CHAVERS, PAUL RICHARDSON
Paul loved to hunt and he also had a passion for fishing. He and Erline spent endless hours creating treasured memories at their camp on False River. Guiding the boat for water-skiers, motoring out to fish on the flats, casting out for bass or catfish from the pier, the never-ending untangling of lines and baiting of hooks for his children, and later, his grandchildren, frying freshly cleaned fish in bubbling oil in the cast iron kettle, parties at Pop's … these, and so much more. Friends and relatives were always welcome at the camp, the long days layering into nights. These were easy-going, unhurried times, simple and uncomplicated, like Paul Chavers himself. He taught those who knew and loved him how to shape a life with meaning. He will be missed.
