McKlemurry, Dave "Doc" Monroe, 83, current resident of Villa in Jackson died on February 28, 2012 at Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary. Visiting will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., Clinton, on Friday March 2, 2012 from 9:00 am until 10:30 am with a 1:00 pm graveside service at Natchez City Cemetery, Natchez, MS. He is survived by his wife, Mary Dale Price McKlemurry, children, Mary Louise Cole of Fort Worth, TX, Dave Monroe McKlemurry, II of Denham Springs, LA and Kiethen Lee McKlemurry of Fort Worth, TX, One sister, Johnnie Mae Frazier of Booneville, AR, a special niece, Kattie Hutchinson and Fred of Jackson and numerous nieces and nephews and four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Mae Ella Farmer McKlemurry and six siblings.
George Joseph Charlet Sr

George Joseph Charlet Sr., "Buddy" to his friends, "Pappaw" to his family, a resident of Clinton, LA, died on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at the Louisiana War Veterans Home in Jackson, LA, surrounded by his loving wife and children. He was 88 years old. Buddy was born in Jeanerette, LA. He was a graduate of Catholic High school in 1939, where he served as a member of the Drum and Bugle Corp. In WWII, he proudly served in the US Army Air Corps, where he developed a life-long love of flying. In 1947, along with his brother, C.A. Charlet Jr., he founded Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Clinton, LA, which has served his community for three generations. Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Clinton on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 from 5pm until 8pm. At 7, there will be a recitation of the Chaplet of Divine Mercy Rosary service. On Wednesday, March 7, 2012, visitation will be at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Clinton from 12:30pm until a 2pm eulogy, delivered by his grandson, David Patrick Dart, followed by a 3pm Mass of Christian Burial, conducted by Fr. M. Jeffery Bayhi. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery in Clinton. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Betty Jo LeDoux Charlet; one son, Donald J. "Pete" Charlet and his wife Connie Charlet of Zachary; two daughters: Linda Jean Charlet Ulbrich and her husband Ronald J. Ulbrich of Hondo, TX; and Patricia Charlet Dart and her husband Bill Dart of Clinton, LA; daughter-in-law Miriam Joy "Sue" Stelly Charlet; loving former daughter-in-law Dolores "Dodie" Charlet of Zachary, 15 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and countless "adopted children." He was preceded in death by his son, George Joseph Charlet Jr., his sister Myrtle Altazan and his brother and business partner, C.A. Charlet Jr. Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be sons-in-law Bill Dart and Ronald J. Ulbrich. Buddy was a member of the American Legion # 158 of Clinton. He was also the International President of the Popular Rotocraft Association. He was Silliman High School's best athletic supporter, following their athletic teams all over the region. Ruben Rufus DeLee

Ruben Rufus DeLee, 64, died on Friday, March 2, 2012, at his home. He was self-employed with DeLee Family LLC for 40 years. Visiting will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., Zachary, on Monday, March 5, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, March 6, from 9 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Jessie Means. Burial will be in Concord Methodist Church Cemetery off Highway 421, St. Francisville. He is survived by his mother, Emily Dyer DeLee, of West Feliciana; two daughters, Rhonda DeLee Prewitt and husband Paul Alan "Pap" Prewitt and Delilah Loraine DeLee, all of West Feliciana; brother, Daniel W. DeLee Jr. and wife Nancy Ann DeLee, of West Feliciana; three grandchildren, Paul Alan "Al" Prewitt II, Hannah Renee Prewitt and Julia Corrine DeLee; and his aunt, Nannie D. Aldridge, of Baton Rouge. He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel W. DeLee Sr.; brother, Andrew Kernan DeLee; and sister, Nannie Lovie DeLee. Pallbearers will be Paul Alan "Al" Prewitt II, Paul A "Pap" Prewitt, Gerald Paul Blanchard II, Ricky Cummings, Jerry Parker and Hebert Erwin. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Parker Sr. and Wayne Keys.

J.W. Shuff died on March 4, 2012, at his home in Ethel. He was 53 years old. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 8, 2012 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Second Baptist Church, Jackson. Visitation will continue on Friday, March 9, 2012, from 11:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm, conducted by Raymond Taylor and assisted by Sylvester Giroir. Interment will be at John's Family Cemetery. He was survived by his wife of 33 years, Carolyn Easley Shuff, a son and daughter-in-law, Benjamin Shuff & wife Ashley of Ethel, brother-in-law, Charlie Brown, sister-in-law, Tammy Hobgood of Zachary, sister and brother-in-law, Nell Partin & husband Alvin of Jackson, 3 brothers and sisters-in-law, Harvey Dees & wife Sandra of Greensburg, Tommy Shuff & wife Laura of Jackson, Horace Dees & wife Mary of Greensburg, and 4 grandchildren, William Easley, Landon Behr, Daniel Behr, and Dominic Behr. Barbara Black Lawton

Barbara Black Lawton is survived by her beloved husband of sixty years, Bob L. Lawton; her children, Lady and Michael Pierson; Doug and Pam Lawton; John Lawton; and Robin and Jeff Krumholt, and many treasured grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sister Bonnie Beddall, and many special friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Luella Black. She died on Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at her home in Slaughter. She was 82 years old. Visiting will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., Zachary, on Friday, March 9, 2012, from 6 pm until 8 pm. Visitation resumes at Zachary United Methodist Church on Saturday, March 10, 2012, from 10 a.m. until the Celebration of her Life at 11 a.m. at Zachary United Methodist Church, conducted by Dr. Greg Davis and Rev. Terry Glen Norman

It is with much sadness that I announce the passing of my best friend and husband, Terry, born October 13, 1950, and died on March 7, 2012 at the age of 61. He was a resident of Jackson, LA. He was retired from Eastern Louisiana Mental Health Systems with more than 30 years as a Lieutenant in Transportation. He was baptized in Jesus' name on September 3, 1995 and he is now walking on streets of gold with Jesus. He was the church media and sound technician, did puppet ministry, and so much more for the Lord. He was always willing and ready to work for the Lord. Visiting on Saturday, March 10, 2012 from 9am until services at 1pm at the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church conducted by Rev. Dr. Norwood Hoyt and Rev. Joey Hoyt. Burial will be in Jackson Cemetery, Jackson, LA. Terry is survived by his wife of 40 and a half years, Daisy Patterson Norman; one loving son and daughter-in-law, Terry Norman Jr. and Crystal Henry Norman; three precious grandsons, Chandler, Seth, and Chase Norman; one brother, Howard R. Norman; two nephews, Larry and Daniel Norman; a sweet niece-in-law whom he helped raise, Chelsea Maples; and a brother-in-law who he loved as a brother, Glynn Patterson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Eual and Dorothy Allen Norman of North Louisiana and a brother, Larry Eual Norman. Always giving thanks to God for bringing us through every trial we face. Pallbearers will be Glynn Patterson, Barry Patterson, Terry Norman Jr., Dwayne Dyson, Chandler Norman, Russell Anderson, Larry Norman, and Heylin Bond. Special thanks to our Pastor and friend Rev. Norwood "Tiny" Hoyt who stood by us and is still standing by us through everything. Thank you to my sister and brother, Lois P. Wood and Glynn Patterson, and also his brother Raymond and son Terry Norman Jr, who stayed with me at the hospital. Visiting will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary on Saturday, June 30, 2012 from 1pm until service at 3pm conducted by Dr. Reggie Bridges. Burial will be in James Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery, Holden.
