Linda LeNormand Starnes, an office manager for Hearing Health Care, died Saturday of cancer at her home. She was 59. Mrs. Starnes was born in New Orleans and lived in Metairie for the past seven years. She graduated from St. Mary's Dominican High School and attended Southeastern Louisiana University. She was a founding member of Adoptive Couples Together. Survivors include two sons, Robert and Christopher Starnes; two daughters, Ashley and Amy Starnes; and a sister, Carole Childress. A funeral will be held today at 11 a.m. at Bultman Funeral Home, 3338 St. Charles Ave. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Metairie cemetery.

Walda Rotherham Bauer, a retired cosmetologist, died Thursday at Slidell Memorial Hospital. She was 82. Mrs. Bauer was born in New Orleans and lived in Slidell for the past seven years. Survivors include a son, Earl Anthony Bauer Jr.; a daughter, Walda B. Cheadle; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Mark Anthony Prout Jr., an employee of French's Welding, died Wednesday of injuries suffered in a car accident in Boothville. He was 22. Mr. Prout was born in Moss Point, Miss., and lived in Boothville. Survivors include a daughter, Angel Savoie; his father, Mark Anthony Prout Sr.; his mother, Deanna Marshall Prout; two brothers, Marlon and Malik Prout; a sister, Mallenia Prout; his grandfather, Darril Prout Sr.; and his grandmother, Florence Prout. Darrow "Peanut" Bernard Jefferson, a laborer, died Nov. 22 of a gunshot wound at Jackson Avenue and Constance Street. He was 21. Mr. Jefferson was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. Izel Jamal Dee, a student and office manager for The Home Depot in Atlanta, died Nov. 23 of a gunshot wound in New Orleans. He was 22. Mr. Dee was born in Edgard and lived in Atlanta for the past two years. He graduated from West St. John High School in 1998 and attended the University of New Orleans. He was enrolled at the Medical College of Georgia's School of Nursing. Survivors include his parents, David Dee and Joycelyn Borne Thomas; his stepfather, James Thomas; four sisters, Chavon LaBranch, Becenda Lockett, Janisha Lee and Heather Edwards; four brothers, Billy Wilson, David Dee, Joseph Dee III and Devin LaBranch; three stepsisters, Ebony and LeJai Thomas and Lakesha Brimmer; a stepbrother, Darrien Thomas; and his grandparents, Geraldine Borne and Joseph and Mary Dee. Ray Edward Rockhold, a retired special agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, died Monday of complications from a brain tumor at his home. He was 89. Mr. Rockhold was born in Ekalaka, Mont., and lived in Metairie for the past 46 years. He graduated from Columbia College Law School in Washington, D.C. His wife, Gladys Jane Alford Rockhold, survived him for 47 hours. Survivors include two sons, Thomas Richard Rockhold of Plano, Texas, and John Charles Rockhold; two daughters, Jane Charlotte Haydel and Carol Sue Rockhold; a brother, Robert Gordon Rockhold of Ramona, Calif.; a sister, Bernice Dorr of San Jose, Calif.; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
