William Thomas "Tom" Havard, a retired supervisor for Bell South, died Thursday of undetermined causes at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. He was 60. Mr. Havard was born in New Orleans and lived in Bogalusa for the past 21 years. He was an Air Force veteran. Survivors include four daughters, Sherri Havard-Gabriel of Baton Rouge, Susan McLain of Covington, Stacie Vining of Amite and Sandra Rester; three sisters, Joyce Adams of McNeil, Miss., and Barbara Bingham and Cindi Stockstill, both of Slidell; and 10 grandchildren. A funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home in Bogalusa. Visitation will be today from 5 to 10 p.m. Burial will be in Poplarhead Cemetery.

Ruby Roussell Spears McCall, a homemaker, died Friday of emphysema at her home. She was 64. Mrs. McCall was born in New Orleans and lived in Marrero. Survivors include her husband, Roland McCall Sr.; two sons, Troy McCall Sr. and Terry McCall Sr.; five daughters, Linda Miller, Lynette Lovely, Demetria McCall, Schnell Peterson and Heidi Thomas; six brothers, Richard, Harold, Ernest and Clarence Roussell, Henry Roussell Jr. and Marvin Gaines; three sisters, Gloria Carter of Minnesota, Norma Johnson and Loranier Cullier; a stepsister, Marion Telton; 24 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Second Highway Baptist Church, 1533 Haydel Drive, Marrero. Bernice G. Montana, an Orleans Parish School Board employee, died Tuesday at Memorial Medical Center. She was 77. Mrs. Montana was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. Survivors include two sons, Allison Montana Jr. and Harold Montana; a sister, Marion G. Marigny; and three grandchildren. Leonard Mouton, a retired landscaper, died Sunday of heart failure at Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was 68. Mr. Mouton was born in Abbeville and lived in New Orleans for the past 56 years. He was an Army veteran. Survivors include his father, Joseph Mouton Sr.; three brothers, Lawrence and Earnest Mouton and Joseph Mouton Jr.; and six sisters, Mary Powell, Margerite Turner, Nancy Mouton, Dorothy Bradshaw, Rita Garfield and Irene Watson. Joy Rillieux, a homemaker, died Tuesday of cancer at Metropolitan Hospice in Kenner. She was 57. Mrs. Rillieux was born in New Orleans and lived in Kenner for the past 31 years. She was member of First Pentecostal Church. Survivors include her husband, Roy Rillieux; a daughter, Rachel Ann Rillieux; five brothers, Horace, Sidney, Huey, George and Raymond Williams; and three sisters, Madeline Langhouse, Alice Thaic and Betty Boudreaux. Lloyd Harris Jr., a cement mason, died Monday of a heart attack at Touro Infirmary. He was 43. Mr. Harris was a lifelong resident of New Orleans. He received his GED from the Job Corps in Ozark, Ark. He was a member of Third Rose of Sharon Baptist Church. He worked for Boh Bros. Construction Co. for 25 years. He was a member of Cement Masons & Plasterers Local Union No. 567. Survivors include his companion, Denise R. Vallery; two sons, Lloyd Harris III and Jermaine H. Vallery; six daughters, Kim Rodriguez and Shelita R., Ciara M., Cherrell D., Joenika N. and Layzette Vallery; a brother, Charles Harris Sr.; three sisters, Cheryl Williams Hall, Deborah Harris Lewis and Margaret Harris Carter; and two grandchildren. She was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle Church and a member of the Heights of Life Social and Pleasure Club. Margaret Sievers Abel, a retired teacher, died Friday at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. She was 88. Mrs. Abel was born in New Orleans and lived in Covington for the past 50 years. She graduated from Tulane University with a bachelor's degree in education. She taught third grade in the Jefferson Parish school system for 20 years and for 10 years in St. Tammany Parish schools. She started a school for special children in Metairie. Mrs. Abel was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, a national society for teachers in charge of RIF (Reading Is Fundamental) and the St. Tammany Hospital Guild. She was parliamentarian of the Garden Club, a board member of Hadden Hall, parliamentarian of the local AARP chapter and president of the Friends of the Library. Survivors include two sons, David L. and Victor Henry Abel; a sister, Anna Sievers Atkinson of Corpus Christi, Texas; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. A funeral will be held Thursday at 6 p.m. at Covington Presbyterian Church, 322 S. Jefferson Ave., Covington. Burial will be private. Schoen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
