Robert C. Lusignan Jr., a salesman for Marks Paper Co., died Tuesday of complications from pneumonia at Tulane Medical Center. He was 56. Mr. Lusignan was born in Algiers and lived in Waggaman. Survivors include his wife, Ann Cleveland Lusignan; three stepsons, Ottis E., David C. and Gino Reid; two stepdaughters, Belinda Dolashewich and Sharon Hymel; a brother, Louis Lusignan; two sisters, Callie Fouquet and Uvonne Rahn; and 13 grandchildren. A Mass will be said Saturday at 1 p.m. at Holy Name of Mary Church, 500 Eliza St., Algiers. Visitation will be today from 6 to 9:30 p.m. at Mothe Funeral Home, 1300 Vallette St., Algiers, and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to noon. Burial will be in McDonogh Cemetery.

Janice Etienne, a self-employed beautician, died Aug. 31 of cancer at her home in Montz. She was 62. Mrs. Etienne was a lifelong resident of Montz. Survivors include her mother, Helen Thomas Seymour of LaPlace; two sons, Raymond Etienne Jr. of LaPlace and Terrence Etienne; a brother, Larry Seymour; two sisters, Edna Mae Seymour and Alta Mae Wilson, both of LaPlace; and eight grandchildren. A Mass will be said today at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church on River Road in Destrehan. Visitation will begin at 8 a.m. Burial will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens in St. Rose. Opal Buchanan, a retired private sitter, died Sept. 7 at Memorial Medical Center. She was 89. Mrs. Buchanan was born in Gloster, Miss., and lived in New Orleans for the past 60 years. She attended Mid-County Training School and Neola School of Beauty. She was a former president of Orchid Girls Social & Pleasure Club. Survivors include a brother, Willie E. Harvey. Martha M. Walton, a retired domestic worker, died Monday at Meadowcrest Living Center. She was 87. Mrs. Walton was born in Largo, Fla., and lived in Gretna. Survivors include two sons, Allen Walton Jr. and Robert L. Walton Sr.; a daughter, Lula M. Bussey; 11 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and four great-great- grandchildren. Parker V. Clairveaux, a retired merchant seaman with Lykes Bros. Steamship Co., died Wednesday of leukemia at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, Miss. He was 73. Mr. Clairveaux was born in New Orleans and lived in Pass Christian, Miss. He was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Pass Christian. Survivors include his wife, Audrey Clairveaux; a son, Parker V. Duplessis; two daughters, Linda Green and Wanda Piernas; two sisters, Dorothy Elliot and Mary Ann Meyers, both of Vallejo, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Catherine Parr Hinson, a homemaker, died Aug. 28 of respiratory failure at Slidell Memorial Hospital. She was 81. Mrs. Hinson was born in New Orleans and lived in Slidell for the past 11 years. She had been a volunteer at Slidell Memorial Hospital. Survivors include two daughters, Sonya Rolls and Jonell Hamilton; a sister, Estelle Perez; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A funeral was held Aug. 30 at Schoen Funeral Home in Slidell. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Marshall Rodney Rodriguez, owner of Rod's Auto Body Shop and Roadway Towing Co., died Tuesday of undetermined causes at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. He was 45. Mr. Rodriguez was born in New Orleans and lived in Covington for the past 15 years. He was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School. He was a member of the Third Order of St. Benedict and the Krewe of Endymion. Survivors include two sons, Marshall and Mitchell Rodriguez; a daughter, Rachel Rodriguez; his father, Marshall J. Rodriguez; his mother, Rosita Vincelette Rodriguez; and two sisters, Michelle Rodriguez-Thomas and Cathleen Rodriguez-Brownson. A Mass was said Friday St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Burial was in St. Louis Cemetery No. 3. Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Roland C. Scogin, a retired chief marine diesel engineer, died Aug. 27 at Greenbriar Nursing Home. He was 85. Mr. Scogin was a lifelong resident of Slidell. He was a Merchant Marine veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Mary W. Scogin; two sons, Virgil W. Scogin of Houma and Christopher Scogin; two daughters, Brenda Braud of Independence and Shelia Matisen of El Lago, Texas; two brothers, Willis Scogin of Picayune, Miss., and Douglas Scogin; and nine grandchildren. Audrey LeBlanc Childs, a homemaker, died Saturday of cancer at Memorial Medical Center. She was 70. Mrs. Childs was born in New Orleans and lived in Metairie for the past 65 years. She graduated from Metairie High School. She was a parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, where she was a Eucharistic minister and a member of its bereavement ministry, the Altar Society, Bon Temps and St. Margaret's Daughters. She was a volunteer at Chateau de Notre Dame and Jesuit High School. She was awarded the St. Louis Medallion from the Archdiocese of New Orleans. Survivors include a son, Martin A. Childs; a daughter, Marie M. Childs; and two brothers, Raymond J. LeBlanc and Louis F. LeBlanc Jr. A Mass will be said today at 1 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 448 Metairie Road, Metairie. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until Mass begins. Burial will be at Lake Lawn Mausoleum.
