Barbara Peyton Miller, a homemaker, died Sunday of respiratory failure at Memorial Medical Center. She was 51. Mrs. Miller was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. She was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School. Survivors include her husband, William Peter Miller; two sons, Jason Michael Miller and William Peter Miller Jr.; her mother, Elizabeth D. Peyton; and a grandchild. A Mass will be said today at 11 a.m. at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal Street. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will be private.

Takako Takahashi Lincoln, a homemaker, died May 25 of complications from a head injury at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Del. She was 68. Mrs. Lincoln was born in Tokyo and lived in New Orleans for three years and in Wilmington, Del., for the past six months. She came to the United States in 1961. She was a Buddhist member of Soka Gakkai International. Survivors include a son, Larry Lincoln of Wilmington; a daughter, Lisa Lincoln of New Orleans; three brothers, all of Tokyo; two sisters, both of Tokyo; and four grandchildren. A Buddhist memorial will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Soka Gakkai International New Orleans Community Center, 2926 Canal St.

Challing Eugene Albert LeBlanc died Saturday in a boating accident on Lake Maurepas. He was 4. Challing was a lifelong resident of Reserve. Survivors include his parents, Elizabeth DeLaneuville LeBlanc and Stephen "Kosh" LeBlanc; a brother, Channing LeBlanc; two sisters, Channie and Chassie LeBlanc; and his grandparents, Gladys and Albert LeBlanc and Lydia DeLaneuville. A Mass will be said at noon at St. Peter Catholic Church in Reserve. Visitation will be today from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home on Airline Highway in LaPlace. Burial will be in the church's cemetery.

Emma Hughes, a retired self-employed seamstress, died Monday at Covenant House Nursing Home. She was 88. Miss Hughes was born in Norwood, lived in Los Angeles for many years and resided in New Orleans for the past 25 years. Survivors include many cousins. A graveside service will be held today at 10 a.m. at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery. D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Lakeshia Ann Howard, a photo technician, died of a gunshot wound Thursday at Charity Hospital. She was 19. Ms. Howard was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. She graduated from Alcee Fortier High School and was a member of its Air Force Junior ROTC. Survivors include a son, Corey Antonie Howard; her father, Freddie Cloudy; her mother, Debra Ann Howard; two sisters, Latasha Anthony and Latisha Howard; her grandfather, Nolan Howard Sr.; and her grandmother, Hattie Howard. A funeral will be held today at 11 a.m. at Providence Baptist Church, 2311 Seventh St. Visitation begins at 8 a.m. Burial will be in Holt Cemetery. Calvin J. Ivy May Hamilton, a custodian, died Monday at St. Charles Health Care. She was 87. Mrs. Hamilton was born in Belize City, Belize, and lived in New Orleans for the past seven years. Louis A. "Lou" Friloux Jr., a retired lieutenant colonel in the Army, died Monday of heart failure at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Columbus, Miss. He was 69. Mr. Friloux was born in New Orleans and lived in Columbus. He was a graduate of St. Benedict's College, Atchison, Kan., and the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, Kan. Mr. Friloux was in the Army during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was a parishioner of Annunciation Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Friloux was a member of the Retired Officers Association, the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans. He earned a Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal with oak leaf cluster and Army Commendation Medal with oak leaf cluster. Survivors include his wife, Rhena Joan Dowty Friloux of Columbus; four sons, David Norman Friloux and Dr. Brian Kent Friloux, both of Tupelo, Miss., Dr. Mark Allen Friloux and Dr. Louis A. Friloux III of Washington, D.C.; a daughter, Lisa Friloux of Gulfport, Miss.; a brother, Edward E. Friloux of Carencro; and nine grandchildren. A Mass will be said Thursday at 2 p.m. at Annunciation Catholic Church, 823 College Street, Columbus. The Rev. Edward D. DeRussy, S.J., a chaplain and a high school and college teacher, died Saturday of emphysema and congestive heart failure at Ignatius Residence. He was 75. Father DeRussy graduated from Jesuit High School and attended Loyola University, Spring Hill College and St. Mary College. After his ordination in 1957, he taught at Jesuit high schools in Tampa, Fla., El Paso, Texas, New Orleans and Houston. He taught at Spring Hill College for seven years. In 1990, he began a second career in pastoral work in various Catholic parishes in Florida. Recently, he was chaplain at St. John's Hospital in Houston. He was active until two weeks ago, when he entered Ignatius Residence. A Mass will be said today at 11 a.m. at Thomas Hall Chapel at Loyola University. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Jesuit Cemetery at St. Charles College in Grand Coteau.

Salvador "Sal" Joseph Dalleo III, an automobile mechanic, died Saturday of undetermined causes at his home. He was 35. Mr. Dalleo was born in New Orleans and lived in Pearl River for the past four years. Survivors include his wife, Frances Darlene Taylor Dalleo; a son, Salvador Joseph Dalleo IV; a stepson, Michael P. Schmiderer; a stepdaughter, Dawn M. Schmiderer; his father Salvador J. Dalleo Jr.; his mother, Maryann Dalleo; his stepmother, Scheryl Williams; a brother, Michael Nelson; three sisters, Tina Phillips, Kelly Dean and August Dalleo; a stepbrother, Joseph Williams; and a stepsister, Danielle Williams. Survivors include three sons, Ernest E. Cunningham of Pearl River, Paul M. Cunningham of Violet and Dee M. Cunningham of Chalmette; a daughter, Carolyn Ann Graves of SoSo, Miss.; three brothers, James Wright of Lacombe, Roy Wright of Hattiesburg, Miss., and Orbie Wright of Atlanta; six sisters, Myrtle Decker of Chalmette, Hazel Colglazier and Thelma Kennedy of New Orleans, Mildred Owens of Laurel, Ruth Maples of Salt Lake City and Opal Hanna of Sandhill, Miss.; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
