A homemaker, a resident of Port Allen and native of Oscar, she died at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City. She was 90. Visiting at Hall's Mortuary, Port Allen, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2003. Visiting at Mount Olive Baptist Church, Port Allen, from 5 p.m. until religious service at 8 p.m. Sunday, conducted by the Rev. Leo Nelson. Dismissal at 11 a.m. Monday. Interment in Old Folks Home, Port Allen. Survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Pearl S. and Willie Magee, Delores S. Banks, and Beverly S. and Percy Hawkins, all of Baton Rouge; seven sons and four daughters-in-law, Theopolis "Butsy" and Josie Mae Cage and Alcide, Sr. and Maudria Cage, all of Baton Rouge, Jonas Cage, Hartford, Conn., William Cage, Port Allen, Reese Jr. "R.J." and Ellanoise Spooner, New Roads, Emmett Spooner, I and Cheryl Spooner, Baton Rouge, and Donny Spooner, Port Allen; a sister, Adine Domino, New Roads; 30 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.

ST. JULIEN-MINOR, MICHELLE MARIE
Michelle Marie St. Julien-Minor, of Prairieville, died Tuesday, April 8, 2003. She was the beloved wife of Donald N. Minor Jr.; mother of Donald N. Minor, III; daughter of James A. St. Julien and Selma M. St. Julien; daughter-in-law of Donald N. Minor, Sr. and Shirley Ann Minor; sister of Shelita St. Julien-Rhodies, Cynthia S. Guesnon, Phyllis S. Morrell, Sandra St. Julien-Marani, Diana M. St. Julien, Charlotte S. Tureaud, Cheryl S. Hall, James A. St. Julien, Jr., Gregory A. St. Julien, Sr. and Trina St. Julien; and sister-in-law, of Deidra L. St. Julien, Trudy B. St. Julien, Angela M. Minor-Valera, Robert Guesnon, Jr., Louis Morrell, Sr., David Tureaud, Graig Hall and Joseph Jeanjacques, Jr. She is also survived by 32 nieces and nephews, and 27 great-nieces and great-nephews. Relatives, friends, family and the employees of Merrill Lynch and InterMark Management Corp. are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, April 12, 2003, at Jesuit High School Chapel of the North American Martyrs, 4133 Banks St., New Orleans. Visitation begins at 9 a.m., with recitation of the rosary at 10 a.m., final viewing at 10:30 a.m. and the Mass at 11 a.m. Parking is reserved behind the school. In lieu of flowers, donations in the name of Donald N. Minor, III may be made to Children's Hospital Development Office, 200 Henry Clay Ave., New Orleans, LA 70118, Attention: Kathy. STEPHENS, CORRINE
A homemaker and resident and native of St. Francisville, she died Wednesday, April 9, 2003, at 4:50 a.m. at West Feliciana Parish Hospital.
She was 80.
Visiting at St. Francisville Funeral Home, St. Francisville, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday.
Religious service at St. Andrew Baptist Church at 11 a.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. George Norflin.
Interment in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery.
Survived by three daughters, Viola Henry, Nellie Stephens and Rosa L. Stephens; and five sons, James Jackson, Woodrow Stephens, Larry Pate, George Pate and Willie Stephens.

VANZILE, DOUGLAS LEE
A resident of Denham Springs, he died Monday, April 7, 2003, at Summit Hospital, Baton Rouge.
He was 54 and a native of Corning, N.Y.
Visitation at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, from 8:30 a.m. Saturday until religious service in the chapel at 1 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Noah Hano.
Interment in Sand Hill Cemetery, Ponchatoula.
Survived by his son, Douglas "D.J." Vanzile, Jr., Liberty, Texas; two stepsons, Lawrence Lingerfelt, Ponchatoula, and Louis Lingerfelt, Denham Springs; three step-daughters, Kathy McEwen, Clarkton, N.C., Linda Saddler, Ocala, Fla., and Helen Jensen, Denham Springs; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Arthur Vanzile and Edward Vanzile, both of Corning, and George Vanzile, Nomkis, Fla.; and five sisters, Elizabeth Stanley, Osceola, Pa., Becky Cooper, Elkland, Ga., Joan Kessler, Englewood, Fla., Roseann Knowls, North Fort, Fla., and Ruth Turner, Corning.
Preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Street Vanzile; a granddaughter; a brother, Richard Vanzile; a sister, Mary Turner; and parents, Daniel and Violet Vanzile.

WILSON, THELMA L. "GO-GO"
A very much-loved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she died Sunday, April 6, 2003, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Irene Wilson-Sanders and Robert E. Sanders, II.
Thelma was a member of New Sunlight Baptist Church, where she served as superintendent of Sunday school, director of the Youth Department and a member of the Usher Society.
She was a past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post 505, one of the founding members of CAWSC, a Cub Scout leader of Sewell Eagle District for 40 years and a recipient of the Silver Fawn.
Visitation at New Sunlight Baptist Church, 1777 America St., from 9 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2003, until service at 10 a.m.
Interment in Port Hudson National Cemetery.
Survived by her husband, George Wilson, Jr.; a daughter, Irene and husband, Robert; four grandchildren, George Wilson, IV, Hope Wilson-Wickline and Robyne and Robert E. Sanders, III; two great-grandchildren, George Michael Howard and Jordan Eric Wilson; a goddaughter, Harry J. Pitcher; nieces, Brenda M. Fulton, Doris J. Richard, Janice and husband Rodney Scott, Florence Smith, Jacqueline Moore, Alice Marie Ellois and Linda Brooks; nephews, Tyrone, Michael and James Brooks, Jr.; and a loving and devoted caregiver, Rose Oby.
Preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Irene Collins Lewis; a son, George Wilson, IV; a sister, Florida Lewis Pitcher; a brother, James Lewis; and a nephew, Douglas Pitcher, Jr.
Services entrusted to the care of Desselle Funeral Home, 263 Eddie Robinson Sr. Drive.

