A beloved mother and daughter and a homemaker, she died Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002, in Baton Rouge. She was 41, a resident of Slaughter and a native of Tuscaloosa, Ala. Visiting was at Inner-Faith Christian Assembly, La. 19 at Rush Avenue, Slaughter, (three miles north of Zachary), from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday. Survived by her estranged husband, Joseph R. Rogers; parents, Franklin D. and Mary Ann Corbell; a daughter, Christy M. Miller; a son, Jason C. Miller; three sisters, Diane Webb and husband, Mark, Karen R. Mayeux and husband, Jimmy, and Tonya Corbell; a brother, Joseph Brandon Patin Corbell; two grandchildren, Kierstyn Aliyah and Raegan Blair; nieces, Hailey Mayeux and Natashia and Raven Webb; nephews, Marcus Webb, Tres' Mayeux and Broc Corbell; and numerous other nieces, nephews, friends and family; and lifetime friend, Greg Foster. Retired owner of Jack Sabin's Restaurant and a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, she died Monday, Nov. 25, 2002, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 91. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., from 11 a.m. Friday until religious service at 1 p.m. Entombment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory Mausoleum. Survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and William Terrell; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Barbara Sabin; five grandchildren, Greg Sample, David Lee Sample, Matthew Sabin, Aimee Sabin and John Sabin; three great-grandchildren, Lindsey and Hayden Sample and Trent Sabin; and a sister, Mary Lydia Greenwell. Preceded in death by her husband, Jack Sabin. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and son-in-law. She and her husband, Jack Sabin, moved to Baton Rouge in 1946 and established The Goal Post in Tigertown and later established Jack Sabin's Restaurant on Airline Highway. A retired employee of Delta Southern, formerly Delta Tank, and a resident of Pride, he died Monday, Nov. 25, 2002, at Summit Hospital. He was 81 and a native of Baton Rouge. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Visiting was at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, with Masonic service at 7 p.m. Visiting at the funeral home chapel from 11 a.m. until religious service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. Survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Karen Schutzman; a granddaughter, Jackie Schutzman; a good friend, Ernestine Harvey; and numerous nieces and nephews. TALLEY, TALMADGE "JACK"
A retired paper mill operator and foreman, he died at 7:45 a.m. Monday, Nov. 25, 2002, at his residence in Zachary. He was 79 and a native of Isabel. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served as a sergeant in World War II and the Korean War. Visitation at Charlet Funeral Home Inc., Zachary, from 8:30 a.m. until religious service at 10 a.m. Wednesday, with eulogy by his son, Anthony Talley. Interment in Port Hudson National Cemetery. Survived by his wife of 55 years, Gilda G.
