Kelli Shawn Roberts Lee

Kelli Shawn Roberts Lee passed away on Monday, September 3, 2012, at her grandmother's home in Baker. Kelli was a tenacious fighter, a strong, brave person who taught many around her how to persevere. She was well loved and best known for her homemade, tasty treats and her creativity. She was 42 and a native of Baker. Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary on Thursday, September 6, 2012 from 9am until funeral services at 12 noon, conducted by her brother-in-law, Bishop Ricky Sinclair. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Baker. She is survived by one daughter, Kaylin Dawn Robicheaux, and a son, Kyle Edwin Robicheaux, both of Brusly; father, John Walter "Jack" Roberts II of Baker; mother, Patricia Mullins Cantu and husband Thomas Cantu of Maurepas; stepmother; Debra Perault Mouton, two sisters, Rhonda Roberts Almquist of Baton Rouge and Jeannie Roberts Sinclair and husband, the Rev. Ricky Sinclair of Baker; three brothers, Ryan Roberts, Aaron Roberts and Jacob Roberts, all of Baker; grandmother, Nettie Keller Bennett of Baker; nieces – Kacie Lesinki, Brittany Law, Karlie Law, Renee Lambert and nephews -Stirling Sinclair, and Zachary Sinclair, and Lance Morris. She was a member of Miracle Place Church in Baker. Preceded in death by her grandfather, Claude Mullins, grandmother, Lila Mullins, and sisters, Michelle McKenzie and Kerri Roberts. It is fitting that Kelli should leave at such a time, post-Hurricane Isaac and on Labor Day. She beat the storm then laid down to rest. "Come unto Me, all you that struggle and are weighed down, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28.

Jerry Ann Tate died on August 22, 2012. She was 73 years old and a resident of Jackson. She was retired from Villa Feliciana Medical Complex, where she worked for 30 years. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Jackson. Interment will be in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church Cemetery, St. Francisville. She is survived by 1 nephew, Ritchie Bordelon & wife Andrea; a niece, Angela Chatelain & husband Raymond; 5 grandnieces and grandnephews, Lyndsey, Madelyn, & Garett Bordelon, Brittany & Brooke Chatelain and longtime companion, Eddie Mack. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Paul Bordelon, Sr. & Georgia Bordelon, and brother, Ernest Paul Bordelon, Jr.

Mildred Foster White, 76, passed away peacefully at her home in Baker, LA on Saturday, June 16, 2012. She was a native of Petal, MS. Visiting will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., Zachary on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 from 9:00 am until service time at 11:30 am conducted by Rev. Basil Wicker. Burial will be in Port Hudson National Cemetery, Zachary, LA. She is survived by her children, Sheldon White and wife Brandy of Baker, Mary Beth Allen and husband Danny of Charlotte, NC and Benny White, Jr. and wife Diane of Denham Springs, Brothers, W.C. Foster and wife Margie of Walker and Dub Foster of Mississippi, Grandchildren, Savanna Carpenter and husband Ray, Mary Lyvers and Fiance' Chip Chisholm, Philip Cote', Sarah White and Hannah Jones and great grandchildren, Benjamin Cote', Alayna Cote' Asa Lyvers, Hunter Harris, Haylee Harris and Baylie Harris. She was preceded in death by her devoted and loving husband, Benny White, Sr., daughter and son in law, Sharon and Melvin Childress and sister, Carlee Doughty. George Hubert Free, "Georgio", 69, a resident of Zachary, LA died on Monday, June 18, 2012 at his home. He was retired, after working for the East Baton Rouge City Parish for over 23 years. Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 from 5pm until 8pm and then on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Zachary (4727 McHugh Drive) from 9am until funeral services at 10am, conducted by Fr. M. Jeffery Bayhi. Burial will be in Greenoaks Memorial Park in Baton Rouge. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia Thibodeaux Free; one daughter, Lisa Free Cupit and her husband Raphael Cupit of Zachary; one son, Jason Patrick Free and his wife Jennifer Rouse Free of Baker; one sister, Mary Free Barbati and her husband Bobby J. Barbati of Baton Rouge; three grandchildren Amanda Brooke Cupit, Adam Benjamin Cupit, and Allison Rose Cupit; one great grandchild, Hayden Rayne Hebert. He was preceded in death by his parents Leon Free and Josephine Reno Free, and his great-nephew Caleb Michael Godso. Pallbearers will be Anthony Reno, Adam Cupit, Travis Hebert, Jimmy Reno, Del Godso, and Jimmy Thibodeaux. Honorary pallbearer will be Pete Giordano. Richards, Mazie Rita Achee, 86, a former resident of Baker and native of Smoke Bend, LA, died on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary. Visiting will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., Zachary on Monday, June 18, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visiting will continue on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Baker, where she was a faithful member for at least 50 years, from 9:00 a.m. until Mass at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Fr. Frank Bass, with a 10:00 a.m. rosary. Burial will be in Greenoaks Memorial Park in Baton Rouge. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Edward E., Jr. and Gayle Foster Richards; sister, Faye Mumphrey; two grandchildren, Matt Richards and wife Sandy and Kelley Richards; three great-grandchildren, Chad Richards, Ethan Richards and Seth Richards. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward E. Richards, Sr.; parents, Eugene and Azillia Brossett Achee; one brother, Eugene Achee, Jr. and one sister, Jewel Hughes. Douglas Reginald Robson, a retired employee of Crown Zellerbach, where he worked for over 35 years, died on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at West Feliciana Hospital in St. Francisville. Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 from 9 a.m. until funeral services at 11 a.m., conducted by Rev. Jesse Means.
