Beatrice (Laycock) Hamilton, 81, of Andover died Sunday, May 27 at the Meadows.
Born in Lawrence, she graduated from Lawrence High School. She attended United Methodist Church in Lawrence.
Mrs. Hamilton was a longtime Andover resident. She enjoyed gardening, antiquing, and travel.
She was the widow of Robert Hamilton.
Members of her family include her brother, William Laycock of Salem, N.H.; sisters, Mary Kiernan of Salem, and Phyllis Dorsey of Methuen; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also mother of the late Sharon L. Hamilton.
Funeral services and burial in Ridgewood Cemetery in North Andover will be private. Arrangements are by Dewhirst & Conte Funeral Homes of Andover and North Andover.

Dorothy L. Mower

Dorothy L. (Harlow) Mower, 90, formerly of Andover, died Tuesday, May 29 at the Greenery of North Andover.
Mrs. Mower was born in Lynn. She was a member of South Church in Andover.
She was the widow of Robert L. Mower.
Members of her family include sons, Richard Mower of East Kingston, N.H., Alan and his wife Jeanne Mower of Dracut, and David and his wife Joanne Mower of Rhode Island; daughter, Pauline Robichaud of Andover; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours and funeral services will be private.
Burial will be in West Parish Cemetery, Andover.

Hector G. Pattullo Jr.

Hector G. Pattullo Jr., 72, a lifelong resident of Andover, died suddenly on Saturday, June 2 at Lawrence General Hospital.
Born in Andover, Mr. Pattullo was educated at Punchard High School until he left to enlist in the US Navy during World War II. He graduated from the FBI National Academy and was a 36-year member of the Andover Police Department, attaining the rank of lieutenant.
He was a member of the Holy Family Men's Guild, APRA, Andover Auxiliary Police and the Appalachian Mountain Club. He was a past member of the Clan Johnson. He enjoyed doing aerobics at the Training Station in Andover, hiking, and taking woodcarving classes and traveling with members of Andover Senior Center.
Members of his family include his wife of 50 years, Beatrice (Marsan) Pattullo; sons, Andover Police Sgt. Donald and wife Sharon (Ricci) Pattullo of Newburyport, David W. and Susan (Volmer) Pattullo of Lincolnville, Maine, Andover Chief of Police Brian J. Pattullo and Clifford J. Pattullo, both of Andover; sister, Frances Salois; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Gilbert A. Cate

Gilbert A. Cate, 89, formerly of Andover, North Andover, and Hampstead, N.H. died Monday, June 4 at Salemhaven Nursing Home in Salem, N.H.
Mr. Cate was a bookkeeper for 35 years at Charles D. Glennie Milk Co.
Before that, he worked at the Stevens Mills.
He was born in North Andover. He attended South Church in Andover.
Mr. Cate was a member of the North Andover Cochichewick Masonic Lodge AF&AM, a Shriner of the Aleppo Temple, a member of the Scottish Rites, and a 32nd Degree Mason.
While living in Hampstead, N.H., he was a member of the Civic Club and the Congregational Church.
He was the widower of Janet (Glennie) Cate. Members of his family include sons, Alan G. Cate of Bedford, and Stephen J. Cate of Atkinson, N.H.; and three granddaughters.

Evelyn (Dwyer) Sullivan, 87, formerly of Sunset Rock Road, died Monday, June 4 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.
Mrs. Sullivan was a special needs teacher in Andover schools.
Born in Lawrence, she graduated from Lawrence High School and Lowell Teachers College.
She attended St. Michael's Church in North Andover. She was a member of the Andover Garden Club.
She was also an avid bridge player.
She was the widow of John S. Sullivan. Members of her family include daughter, Susana Bamford of Ipswich; two granddaughters; and two nephews.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated today, Thursday, June 7 at 10 a.m. at St. Michael's Church in North Andover.

Arthur E. Botsch

Arthur E. Botsch, 68, of Andover, died Sunday, June 3 at home.
Educated in Andover and a graduate of Punchard High School class of 1950, Mr. Botsch worked at Bolta Co. and Raytheon Co. He retired after 38 years at Western Electric, AT&T and Lucent Technologies Inc.
Mr. Botsch served in the Army during the Korean War. He played softball in several local leagues for many years, and enjoyed bowling, gardening and tending his orchids.
Members of his family include his wife of 45 years, Barbara A. (Hall) Botsch; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Dorothy Botsch of Atkinson, N.H.; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Bruce Dancoe of Wilmington; sister, Marguerite Lumb of Bradford; and four grandchildren.

Virginia M. (Wells) Morgan Hatton, 92, a longtime Andover resident, died Tuesday, May 29 at Wingate Nursing Home.
Born in Montclair, N.J., she graduated from Wellesley College in 1930.
Mrs. Hatton was a member of West Parish Church and its Bible study group. She was also involved with the Carvell Chapter for the Blind, volunteering for several activities, driving people for appointments and organizing activities.
She was the widow of Francis R. Morgan and Robert H. Hatton.
Members of her family include sons and daughters-in-law, Richard W. Morgan and Helena of Lowell, and David W. Morgan and Susan of East Hampton, Conn.; daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Norman Hodgkins of Lovell, Maine; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a niece.
She was also mother of the late Donald Morgan and Marion L. Morgan.
