Mr. Dufour was born in New Orleans and lived in Gretna for the past 10 years. He was a veteran of the Marine Corps. Survivors include two sons, Kevin and Todd Dufour; two brothers, William and Walter Dufour Jr.; and two grandchildren. A funeral will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will be in St. Patrick cemetery No. 3.

Bertrand Scalise Sr., a retired supervisor with the New Orleans Streets Department, died of cancer Friday at Doctor's Hospital of Jefferson. He was 70. Mr. Scalise was born in New Orleans and lived in Metairie for the past 25 years. Survivors include three sons, Bertrand Scalise Jr. and Kenneth and Anthony Scalise Sr.; and four grandchildren. A Mass will be said Monday at 11:30 a.m. at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 1025 Napoleon Ave. Visitation will begin Monday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Lake Lawn Park cemetery. Julia Jencva Oulliber Klopf, a homemaker, died Thursday at Memorial Medical Center. She was 82. Mrs. Klopf was born in Slidell and was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. She was a graduate of Soulé Business College and was a former bookkeeper at I.A. Kammer. She was a parishioner of St. Dominic Catholic Church. Survivors include a son, Charles J. Klopf Jr.; two daughters, Anne Klopf Garner and Eugenie Klopf Cronan; a sister, Mary Mae Kerlec; and five grandchildren. Nettie Taylor Solomon, a homemaker, died Monday of heart failure at Meadowcrest Hospital. She was 64. Mrs. Solomon was born in New Orleans and lived in Gretna. She was a member of St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Wilbert A. Solomon Sr.; two sons, Allen and Wilbert Solomon Jr.; three daughters Ellen V. Major, Sibyl Well and Lucinda Beverly; two sisters, Willie Mae Bell and Helen Sennet; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Gerald Michael "Mike" Heacock, a retired manager for Chrysler Financial Services, died Thursday of cancer at his home. He was 63. Mr. Heacock was born in Princeton, Ind., and lived in the New Orleans area for 28 years. He attended Owensboro High School and the University of Kentucky. Survivors include his father, Gerald Heacock; his mother, Helen France Heacock; and a brother, Harold Rex Heacock, all of Tuscaloosa, Ala. A funeral will be held today at 2 p.m. at L.A. Alfred Watts, a retired letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, died Thursday of heart failure at Lakeland Medical Center. He was 71. Mr. Watts was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a parishioner of St. Gabriel Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Louise Ruau Watts; three sons, Roy Xavier, Glenn Lee and Arnold Joseph Watts; three daughters, Gilda Watts Border, Judith Watts and Rachel Watts Clark; two brothers, Wilbert and Lucius Watts Jr.; a sister, Audrey Watts Newsby; and nine grandchildren. Ms. Rapp was born in Gretna and lived in Las Vegas for 25 years before moving back to Gretna. Survivors include a brother, Philip Paul Rapp; a sister, Gloria R. Byrne; and a half-sister, Muriel Betty Rapp. A service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Westside Funeral Home, 5101 West Bank Expressway, Marrero.
