and Eliza Shorter.
