Lillian Edgerson Arceneaux, a retired domestic worker, died Thursday at her home. She was 100. Mrs. Arceneaux was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. She received the St. Louis Medallion from the Archdiocese of New Orleans. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Peter Claver Court No. 47 and the Eucharistic Ministry League/Sodality. Survivors include a son, Joseph J. Arceneaux Sr.; a daughter, Josephine Arceneaux Glass; a sister, Beatrice Edgerson Carter; 24 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; 38 great-great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-great-grandchildren. A Mass will be said Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 5018 Constance St. Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. Burial will be in St. Vincent de Paul cemetery. August D. Cuevas, a retired Kenner police officer, died Tuesday at East Jefferson General Hospital. He was 76. Mr. Cuevas was born in New Orleans and lived in Metairie for the past 44 years. He was a former employee of Jackson Brewery. He was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Metry Post 6640. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War. He received the EATO Ribbon, American Area, World War II Victory Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal and European Occupation Medal. Survivors include his wife, Josephine L. Cuevas; a son, Daniel F. Cuevas of Slidell; a daughter, Patricia C. Smith of Palm Harbor, Fla.; two brothers, Milton A. and Louis Cuevas; and five grandchildren. A Mass will be said today at 1 p.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, 4920 Loveland St., Metairie. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. Louis cemetery No. 3. Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Patricia Elaine Elam, a homemaker, died Sunday of congestive heart failure at her home. She was 58. Ms. Elam was born in Petaluma, Calif., and lived in Metairie for 20 years and Harahan for six months. She attended Petaluma High School. Survivors include two sons, Brian Elam of Harahan and Steven Elam of Metairie, and a grandchild. A funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at L.A. Matthew Williams, a retired laborer and seaman, died Saturday of congestive heart failure at Memorial Medical Center. He was 67. Mr. Williams was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. He was an Army veteran. Survivors include a son, Reginald Sparks; a daughter, Debra Williams; a brother, Joseph Williams Jr.; seven sisters, Mary Miles, Madeline Clements, Dorothy W. Antoine, Elvera Felton, Daisy Powell, Eveling Chess and Gloria Stevenson; and three grandchildren. Doris B. Harvey, a retired supervisor for the Provincial Hotel, died Thursday of congestive heart failure at Charity Hospital. She was 59. Ms. Harvey was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. She graduated from Joseph S. Clark High School. She was a former member of Old Zion Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Pamela Collins, and three sisters, Theresa Robertson, Rosetta Adams and Evola Green. Betty Lopez Hebert, a homemaker, died Thursday of complications from surgery at West Jefferson Medical Center. She was 68. Mrs. Hebert was born in Napoleonville and lived in Westwego for the past 31 years. Survivors include her husband, Randall Hebert; three sons, Bobby, Michael and Mark Causey; a daughter, Robin Sarrio; three sisters, Marie Boudreaux, Rosalie Savoie and Mattie Breaux; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The Rev. Eddie Brown Sr., pastor of Second Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, died Sunday at his home. He was 85. Pastor Brown was born in Lake Providence and lived in New Orleans for the past 51 years. He was a member of the National Missionary Baptist Association. Survivors include four sons, Eddie Brown Jr., Jimmy Brown, the Rev. Joe Brown and Jude Watson; two daughters, Gloria Simmons and Judith Watson; two stepsons, Frank and the Rev. Irvin Lewis; a stepdaughter, Pauline Pierre; three brothers, Junius and Leroy Brown of Chicago and Lewis Brown of Los Angeles; three sisters, Clara Camble and Jesse Goodwin of Chicago and Martha Bailey of Los Angeles; 46 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. A wake will be held today from 4 to 8 p.m. A funeral will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Second Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 3606 Dauphine St. Burial will be in Providence Memorial Park. Francine Ann Cicero, a risk manager at East Jefferson General Hospital, died Wednesday of respiratory failure at East Jefferson General Hospital. She was 58. Ms. Cicero was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. She graduated from Ursuline Academy, where she received the Courtesy, Loyalty and Courage Award. She received a degree in medical technology from Loyola University, a master's degree in hospital administration from St. Francis College, a health care risk management certificate from the University of Health Sciences of Chicago Medical School and a certificate in management from AMA Extension Institute at Tulane University. She was a past employee of West Jefferson Medical Center and Tulane Medical School, where she worked as a staff medical technologist. She was a member of Beta Epsilon Upsilon Honorary Medical Technology Society, Alpha Delta Theta, Medical Technology Sorority, Theta Phi Alpha, Society of Patient Representatives and the Society of Clinical Pathologists. She was a parishioner of St. Dominic's Catholic Church. Survivors include her mother, Marguerite Greco Cicero, and two sisters, Maureen Cicero Dicharry and RoseLynn Cicero Burnett of Rochester, N.Y. A Mass will be said today at 3 p.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. Visitation will begin at noon. Burial will be in Metairie cemetery.

Wilborn W. "Bill" Reaves Jr., a retired engineer for Exxon, died Wednesday of cancer at his home. He was 78. Mr. Reaves was born in Eufaula, Ala., and lived in Luling for the past 45 years. He received a degree in civil engineering from Auburn University. He served as a St. Charles Parish Planning and Zoning commissioner and as an adviser for the St. Charles Parish Council on Aging. He served in World War II. He was an elder and member of First Union Presbyterian Church in Luling. Survivors include his wife, Ruby Hatfield Reaves; a son, William Thomas Reaves; a daughter, Catherine Reaves Moore; two sisters, Barbara R. Morrison and Sara Vaughn; and a grandchild. A funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at First Union Presbyterian Church in Luling. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery in Eufaula. Margarete Berg Cholmato, a retired clothing factory seamstress, died Friday at Chalmette Medical Center. She was 82. Mrs. Cholmato was born in Germany, lived in Pennsylvania and lived in Metairie for the past three years. Survivors include two sons, Helmut Cholmato and Karl Heinz Mueller; a daughter, Ursula Demetriou; and seven grandchildren. A private service was held Saturday. James Kelly Armand Sr., a retired postal employee and owner of Kelly's Income Tax Service, died Saturday at his home. He was 78. Mr. Armand was a lifelong resident of Marrero. He graduated from Xavier Preparatory School and attended Xavier University. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Gladys Johnson Armand; three daughters, Gwynn A. Jackson, Lynn A. Major and Angela A.
