Lena Aull Brian
(October 25, 1914 - June 3, 2011)
Lena Aull Brian was born Oct. 25, 1914, in Battle, East Feliciana Parish, and passed away Friday, June 3, 2011, at the age of 96 at Lane Memorial Nursing Home in Zachary. She was a homemaker and resident of Pride. She is survived by two daughters and their spouses, Evelyn and Merlin Ponder and Dovie and Claude Needham, of Pride; two sons and their spouses, Vernon and Jeanette Brian, of Slaughter, and Elvis and Rosie Brian, of Pride; 15 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Brian; a grandson, Todd Needham; her parents, Leopold and Gracie Aull; a brother and three sisters. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Pride Ward. Visiting will be at Charlet Funeral Home Inc., Zachary, on Tuesday, June 7, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting will continue Wednesday, June 8, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Pride Ward, on Milldale Road in Pride from 9 a.m. until service time at 10 a.m. Bishop Mark Rotolo will conduct the service and be assisted by Bishop Stephen Cutler. Daniel Konrad Willis
(August 11, 1954 - May 30, 2011)
Services for Daniel Konrad Willis, 56, a resident of St. Francisville, will be at Grace Episcopal Church in St. Francisville on Saturday, June 4. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until a Requiem Eucharist at 11 a.m. A graveside military burial service will follow in the Hamilton Cemetery, Tanglewild Plantation, Laurel Hill. A loving and devoted father, he left behind three children, Kathleen Willis Martens, Leah Willis Orth and Jeremy Willis; two sons-in-law, Leigh Martens and David Orth; a grandson, Edan Martens; and the mother of his children, Susan Martin Willis. He is also survived by two brothers, Thomas M. Willis and wife Peaches, and Hamilton B. Willis and wife Debbie; sister, Victoria W. Eulaerts and husband Philippe; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Allison Leigh Willis; and his parents, Hamilton Barrow Willis and Victoria Horner Willis. He was born Aug. 11, 1954, and died May 30, 2011. A native of West Feliciana Parish, he graduated from Episcopal High School in 1972 and from LSU Law School in 1984, having earned a bachelor of science degree in political science in 1980. He served in the Marine Corps from 1975-78, stationed at Camp Pendleton where he attained the rank of corporal. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, St John's Episcopal Church, the American Bar Association, the West Feliciana Bar Association and the West Feliciana Poker Club. He enjoyed teaching Sunday school for many years at Grace Church. His defense of those less fortunate brought him great satisfaction in life. His charitable nature will not soon be forgotten and will never be replaced.
Dora Lee Wilkinson

Dora Lee "Maw Maw Dora" Wilkinson, a resident of Walker and native of Amite County, Miss., died Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice. Visitation at Charlet Funeral Home Inc., Zachary, Thursday, June 2, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation resumes at the funeral home Friday, June 3, from 9 a.m. until service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Lavern King. Burial in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Baker. She is survived by four daughters, Annette Rome and her husband, Wade, of Central, Mamie James, of Jackson, Diane Adams and her husband, Greg, of Denham Springs, and Bessie Kirkland and her husband, Perry, of Clinton; a son, Lamottis W. Dawson Jr. and his wife, Belinda, of Watson; two brothers, Harry Whittington, of Denham Springs, and Sammie Whittington, of Gloster, Miss.; 15 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Lamottis Dawson Sr.; parents, Sam and Neva Whittington; brother, Curtis "Buck" Whittington; and sister, Retha Floyd. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. She enjoyed crocheting and taking care of others.
Mary Aleen Wixon

