Mark Dixon Hodges

Mark Dixon Hodges, 59, died on Monday, August 5, 2013 at Baton Rouge General Butterfly Wing. He was a resident of Baton Rouge. He was a retired IT and Modernization Project Manager for the Department of Children and Family services for 28 years.
Visiting will be at Zachary United Methodist Church on Thursday, August 8, 2013 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visiting will continue at the church on Friday from 9:00 am until service time at 11:00 am conducted by Rev. Greg Davis and Deacon Chris Roberts. Followed by a 1:00 pm graveside service at St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church Cemetery in Livonia. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Betty Laudermill Hodges, numerous non-biological children, mother, DeeDee Hodges, Sister, Fran Firmin " Baby Sister", Brother, Swindell Hodges, Jr., Niece, Meaghan Hodges and Nephew, Kyle Hodges. He was preceded in death by his father, A.S. "Smokey" Hodges, Grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. CR Draughon and Mr. and Mrs. S.N. Hodges, Uncles, Archie Watson and ML Hodges and cousins, CR Draughon, Ned Draughon and Beccy Breeden. Pallbearers will be Dave Byland, Anthony Napolitano, Samuel B. Guillory, Charles Watson, Thomas Watson, Ryan Laudermill, Chuck Laudermill and Charles Thibaut. Honorary Pallbearers are Les Miles, Skip Holtz, Carroll Breeden, Lloyd Laudermill and James Laudermill, Jr. He was a lifelong member of Zachary United Methodist Church, He earned his BS in Forestry from LA Tech where he was a member of Alpha Zeta Agriculture Honor Society and a TAF member for 12 years. Joey "Boo Boo" Lee Feierabend
(June 8, 1983 - August 3, 2013)
"The Lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful, over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord" Matthew 25:21 A resident of Clinton and a former employee of Boyd Construction, he died August 3, 2013 at Lane Regional Medical Center. He was 30 years old. Visiting will be at Zion Lutheran Church in Clinton on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013 from 6pm until 9pm and continues on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013 from 9am until service at 11am conducted by Pastor Stan Clark. Burial will be in Zion Evangelicial Lutheran Church Cemetery, Clinton. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Feierabend. Children, Olivia Joy Feierabend, and Kat'Lyn Louise Feierabend. Parents, Jerry and Janice Feierabend, Uncles, David, Timothy, Alvin and Herman Feierabend and Johnny, Ronnie, Donnie and Chad Blackard. Special friend, Kat Reynolds. He preceded in death by a son, Christian Jacob Feierabend, sister, Joyce Ann Feierabend, and grandparents, Helen Kent and Fred Feierabend. He was a former bull rider and fighter. He was an avid sports fan, especially the Dallas Cowboys. Memorial donations may be made to defray funeral expenses.
Betty Jane Ellis Williams Anzalone

A resident of Zachary, she died peacefully Wednesday, July 31, 2013. She was 77 years old and a 50+ year survivor of breast cancer. Visiting will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Zachary on Monday, Aug. 5, 2013 from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am conducted by Fr. M. Jeffery Bayhi. Inurnment will be at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens in Chalmette on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013 at 1:30pm. She is survived by her husband of 10 years, Joe Anzalone, Sr. Sons, Danny Williams and wife, Sherry and Kendall Williams. Step Children, Joseph Anzalone, Jr. and wife Tricia; John Anzalone and wife, Cheryl; Jill Anzalone Byrd and Donna Melerine. Brother, Willie J. Ellis and wife, Sandra. 8 grandchildren, Tiffany Gremillion, Ashley Johnson, Courtney Schwartzenburg, Amanda Guillory, Matthew Williams, Jessica Williams, James Williams and Kasey Williams, 6 step-grandchildren, Carmen, Amanda, Brandt and Lauren Anzalone, Simone Byrd and Victoria Melerine and 7 great grandchildren, Siarra and Hunter Gremillion, Kaley, Lydia, Emmelyn and Rylan Johhnson and Adalyn Schwartzenburg. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She loved gardening and birds. She adored her grandchildren and was loved by all. Ronnie Dewitt Covington

