(February 12, 1947 - August 20, 2012)
Norma Ruth Cavendish Cox, Zachary, LA, age 65, went home to be with the Lord on August 20, 2012 at home after an extended illness. She was born in South Charleston, WV on February 12, 1947 to G. Burl and V. Irene Brillhart Cavendish.
The family moved to Summersville, WV in 1952, where Ruth graduated from Nicholas County High School in 1965. Cox were united in marriage on December 22, 1968, at the Summersville Baptist Church. They were among the founding members of New Life Assembly Church in Summersville where they were both very active until they moved from the area.
Although Ruth and her daughters moved to Baton Rouge, LA in 1984, she still maintained a love for the mountains of West Virginia, often talking of going back in the fall to see the colors. Among her fondest memories were the gospel sings at the Summersville Baptist Church on New Year’s Eve, The Mountain State Song Convention at Mt. Nebo, and attending revival services with her dad at some of the small churches in the surrounding area of Summersville. Her love for animals, her generosity to others and her sense of humor is a legacy she leaves to her family.

Soulier, a fiancée Connie King and her daughter Sara. Pallbearers will be; Dennis M. Dearie, Gerald Soulier, Dylan Z. Soulier, Darren Z. Soulier, Patrick Templet and Francis Templet. Warren seemed to be a natural to become a soldier. As a young boy growing up he always kept a keen eye on the outdoors. He developed a love for the wilderness and hunting on his many trips to "paradise" as he'd always say while packing up and heading to Batchelor and Uncle Gerald's Wild Kingdom. He answered his country's call to duty when he enlisted and was deployed as part of the allies' presence in the first Persian Gulf War. If you'd ask him why he'd just look you in the eye and say "you don't know, if you ain't been there"! Those eight words best explain his reasons for the way he lived his life. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, a donation to Warren's favorite support group; that was his way of describing the D.A.V., Disabled American Veteran.
