Carmelite D. Ruffo, former owner of Hazel's Po-Boys, died Saturday at East Jefferson General Hospital. She was 82. Mrs. Ruffo was born in New Orleans and lived in Metairie for the past 35 years. She was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, Rocco A. Ruffo Sr.; a son, Donald A. Ruffo; and a brother, Jerome Alfred. A Mass will be said Thursday at 1 p.m. at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. Visitation will begin at noon. Burial will be in Cypress Grove Cemetery.

Rosemary Rigis Melton, a retired office manager for Jefferson Door Co., died Wednesday at Jo Ellen Smith Convalescent Center in Algiers. She was 75. Ms. Melton was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. Survivors include a son, Peter G. Melton; a daughter, Wanda Melton-Hanson; a sister, Hilda Nagel; and two grandchildren. Jeannine Marie "Jean" Crawford, a retired social worker, died Monday of septic shock at Memorial Medical Center. She was 73. Mrs. Crawford was born in New York City and lived in New Orleans for the past 12 years. She graduated from Queens College in Queens, N.Y. Survivors include her husband, Morris B. "Billy" Crawford; a son, Kevin Reid of New York City; two daughters, Stephanie A. and Joy Reid, both of New York City; and four grandchildren. Robert "Pop" Boudreaux, owner of Orleans Beauty Salon 1 & 2 and Sub-Sea Corp., died Saturday of cancer at his home. He was 52. Mr. Boudreaux was born in New Orleans and lived in Terrytown for the past five years. He graduated from Walter L. Cohen High School and Delgado Barbering School. He was a former employee of Avondale Shipyard. He was a member of Greater St. Stephen Full Gospel Baptist Church, where he was on usher board No. 3. He also was a member of Valet Social and Pleasure Club. Survivors include his wife, Veronica Boudreaux; three daughters, Evella and Jana Boudreaux and Shelita Scott; his mother, Lillie Mae Boudreaux; and two grandchildren. He worked in oil fields, farmed and raised cattle. Survivors include two sons, Jimmie Wayne Nix Sr. of Palmer, Ark., and Robby O'Rear of Mandeville; a daughter, Dee O. Seth Leo Coleman, an employee of Chet Morrison Contractors Inc. and the New Orleans Steamboat Co., died Thursday from injuries suffered in a car accident in Harvey. He was 19. Mr. Coleman was born in Lafitte and lived in Terrytown for the past 13 years. He attended Fisher High School in Lafitte, where he was a member of the Drug Abuse Resistance Education team, the Fisher High School football and track teams and a volunteer for the Friendship Club. Survivors include his fiancée, Melissa Marie Olano; his father, Jaime "J.B." Coleman; his mother, Lottie Cheramie Bennett; his stepfather, James Alan Bennett Sr.; three brothers, Norris Jude Cheramie, Andre J. Coleman and James A. Bennett Jr.; and six sisters, Heather M. Walker, Winifred A. Coleman, Brooke A. and Autumn L. Cheramie and Heather L. and Kelly E. Bennett.
