Joseph H. Freeland, a self-employed electronics technician and owner of Freeland Products Inc. in Covington, died Tuesday of heart failure at his home. He was 53. Mr. Freeland was born in New Orleans and lived in Slidell for 24 years and in Folsom for the past three years. He was a member of the Covington Street Ride Association and was a ham radio operator. He was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. Survivors include two sons, Joel H. and Sean J. Freeland, both of Slidell; two daughters, Allison F. Nata and Stephany F. Ezell, both of Slidell; a brother, William T. Freeland III of Covington; a sister, Hollin Ruth Freeland Vicedomini of Covington; and five grandchildren. A funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. West, Slidell. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Forest Lawn cemetery.
HAUN, WARREN JOSEPH

Warren Joseph Haun, a retired caster at the American Standard vitreous china plant, died Tuesday at Northshore Living Center in Slidell. He was 80. Mr. Haun was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. After retirement, he became the sole proprietor of Fast Repairs Inc. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He was a former coach and booster club leader at the New Orleans Recreation Department's Kerry Curley playground. He was a member of the Jolly Jacks Social Club. Survivors include his wife, Annette Froeba Haun; three sons, Warren J. Haun Jr. and Daniel E. and Mark A. Haun; two daughters, Cynthia Haun Pere and Donna Haun Jones; a sister, Elsie H. Hooks; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A Mass will be said today at 1:30 p.m. at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Vincent de Paul cemetery No. 2.
SHARP, DORIS LAVADA CHRISTENBURY

Doris Lavada Christenbury Sharp, an employee of St. Tammany Parish, died Wednesday of undetermined causes at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. She was 62. Mrs. Sharp was born in North Carolina and lived in Bush for 43 years. She graduated from Franklinton High School. She worked in St. Tammany Parish government in several capacities over the years. She was past secretary/treasurer of the Ladies Auxiliary of Sharp's Chapel Church of God, a former Sunday school teacher and chairwoman of numerous committees. Survivors include her husband, Delton "Red" Sharp; a son, James Wayne "Buford" Sharp; a daughter, Janice Eileen Sharp; her mother, Thelma Parker; her father, Frank Christenbury; her stepfather, James Floyd Watson; two sisters, Margie Christenbury and Helen Watson; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held Sunday at noon at Bagnell and Son Funeral Home, 75212 Louisiana 437, Covington. Visitation will be today from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Burial will be in Sharp's Chapel Church of God cemetery, 22191 Sharp Chapel Road, Covington.

Emma Rollins Alexis, a homemaker, died Oct. 31 of a stroke at Lutheran Home of New Orleans. She was 78. Mrs. Alexis was born in Destrehan and lived in New Orleans for the past 68 years. She was a member of First Free Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a choir member. Survivors include a brother, Clarence Rollins. A funeral will be held today at 10 a.m. at First Free Missionary Baptist Church, 919 Adams St. Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. Burial will be in Lake Lawn Park.

Althea Williams Colbert, a retired clerk in the real estate department at City Hall, died Saturday of cancer at Tulane Medical Center. She was 75. Ms. Colbert was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. Survivors include four sons, Randy Carl Hamilton Sr., Terry and Lawrence Williams, and Walter Colbert Jr.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Edrick Parks, a retired foreman with Baroid Industries, died Tuesday at West Jefferson Medical Center. He was 92. Mr. Parks was born in Larose and lived in Westwego for the past 80 years. Survivors include a stepson, Donald Roubion; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Calvin Raymond Gillard, a retired brick mason, died Sunday of lung cancer at Kindred Hospital of South Florida in Hollywood, Fla. He was 67. Mr. Gillard was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. Keishayla Q. Reed, a student in the One Stop Center program, died Sunday at Charity Hospital of a gunshot wound. She was 23. Miss Reed was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. She attended Booker T. Washington High School. She had worked at Church's Fried Chicken, Daiquiri Island and Wendy's. Survivors include her father, Clyde M.
