Eva Marie Plaisance Pertuit, a homemaker, died Nov. 15 of lymphoma at Meadowcrest Hospital. She was 74. Mrs. Pertuit was a lifelong resident of Harvey. She was a former employee of Continental Can Co. Survivors include her husband, Norman Pertuit Sr.; three sons, Norman Pertuit Jr. of Actworth, Ga., Patrick Pertuit of Valparaiso, Fla., and Steven Pertuit of Pineville; two daughters, Janice P. Evans of Los Angeles and Judy P. LaCoste; two brothers, Jack and Frank Serpas; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held today at 3 p.m. at First Pentecostal Church, 3200 Ames Blvd., Marrero. Burial will be private. Professional Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

May Folse Baudoin, a homemaker, died Sunday at St. Ann General Hospital in Raceland. She was 88 and a lifelong resident of Raceland. Mrs. Baudoin was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. A Mass will be said today at 11 a.m. at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church, Church Street, Mathews. Belva Aydell Vernoy, a retired registered nurse, died Saturday at The Sunshine House. She was 96. Ms. Vernoy was born in French Settlement and lived in Baton Rouge for many years. She was a graduate of Hotel Dieu School of Nursing. She was a former employee of Hotel Dieu, Baton Rouge General Hospital and the Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital. She served with the American Red Cross during World War II. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Dominic and St. Rita Catholic churches. She served as a volunteer at Mercy Hospital. Survivors include a daughter, Mary M. Vernoy. A Mass will be said Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Garden of Memories.

Kendail Allen Jarrow Jr., an infant, died Nov. 17 of bronchiopulmonary dysplasia at Ochsner Foundation Hospital. He was 4 months old. Kendail lived in Reserve. Survivors include his mother, Lakeria Francis; his father, Kendail Jarrow Sr.; his grandparents, Wendall Lestrick Sr., Melissa Parquet, Doretha Weston and Allen Washington; and his step-grandparents, Mildred Lestrick and Lizzie Washington. Kevin "Hollywood" V. Lagarde, a welder, died of injuries suffered from a fall at Bollinger Gulf Repairs. He was 44. Mr. Lagarde was born in New Orleans and lived in Harvey. He was a former employee of Prager Inc. and Avondale Shipyard. He was a retired sergeant of the Army Reserve and a veteran of Desert Storm. Survivors include his wife, Pamela Mass Lagarde; a son, Michael Estes Lovick Jr.; two daughters, Myoshi Terrance and LaToya D. Lagarde; his father, Armand F. Lagarde Sr.; five brothers, Lloyd, Brian, Anthony, Ronald and Armand Lagarde Jr.; two sisters, Julie Young and Monique Ellizey; and five grandchildren. She was a former member of the Republican Women's Club in Lacombe and a volunteer in the cafeteria at St. Catherine of Siena School in Metairie. Survivors include two sons, Eugene C. and Leonard P. Stephanie Durand Landry, a homemaker and former religious teacher, died Sunday at Touro Infirmary. She was 85. Mrs. Landry was born in St. Martinville and lived in New Iberia. She graduated from Mercy Academy High School in St. Martinville and attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana. She was Queen of the Camellia Pageant in 1936. She taught in the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine program at her church for 35 years. She was a former president of the mothers clubs of Mount Carmel and other Catholic high schools. She received the New Iberia Distinguished Citizen Award in 1999. She was a member of the Junior Fortnightly Club and the Law League of Louisiana. Survivors include two sons, Matthew and Jacob Durand Landry, both of New Orleans; five daughters, Stephanie Landry Barineau of Kingwood, Texas, Antoinette Landry Coopersmith of Shawnee Mission, Kan., Mary Frances Landry of Baton Rouge, Courtney Landry Saucier of Destrehan and Louisan Landry Frey of Kingwood; several brothers and sisters; 19 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
