We often wonder when our name shall be called.
Only true angels know when it's time to stand before God.
Sister Willie Mae Johnson was such an angel, who spread goodness to all who knew her.
Sister Johnson, the eldest of six sisters, was born in Homer, Louisiana, on June 17, 1934.
She later moved to Monroe and joined Macedonia Baptist Church, where she gave her life to Christ.
While attending Macedonia, she introduced the church to her four children: John Johnson (Monroe, LA) Jerry Johnson Johnson (Arlington, TX), Arthurine Johnson (New Orleans, LA) and Dorothy Johnson (Shreveport, Louisiana).
Sister Johnson rendered faithful service to Macedonia until she was called upon by her Savior on March 7, 1998 after a long and courageous battle.
Sister Johnson also leaves to mourn five grandchildren, her mother Maggie Hewitt, a host of other relatives and dear friends.

Sister Price's obituary reads as follows: Sister Vever Mae Price was born May 1, 1927 in Oakridge, LA, to the late Field Price and Vivian Applewhite.
She united with Liberty Hill Baptist Church in 1970 under the leadership of the late Rev. W.M. Frazier and later Rev. Herman Carter, Rev. Ernest Davis, at the present Rev. McChesely.
Ms. Price peacefully departed this life on Thursday, March 12, 1998 at the Summit Hospital of Northeast Louisiana in West Monroe, after a long illness.
She will be lovingly remembered by ten (10) children: Vivian Crosby (Samuel) Rose Jackson, Dianne Jones (Arthur) Debra Davis (Wayland), Breda C. Jones (Robert) and Vickie Lewis, all of Monroe, Louisiana; four (4) sons; Benjamin Price (Cora) of Dallas, Texas, Larry Price (Wilma) of Oakland, California, Billy Ray Price, Johnny C. Lewis, Jr., (Bessie) both of Monroe, La.
Jessie Price (Joseph Fean), Lavonne Price, Mitty Price preceded her in death.
One very special step-daughter; Ruthis Ann Randle; one sister: Elma Jones; one brother; Velma Price (Carol) both of Monroe, Louisiana; two half-sisters; Mae Frances Swinson, Minnie Bell Price, both of Monroe, Louisiana; one uncle; Al Gardner of Seattle, Washington, fifty-nine (59) grandchildren, ninety-two (92) great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and sorrowing friends.