WOOLFOLK, LEORA VENTRESS
A retired businesswoman, she died at 8 a.m. Sunday, April 6, 2003, at her residence in Maringouin.
She was 102 and a native of Maringouin.
Visiting at St. Peter United Methodist Church, Maringouin, from 8 a.m. Friday until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Clarence Hillard.
Interment in church cemetery. Survived by a daughter, Mary Louise Davis; four grandchildren, Gwendolyn Davis Jefferson, Frederick Davis, Leuna Davis and Karena Davis; six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Hall's Mortuary, Port Allen, in charge of arrangements.

MORGAN, KENNY
A lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, he died Monday, Feb. 2, 2004, at Earl K. Long Medical Center.
He was 22.
Visiting at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church Hall, 11140 La. 77, Maringouin, from 8 a.m. Friday, Feb. 6, 2004, until religious service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Clyde McNell.
Interment in Sunlight Baptist Church Cemetery, Blanks.
Survived by his mother, Nora Morgan; father, John Buckner; seven sisters, Anna, Latoya, Debra, Iris, Connie, Valerie and Denise; five brothers, Darryl, Calvin, Joseph, Donald and John, Jr.; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Matthew William Deen
Matthew William Deen, age 23, of Central, passed away Friday, January 11, 2013, after a brief illness at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital, surrounded by his Family and Friends. Matt is survived by his father James C. "Jim" Deen, Sr. and his mother Karen Goodwin Deen; his brother James C. Deen, Jr and his sister Chase Deen Landry. He is the grandson of Frank and Mary Goodwin of Boyce and Carl Deen of Baton Rouge. Matt has 9 cousins, 5 aunts and 4 uncles. He will be dearly missed by his long-time companion Jordan Patterson, whom he loved deeply and many, many close friends. Pallbearers will be his brother: James Deen; his cousins: Kaleb Mayes, Ryan Goodwin, Eric Norsworthy, William and Colton Nalezinek and his best lifetime friends Miles Kaiser and Brent Michael Campbell. Matt was preceded in death by his grandmother, Thelma Deen, his brother, Brady Deen and his uncle, Bill Goodwin. Matt was a 2008 graduate of Central High School, he worked alongside his father and brother in their family business, Gutter Plus, before recently becoming employed by SGS at Shell Chemical in Geismer. Visitation will be held at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church in Baton Rouge, from 4 until 8:30 p.m. Monday, January 14 with a Rosary at 5:00. Additional visitation will be Tuesday, January 15 from 10 until 11:00a.m. with services to follow at St. Louis King of France at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Green Oaks Memorial Park and Cemetery in Baton Rouge. Matthew had a contagious smile that made friends of strangers. His love of life brought laughter and joy to his family and friends. Matthew's presence will be fondly remembered and deeply missed and his memory will bring us Joy forever.

Margo C. Kiefer
Beloved by friends and family, Margo C. Kiefer passed away on January 10, 2013.
She was the youngest of six children and a student at Mount Carmel Academy in New Orleans, LA.
She loved the New Orleans Saints and Hornets, and she felt at home in the Superdome.
She possessed a passion for travel, visiting DisneyWorld as many times as she could, snorkeling in the Bahamas, eating pizza in Italy, and hiking and camping the mountains of Colorado.
She also loved music, dancing, cooking, and trying as many restaurants in New Orleans as possible.
Margo is survived by her parents, Nat and Linda Kiefer; sisters, Megan, Chelsea, and Mallory Kiefer; brothers, Nat and Colby Kiefer; nephew, Preston Kiefer; paternal grandmother, Carol Kiefer; maternal grandparents, Edgar and Beverly Chauffe; her adored dog, Callie Kiefer; as well as many uncles, aunts, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her grandfather, Senator Nat Kiefer.
Funeral services will be private.

Albert William "Poppa" Ambrose
A resident of Plaquemine, he passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Our Lady Of The Lake Medical Center.
He was 56.
Visiting at Pugh's Mortuary, 58233 Plaquemine Street on Friday, Jan. 18, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Visitation resumes Saturday Jan. 19, at Hurst United Methodist Church, 58225 Court Street, Plaquemine, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m. conducted by Rev. Thomas Wesley.
Interment in Grace Memorial Park.
He is survived by three sisters, Emelda A. Jefferson (William), Mary A. Jackson (Lawrence) and Ronanita Elwood of Denver, Colorado; one aunt, Geneva Mills of Denver, Colorado, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Celeste Thomas and Emile Ambrose.