Ronnie Dewitt Covington, Jr., 34, a resident of Denham Springs, LA and a native of St. Francisville, LA, died on Friday, July 26, 2013. Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc in Zachary on Monday, July 29, 2013 from 9am until funeral services at 11am, conducted by Pastor Joel Williams. Burial will be at Star Hill Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Jackie Covington; one daughter, Mackenzie Covington; two sons, Blake Covington and Mason Covington; his mother, Martha Gayle; his father, Ronnie Covington Sr. and stepmother Dharshani Covington; sister Christy Wheeler and her husband Tommy Wheeler; step-sister Sayuri Perera. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Johnny Gayle, grandmother Dorothy Powell, grandfather Dencil Powell, grandmother Edna Covington, and grandfather Edward Covington. Pallbearers will be Brandon Tubb, Tommy Wheeler, Dencil Powell III, Darryl Powell, Glenn Carroll, and Eddie Galloway. Ronnie loved working on cars, watching movies (especially westerns), and he was known as someone with a good heart who would help anyone in need.
John D. Thompson III "Trey"
(February 27, 1981 - July 19, 2013)
Trey passed away peacefully Friday, July 19, 2013 at his parents home after a three year courageous battle with a brain tumor. His courage and fight was an inspiration to all who knew him. He was 32 years old and a resident of Denham Springs and a native of Zachary, La. He was a paramedic with East Baton Rouge Emergency Medical Services for seven years. He was a 1999 graduate of Zachary High School and 2006 graduate of Our Lady of Lake College. He was Outstanding Emergency Health Science Student of his graduating class at Our Lady of Lake College. Trey received the Emergency Medical Service Medal of Honor in August, 2008. He was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church. Trey is survived by his wife of four years, Casey Engels Thompson and their precious, beloved daughter Bristol Lynn, his parents, Johnny and Connie Thompson, his sister and her husband, Tara and Rob Farmer, his father and mother-in-law, Randy and Sherri Engels, his brother in law and wife, Renn and Amber Engels, his nieces and nephews, Ellen and Aiden Farmer and Dawson and Onaleigh Engels, his paternal grandmother, Cecile Thompson Thoms, and his maternal grandmother, Eva Farrar Welch. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, John D. Thompson, Sr. and maternal grandparents, Glen D. Farrar and Edith Behrnes Farrar. Visitation will be held at Charlet Funeral Home in Zachary, LA on Thursday, July 25, 2013, from 5:00 p.m until 9:00 p.m. and at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Baton Rouge, LA on Friday, July 26, 2013, from 10:00 a.m until the Mass of Christian Burial at noon with the Rev. Frank J. Bass, celebrant. The burial will follow at the St. Isidore Catholic Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Barry Barrett, Renn Engels, Rob Farmer, Stephen Martinez, Paul Mier, James Warner, Jay Watson and Mike Zeitler. Honorary Pallbearers are Trey's uncles, Randy Farrar, Wayne Hagg, Frank Jones, Donnie Junot, Gary Thompson, and Joey Watson. The family would like to thank Trey's East Baton Rouge Parish Emergency Medical Services family for their unending support throughout his illness. We are forever grateful. Ethel Arnaud Thompson "Mamere"

Ethel Arnaud Thompson, 88, known to her family as "Mamere" passed away Friday evening July 19, 2013. Born November 2, 1924, she was native of Arnaudville, LA and a resident of Ethel, LA where she will be buried. We will always remember her as a independent and vigorous woman. Mamere was an amazing cook and will be greatly missed. She was proceeded in death by her husband John Burton Thompson, of Clinton, LA. Mamere is survived by her daughter Michelle Thompson Sibley of Baton Rouge, LA and her son George H. Thompson of Ethel, LA. Also by her grandchildren; Jason and his wife Lauren Sibley; Eric Sibley; Nicole and her husband Chase Braswell, Melissa Thompson and Kayce Thompson. Ethel was blessed with 5 great grandchildren; Kailyn, Morgan, Raegan, and Brinnyn Sibley and also Hayden Thompson. Services will be held at her residence with close family and friends on Monday, July 22, 2013. The family asks that in lieu of flowers that a donation be made in her name to a if charity of your choice.

He was 75 years old and was retired from Dixon Correctional Institute. Visiting will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary on Friday, July 19, 2013 from 5pm until 9pm and continues on Saturday, July 20, 2013 from 11am until service at 1pm conducted by Bro. Wayne Mayers. Burial will be at Second Baptist Church Cemetery, Jackson. He is survived by his wife of 8 years, Margie M. Harrell. Daughters, Leisa Allbee and Tamara Maples and husband, Terry. Stepson, Lester “Yoga” Smith. Brother, Ronny Harrell.5 grandchildren, Jodi Harrell, Joshua Harrell, Richard Allbee II, Justin Maples, and Jeremey Maples. Adopted granddaughter, Gina Stampley and 3 step grandchildren. 4 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Haley and his parents, Floyd and Marcell Harrell.
