Briscoe, Robert Kyle, 52, died on Tuesday, June 19, 2012. He was a resident of Central, LA. Visiting will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., Zachary on Thursday, June 21, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Visiting will be at Williamsburg Baptist Church, Collins, MS on Friday, June 22, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Tammy Gentry Briscoe, daughter, Megan Elizabeth Briscoe, sons, William Robert Briscoe and Wesley Charles Briscoe. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Joyce Melvin Briscoe. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Charlet Funeral Home, Inc.
Charles Louis "Chuck" Fantacci

A loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend, he died May 27, 2012 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital due to complications from a long illness. He was 64 years old and was a resident of Zachary. He was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and was retired from Entergy with 20 years of service. Visiting will be at Zachary United Methodist Church on Friday, June 8, 2012 from 5pm until 9pm and continues on Saturday, June 9, 2012 from 10am until memorial service at 12pm. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Andrea Fantacci. 3 daughters, Jennifer Fantacci Fogarty and husband, Edward Anthony Fogarty, Victoria Fantacci and Carole Fantacci. Grandsons, Jacob Edward Fogarty and wife, Leeraina; Benjamin Robert Fogarty, Maxwell Socorro Fogarty, Samuel James Fogarty, and Jackson Morgan Fogarty. “We love and miss you PaPaw” Parents, Louis Anthony Fantacci and Reta Wave Nuce Fantacci, sister, M. Kay Hurt, brother, Paul Joseph Fantacci, sister in law, Catherine Johnson Fantacci, nieces, Angela Fantacci,and Tina Marie Fantacci, and nephew; Kevin and wife, Laura Fantacci. He is preceded in death by his brother, Andrew Martin Fantacci. He was an avid golfer.

Robert Wesley Floyd Jr, "Cat", 60, a resident of Tunica, LA and a native of Centreville, MS, died on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Ochsner's Hospital in New Orleans. Visitation will be at Tunica Methodist Church on Hwy. 66 on Friday, June 8, 2012 from 9 a.m. until services at 11 a.m., conducted by Rev. Michael Clark. Burial will be in Wells Cummley Family Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Linda Dixon Floyd; three daughters: Hope Marie Floyd and her husband Joseph Burl Bigham of Baton Rouge; Crystal Tokohopie and her husband Bradley of Watson; Misti Renee Floyd of Tunica; one son Robert Wesley Floyd III and his wife Kayla of Tunica; two sisters, Mary Mae Pender and her husband Sammy of Lafayette, IN; Angela Ladd and her husband David of Mt. Hermon, LA; three brothers: Sidney Floyd and his wife Billy of Oxford, IN; Leslie Floyd and his wife Brenda of Natchez, MS; Mark Floyd and his wife Patricia of Natchez, MS; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Floyd Sr. and Wanna Floyd. Pallbearers will be his son, Robert Floyd III, and Preston "Coon" Johnson, Josh Walton, Brett Degler, Jeff Nicolas, Cody Butler, Dustin Ducote, Brandon Ducote, and Joseph Bigham. Honorary pallbearers are D.J. Nicholas and Phillip McKnight.

She is survived by her parents; her big brother Jonah Paul Wax; great-grandfather George Martin; great-grandmother Mary Frances Snowden; great-grandmother Ann Wax; great-grandfather Glenn Greer; grandparents Roby Paul Wax and Lorrie Snowden Wax; grandparents Eddie Daniel and Marsha Gladrow Daniel; aunt Erin Unglesby and her husband Matt; uncle Evan Wax; uncle Austin Daniel and his wife Kelli; uncle Tyler Daniel; cousin Levi James Unglesby; and a large loving extended family. She was preceded in death by her great-grandmother Joyce Martin; great-grandfather Paul C. Wax Jr; great-grandfather Wayne Snowden; great-grandparents Mr. and Mrs. E.M. Marie Antoinette "Nettie" McCain, a resident of Denham Springs, LA died at the age of 89 on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at her son's home in Clinton, LA. Visitation will be held at Charlet Funeral Home, Zachary, Friday, June 8, 2012 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and will continue Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. service. Burial will be at Greenoaks Cemetery, Baton Rouge, LA. She is survived by three sons, Patrick McCain, Rev. Michael McCain and wife Lynn, and Terry McCain and wife Lynn. Eight grandchildren, Lori Baker, Stacey McCain, Andy McCain, Taleesha Kesecker, Jade McCain, Adam McCain, Austin McCain and Justin McCain, 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, AJ and Lily Cariello, husband Bennie A. McCain, daughter-in-law Mary Lou Williams McCain and 2 sisters. Benjamin Lyons Garris, Capt.

