Charles Henry Devlin Jr., a retired machinist for the American Can Co., died Tuesday at Chalmette Medical Center. He was 87. Mr. Devlin was born in New Orleans and lived in Chalmette for the past 22 years. He was a member of the International Association of Machinists Local 37. Survivors include a daughter, Lynn Devlin Schneida; a sister, Cecilia Devlin; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held today at 1 p.m. at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St. in Chalmette. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.

Darren Philip Juneau, a medical technician, died Wednesday of undetermined causes in New Orleans. He was 34. Mr. Juneau was born in New Orleans and lived in Lacombe for the past 19 years. He was a 1985 graduate of Slidell High School. He was a parishioner of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Lacombe. Survivors include a son, Landon Philip Juneau; a daughter, Megan Ann Juneau of Metairie; his parents, Donald James and Rosemary Terrell Juneau; four brothers, Donald V. Juneau of Mobile, Chris J. Juneau of Arabi, and Mark T. and Timmy L. Juneau; and a sister, Donna J. Windmann of Mesquite, Texas. A funeral will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. West, Slidell. Visitation will begin at noon. Burial will be in Forest Lawn cemetery.

Kenneth "Ken" Edward Paisant, a retired sales and promotion manager for Jax Beer, died Oct. 1 in Dallas. He was 78. Mr. Paisant was born in New Orleans and lived in Dallas. He graduated from Jesuit High School and Tulane University. He was a pilot in the Navy. He was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity at Tulane. Survivors include two sons, Scott Paisant of Denver and Miles Paisant of Mobile; two daughters, Jane Hunter and Nancy Heinz; and eight grandchildren. A memorial service was held Oct. 5 in Dallas. Laura E. Bailey Brown, a homemaker, died Sunday of cancer at her home. She was 66. Ms. Brown was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. Survivors include a son, Lawrence M. Brown; four daughters, Gail M. Linzsey , Patricia Lewis, Janice M. Brown and Jacqueline B. Bachus ; three brothers, Alex and Percy Bailey and Thomas C. Claude Joseph Hampton, a retired machine operator for Johns Mansville Corp., died Tuesday at his home. He was 82. Mr. Hampton was born in Thibodaux and lived in Algiers for the past 56 years. He was a deacon at Mount Sinai Baptist Church and an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Viola Williams Hampton; six sons, Joseph Butler of San Antonio, Clifton, Earl and Ryan Black, Damon Landry and Joseph Davis; five daughters, Elnora LeJohns, Mary Ann Smith, Michelle B. Banks, Tanya Black and Ar'tiana Black; three brothers, Frederick and Lawrence Hampton and Alfred Hampton Sr.; a sister, Charlotte H. Walker; and two grandchildren. Pastor Frye was born in Shrewsbury and lived in Marrero for 21 years before moving to Algiers for the past five years. He was an ordained minister and a former police officer for the Westwego Police Department. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Aubranelle Goirl Frye; three sons, Michael and Jeremy Frye and Leon Frye Jr.; five daughters, Sharon Ashley Frye, Elaine Kelly, Leona and Kimberly L.