A resident of Zachary, she died Saturday, June 11, 2011, at Hospice of Baton Rouge Butterfly Wing. She was 69 and employed with Kleinpeter Physical Therapy as a medical transcriptionist. Visiting at Zachary United Methodist Church on Tuesday, June 14, from 11 a.m. until service at 1 p.m., conducted by Dr. Greg Davis and the Rev. Harold Babin. Interment at Azalea Rest Cemetery, Zachary. She is survived by a daughter, Tammy Anders Smith and husband, Boyce; a son, Pokey Anders and wife, Nicole; five grandchildren, Katie Pilgreen Wofford and husband Glen, Mandy Pilgreen Vollenweider and husband Corey, Tayler Anders Kimble and husband Adam, Ronald Gray Anders and Clint Garret Anders; three great-grandchildren, Ethan Thomas Wofford, Leah Elyse Vollenweider and Emma Claire Wofford; a brother, Tommy Sokolosky-Wixon Jr. and wife Pam; nieces and nephews, Tom Sokolosky-Wixon III, Hannah Sokolosky-Wixon Wheeler and husband Micah, and Marks McMullan Sokolosky-Wixon; and great-niece, Violet May Wheeler. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Myrtle Sokolosky-Wixon; and a grandson, Landon Douglas Maher. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Neal, Joseph W. "Bill" died on February 15, 2012 at the age of 83. He was a resident of St. Francisville, LA Visiting will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., Clinton on Friday February 17, 2012 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Visiting will continue on Saturday at the Charlet funeral home, Inc., in Clinton from 11:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm conducted by Rev. James Foster. He is survived by six daughters, Roseanna Robertson and husband Mike of Bunkie, LA, Sarah Nichols of Tampa, FL, Lynn Odom and husband Bruce of St. Francisville, LA, Jeannie Kimball and husband Kim of St. Francisville, LA, Betty Hardie and husband Cloyd of Jonesville,LA, and Nellie Partin and husband Charlie of St. Francisville, LA, and five sons, Louis Nichols and wife Lorraine of Jennings, LA, Carl Neal and wife Brenda of DeRidder, LA, Wally Neal and wife Yvonne of St. Francisville, LA, Ricky Neal and wife Carolyn of Roanoke, LA and Paul Neal and wife Jan of St. Francisville, LA. He is also survived by twenty three grandchildren and thirty great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Rosie Leet Neal, Son, Wayne Neal, Parents, twelve siblings and one grandchild. Rachel Margaret Jacomine Bulot

Rachel Jacomine Bulot lost a 17-year courageous battle with breast cancer on Wednesday Feb. 15, 2012, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, Baton Rouge. Rachel, a 67-year-old native of Port Sulphur, was the daughter of the late René and Amelia Jacomine. She attended Port Sulphur High School, class of 1962. Rachel is survived by her husband of 49 years, Joseph Charles Bulot; two sons, Michael and fiancee Stefanie and Kevin Bulot and wife Tina; and her grandchildren, Michael, Eliza, Malerie, Mason, Ty, Will, Marenda, Jenna and Colt. She is also survived by two sisters, Doris Thomas and Virginia Kirby. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Ralph Jacomine. Visitation at Charlet Funeral Home Inc., Zachary, on Saturday, Feb. 18, from 11 a.m. until memorial service at 1 p.m., conducted by the Rev. M. Jeffery Bayhi.

Pat Gardner died on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012, at her home in Baker. She was 66 and a native of Centreville, Miss. Visitation at Charlet Funeral Home Inc., Zachary, on Monday, Feb. 20, from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m., conducted by Dr. Reggie Bridges. Entombment in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Baker. She is survived by her husband, Roy G. Gardner; daughter, Melanie Procell, of Jackson; two sons and daughters-in-law, Todd Varner and wife Ardra, and Gary Gardner and wife Christy, all of Baton Rouge; mother, Flora Henderson, of Zachary; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Tammy Santangelo and husband Larry, of Zachary, and Angel Magee, of Toledo, Ohio; a brother and sister-in-law, Leon Clark and wife Cathy, of Central; and five grandchildren, Tiffany Varner, Katelyn Fuselier, Steven Varner, Cheyenne Procell, and Dylan Varner. She was preceded in death by her father, Leon Clark Sr.; and infant daughter, Tonya Varner. She was a graduate of Glen Oaks High School, class of 1963.
