Randolph "Randy" Netter, a retired surgical aide, died Wednesday of a heart attack at Memorial Medical Center. He was 60. Mr. Netter was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. He graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. He had worked at University Hospital. He was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church. He also was a member of the Zulu Social Aid and Pleasure Club, where he sang in the ensemble. Survivors include his wife, Beverly T. Netter; four brothers, Percy, Howard, Oliver and Lonnie Netter; and two sisters, Gladys Patin of Baton Rouge and Merith Rodrigues. A funeral will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 2200 Dumaine St. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will be in St. Louis cemetery No. 3. D.W. P.J. Robinson Sr., a retired truck driver, died Monday of respiratory failure at Lakeland Medical Center. He was 68. Mr. Robinson was born in Canton, Miss., and lived in New Orleans for the past 50 years. He attended Farm Haven High School. He worked for Jones Trucking Co. He was a member of Beulahland Baptist Church and its usher board. He was an Army veteran. Survivors include four sons, Charles, Jessie and Cornelius Robinson and P.J. Robinson Jr.; two daughters, Carlene Robinson and Bobbie L. Thomas; a stepson, Bernard Robinson; a stepdaughter, Barbara Robinson of California; two sisters, Pearline Robinson and Bennie Mae Johnson; 15 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. A funeral will be held today at 7 p.m. at Pilgrim Baptist Church, 2241 S. Liberty St. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Burial will be in Pleasant Gift Baptist Church cemetery in Canton. Raymond Harold Julien, a retired machine operator at Ormet Corp. in Burnside, died Friday at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge. He was 75. Mr. Julien was born in Modeste and lived in Donaldsonville for more than 50 years. He was an Army veteran and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He had served for 24 years as an Ascension Parish police juror, was an auxiliary deputy sheriff in Ascension Parish and was a member of the Knights of Peter Claver Council No. 37 and Hiram Masonic Lodge No. 12. Survivors include his wife, Theresa M. Mims Julien; two stepsons, Ronnie Hawkins and Ruben Mims, both of Baton Rouge; two brothers, Mack Julien Jr. of New Orleans and Oscar Julien of San Diego; three sisters, Dolores Carter and Gertrude Gaudin, both of New Orleans, and Janice Schonberg; and seven grandchildren. A Mass will be said Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Donaldsonville. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Ascension of Our Lord Mausoleum. John F. Barbara, a retired foreman with International Matex Tank Terminal, died Wednesday at his home. He was 93. Mr. Barbara was born in Westwego and was a lifelong resident of St. Rose. Louise Adams Roddy, a homemaker and retired teacher, died Sunday at Memorial Medical Center. She was 99. Mrs. Roddy was born in Alexandria and lived in New Orleans for the past 72 years. She attended Newcomb College, graduated from the University of Illinois and attended graduate school at the University of Wisconsin. She taught English for several years in Boyce and Alexandria. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, where she was a former president of the Women of the Church and a member of the Tuesday Afternoon Bible Class. She also was a member of the National Society Colonial Dames of America and Alpha Omicron Pi sorority, a life member of the Ruth McEnery Stuart Clan and Le Petit Salon and corresponding secretary, first vice president and life member of the Orleans Club. Survivors include two sons, Edward and James Charles Roddy; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. A funeral will be held today at 2 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1329 Jackson Ave. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Metairie cemetery.
