Anna Mae Wingerter, a retired accountant for M.G. Maher Import/Export Co., died Friday at her home. She was 79. Ms. Wingerter was born in New Orleans and lived in Metairie for the past 46 years. She was a member of the American Business Women's Association. Survivors include two sisters, Miriam Wingerter and Dorothy Schaper of Fredericksburg, Texas. A Mass will be said today at 11 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 105 Bonnabel Blvd., Metairie. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie. Burial will be in Lake Lawn Park.

Sophie Louis "Pick" Ybarzabal, a former stocker for K&B; warehouse, died Saturday at Metropolitan Hospice. She was 75. Miss Ybarzabal was born in Jefferson Parish and was a lifelong resident of Westwego. Survivors include a daughter, Gayle Junot; two sisters, Florance Frickey Schouest and Carrol Castile; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101West Bank Expressway, Marrero, followed by a graveside service at Westlawn Memorial Park in Gretna. Visitation will be today at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lucious Craig Sr., an aluminum worker at Kaiser Aluminum Co., died Oct. 29 at Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was 88. Mr. Craig was born in Thompson, Ala., and was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. He was a member of Central Missionary Baptist Church, where he was president of the Chancel Choir. He was an Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Gracie Craig; four sons, Lionel, Lanis and Calvin Craig and Lucious Craig Jr.; two daughters, Nathalie and Carolyn Craig; 22 grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren. A funeral was held Monday at Central Missionary Baptist Church, 1438 Alabo St. Dismissal will be today at 10 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park. Tilly's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ri'chard Myles Raby, a homemaker, died Oct. 28 of cancer at Touro Infirmary. She was 41. Mrs. Raby was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. She graduated from Walter L. Cohen High School and attended Cameron College. Survivors include her husband, Leroy Raby; three sons, Kendall Myles, Dedrick Raby and Kendrick Myles Raby; a daughter, Janitra Myles; her mother, Geraldine C. Dianne Horowitz Shnaider, a homemaker, died Sunday at her home. She was 78. Mrs. Shnaider was born in Paterson, N.J., and lived in New Orleans for 35 years and Metairie for the past 19 years. She graduated from Eleanor McMain High School and attended Louisiana State University. She was a past president of the local B'nai B'rith and a member of the National Council of Jewish Women and the Temple Sinai Sisterhood. Survivors include her husband, Solomon "Sol" Shnaider; a son, Irving Shnaider; a daughter, Veron Shnaider Bernstein; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. A graveside service will be held today at 1 p.m. at Hebrew Rest cemetery III, 2100 Pelopidas St. Bultman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Cornelius Bannister Jr., a self-employed laborer, died Wednesday of pneumonia at Chalmette Medical Center. He was 84. Mr. Bannister was born in New Orleans and lived in Violet. He was a member of Greater Round Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include eight sons, Robert Bannister, Cornelius Bannister III and Cornelius, Charles, Melvin, Larry, Ronlee and Donaldray Borne; five daughters, Denise Borne, Lettrice Bannister of New York, and Jeanette, Daisy Mae and Edna Mae Bannister; a sister, Daisy Bannister Richards; 26 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Melanson was born in Lockport and lived in Marrero for the past 35 years. Survivors include three sons, Albert, Douglas and Peter Melanson; a daughter, Delores Melanson; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