Captain Benjamin Lyons Garris, USAF (Ret.) was born in West Feliciana Parish on Nov. 12, 1922. His education included secondary schools in Louisiana and Georgia. He graduated from Eatonton High School (Georgia) at age 15. He attended Young Harris College in Georgia, Ursinus College in Pennsylvania, and graduated from L.S.U. At age 19, he volunteered for the Air Force. He was trained as a fighter pilot and served in the African and European theatres in WWII. His P-38 was shot down in combat over Italy and he was hospitalized for three years at Valley Forge General Hospital in Pennsylvania. His decorations include the Air Metal, Purple Heart, and Distinguished Service Cross. He married the former Ann Stubbs in 1943 and they had three daughters. His professional life included federal investigator, probation officer, associate warden at Angola, and many years as deputy director of the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement. Hobbies and interests included many years as a columnist for the St. Francisville Democrat, extensive reading, photography, hunting and fishing, gourmet cooking and as a talk show host on old station WLUX in Baton Rouge. He raised cattle and timber, raced greyhounds, wrote a humorous column on the internet after teaching himself the computer, and was a member of the West Feliciana Poker Club. He was passionately interested in politics and law, especially the right to bear arms, and was once a candidate for the Louisiana legislature. He deeply loved his country, was a conservative Republican and a life-long member of the American Legion and the National Rifle Association. Capt. Garris is survived by his wife, Ann, three children, five grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren. His daughters are Taun Mizell, married to William "Bill" Mizell; Leah Wilcox, married to David Wilcox; and Karen Berman, married to Louis Berman. His five grandchildren are Leila Mizell Stagg, married to Lt. Col. Ben Stagg; Holly Mizell Anderson, married to Col. Jon Anderson; Dr. Ben Mizell (Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston); Garris Wilcox married to Kimberly Long of Baton Rouge, and Reed Wilcox married to Jennifer Cox of Dallas, Texas. His great-grandchildren are Heather, Jeffery, Jeremy, Nathaniel and Rebecca Stagg; Mark, Laura Ann, Gracie and Ashley Anderson; Caroline and Ann Garris Wilcox, and Hayes, Eloise and Clifford David Wilcox. Visitation will be held at Charlet Funeral Home in Zachary from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 13, 2012. A private service will be held later at the family cemetery on Sage Hill Road.
Noel Everett Deming "Jerry"

A retired maintenance foreman for Baton Rouge Vo-Tech, he died Friday, June 8, 2012, at his home in Zachary. He was 71, a native of Blue Jay, W. Va., and retired from the U.S. Navy. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Visiting will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 from 6pm until 8pm with a Rosary at 7pm and continues on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Zachary from 9am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10am conducted by Fr. M. Jeffery Bayhi. Burial will be at Port Hudson National Cemetery, Zachary. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Angelina "Lina" Tulagan Deming. While serving at Subic Bay, Jerry married Lina in 1972. Jerry and Lina decided instead of having children, they would bring Lina's mother and some of Lina's siblings to the U.S. to raise here. He is survived by Delia, Nida, Tony, Norma, Eddie, Zeny, Danny, Vilma, Nila and Thelma all of whom are married and raising families of their own. He was preceded in death by his parents, Noel and Francis Deming; and mother-in-law, Illuminada Tulagan. Jerry enjoyed fishing hunting and computers.
