Anthony L. Giammanchere Jr., a retired sheet metal mechanic with Corrugated Industries, died Thursday at Slidell Memorial Hospital. He was 87. Mr. Giammanchere was born in New Orleans and lived in Slidell for the past 16 years. He was a parishioner of St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church in Slidell. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union and Local No. 11 in New Orleans. Survivors include his wife, Marquerite Greco Giammanchere of Slidell; one son, Anthony L. Giammanchere III of Slidell; a brother, Joseph Giammanchere of New Orleans; a sister, Conchetta G. Boudro of New Orleans; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held today at 2 p.m. at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. West, Slidell. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

June Sehrt Duplass, a homemaker, died Friday at Ochsner Foundation Hospital. She was 77. Mrs. Duplass was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. She graduated from Eleanor McMain High School. She was a member of the Lakeshore Women's Club and the Duplicate Bridge Center and was a parishioner of St. Pius X Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, Lawrence S. Duplass; three sons, Lawrence J., James A. and Dan J. Duplass; a daughter, Linda Duplass Sunseri; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A Mass will be said today at 10 a.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Lake Lawn Park.

Billy Joe Duncan, a forensic investigator for the Jefferson Parish coroner's office, died Wednesday of rhabdomyolysis at Slidell Memorial Hospital. He was 56. Mr. Duncan was born in Tylertown, Miss., and lived in Eden Isles for the past 10 years. He was an Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Ann Meyers Duncan; a brother, Johnny R. Duncan; and two sisters, Wessie D. Metz and Betty D. May. A funeral will be held today at noon at L.A. Muhleisen and Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m.

Olga Theresa Ducote, a retired manager with Tabs Lounge, died Wednesday of heart disease at her home. She was 69. Mrs. Ducote was born in Marksville and lived in Harahan for the past 35 years. Survivors include two sons, David and Buddy Winters Jr., both of Mary Esther, Fla.; a daughter, Pamela Winters of Siverville , Tenn.; a brother, Leonard Ducote of Alexandria; a sister, Della Ducote of Ville Platte; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Claude "Cat Daddy" Burbank, a gardener, died May 20 of cancer at King Hospital in Los Angeles. He was 42. Mr. Burbank was born in New Orleans and lived in Los Angeles for the past five years. Survivors include his companion, Jennie Johnson; his father, Joseph Burbank; his stepmother, Ethel Burbank; two brothers, Joseph Burbank of Victor Ville, Calif., and Clyde Burbank of Atlanta; five sisters, Claudette, Miriam and Sherline Burbank, all of New Orleans, and Lawanda and Shawanda Burbank, both of California; four stepbrothers, Derrick, Kenneth and Wilford Burbank of Compton, Calif., and Clyde Washington of LaPlace; and four stepsisters, Joann, Patricia, Erica and Cynthia Burbank, all of Compton. Harry Albert Heinz Jr., a master plumber and owner and operator of Heinz Plumbing Co., died Thursday at his home. He was 84. Mr. Heinz was a graduate of Alcee Fortier High School and attended the University of Alabama. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II as a mechanic and gunner and was promoted to second lieutenant. He received the Good Conduct Medal and the Sharpshooter Citation. Survivors include his wife, Rosemary Dunn Heinz; a son, Harry A. Heinz III of Prairieville; a sister, Alice Heinz Lampo; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Mrs. Williams was born in St. Francisville and lived in New Orleans for the past 68 years. She was a member of Gentilly Delight, Chapter No. 31 Order of the Eastern Star.
