Susan Elaine Smith, a dental hygienist, died Friday of liver cancer at Northshore Regional Medical Center. She was 38. Ms. Smith was born in Houston and lived in Slidell for the past 28 years. She graduated from Slidell High School. Survivors include her mother, Sadie Hankins McClure; two brothers, Arthur F. Norris III of Houston and Calvin L. Coats; and two sisters, Tracy N. Norris of Houston and Patricia D. Hankins. A memorial service will be held today at 4 p.m. at Honaker Funeral Home, 1751 Gause Blvd. West, Slidell. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m.

Kenzo Kyshecia "Keno" Reaux, a cook at the Pontchartrain Hotel, died Nov. 20 of complications from obesity at Meadowcrest Hospital. She was 28. Miss Reaux was born in New Orleans and was a lifelong resident of Algiers. She attended L.B. Landry High School, Delgado Community College and Sidney Collier Vo-Tech School . She was a member of Thompson Temple Church of God in Christ and New Hope Full Gospel Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Shaquille Reaux; two daughters, Yasmeen Webb and Ta'Ja Reaux; her father, Allen C. Berry Sr.; her mother, Marilyn R. Berry; her stepfather, James A. Tucker; three brothers, Allen C. Berry III, Allen C. Berry II and Trudell Henderson; two sisters, Nedra S. Berry and Alicia Clark; and her grandparents, Leonard Nixon and George Berry Sr. A funeral will be held today at noon at Thompson Temple Church of God in Christ, 1515 Whitney Ave. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will be private. Alfred J. "Mickey" Johnson, a retired electrical, air-conditioning and refrigeration engineer with Bailey Corp., died Tuesday at his home. He was 79. Mr. Johnson was born in New Orleans and lived in Metairie for the past 47 years. He served in the Merchant Marine during World War II. He was a member of the Marine Club of New Orleans; the National Rifle Association; ARRL, the National Association for Amateur Radio; Nobles of the Mystic Shrine Scottish Rite of Free Masonry, Forum Lodge No. 395; and Tau Kappa Epsilon. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Pittman Johnson; three sons, Alfred Johnson Jr. and Kim and Gary Johnson; a daughter, Mary DiCarlo; a stepson, Gerald Keen; two brothers, Donald and John Johnson; two sisters, Celie Bock and Elaine Stuart; and three grandchildren. A funeral will be held today at 1 p.m. at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. Visitation will begin at noon. Burial will be private.

Sophie Vulevich Martin, a retired secretary, died Sunday at Meadowcrest Hospital. She was 90. Mrs. Martin was born in New Orleans and lived in Gretna for the past 35 years. Anna Mae S. May, a retired secretary for the U.S. Customs Service, died Wednesday at Metropolitan Hospice. She was 83. Mrs. May was born in New Orleans and lived in Metairie for the past 50 years. Survivors include a son, Robert Lee; a brother, John Spencer; a sister, Mary Schwartz; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Clarence "BeBop" Bridges, a retired laborer at Don't Cuss See Gus, died Wednesday of cancer at his home. He was 68. Mr. Bridges was born in Tylertown, Miss., and lived in New Orleans for the past 42 years. He was a member of Greater St. Matthew's Baptist Church No. 2. Survivors include his wife, Emma Alma Bridges; three sons, Clarence, Lloyd and Lionel Bridges; three daughters, Irene Brock and Delphine Woodridge, both of Franklinton, and Barbara Bridges; a stepdaughter, Patricia Johnson; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Joyce Althea Bacques, a retired stenographer, died Thursday at St. Margaret's Daughters Home. She was 78. Miss Bacques was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. Etta Jackson, a homemaker, died Thursday at East Jefferson General Hospital. She was 87. Mrs. Jackson was born in New York City and lived in Kenner for the past two years. She was a civilian Navy employee during World War II. She formerly operated a chicken farm in Coram, N.Y., and worked for many years for Lighthouse for the Blind in New York City. Survivors include two sons, Barry and William Jackson; two brothers, Sam and David Roth; a sister, Helen Psalm; and two grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Sunday at 11 a.m. at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Funeral Home, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd., Metairie.

Herman Hillery Watson III, an employee of Prime Power Services in Mableton, Ga., died Nov. 18 at Grady Hospital in Atlanta from burn injuries suffered in a work-related accident. He was 41. Mr. Watson was born in Marrero and lived in Hiram, Ga., for the past nine years. He a former employee of Halliburton Services in Harvey. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Powder Springs, Ga. Survivors include his wife, Donna Hebert Watson; a son, Brandon Watson; a daughter, Courtney Watson; his mother, Elizabeth "Betty" Watson; a brother, Scott Watson; four sisters, Nettie Carr, Debbie Cuda, Diane Matherne and Gwen Martin; and his grandmother, Mary Ann Ochello. Christopher Michael Segari, a student at Archbishop Rummel High School, died Friday of injuries suffered in a car accident in the 3600 block of West Metairie Avenue. He was 18. Mr. Segari was born in New Orleans and lived in Kenner. He was a member of the school band and webmaster for the school's Web site. He was an altar server for Our Lady of Divine Providence Catholic Church. Survivors include his father, Robert V. Segari; his mother, Corliss Chauff Segari; a brother, Stephen M. Segari; a sister, Ashley E. Segari; and his grandmother, Gladys Mae Chauff. A Mass will be said Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Benilde Catholic Church, 1901 Division St., Metairie.
