Dr. Judith Rae Anderson Horne

Dr. Judith Rae Anderson Horne, 58, of Andover died Saturday, Oct. 30, at home.
Dr. Anderson was born and raised in San Francisco, Calif. She graduated from Vassar College in 1962, Stanford University in 1964 with a master's degree, and Boston University in 1974 with a doctorate in psychology.
She was a psychologist in private practice for 25 years. She taught English at Abbot Academy from 1967 to 1970.
Members of her family include her husband of 34 years, Timothy P. Horne of Andover; daughters, Tiffany Rae Horne of Boulder, Colo., and Tara V. Horne Grant of Nantucket and her husband, Philip A. Grant; brother, Harry Davey Anderson Jr. of San Mateo Calif.
Services were private.
Arrangements were by Dewhirst and Conte Funeral Home.

Barbara Wescott

Barbara (Harlow) Wescott, 82, of Andover died Tuesday, Nov. 2, at MI Nursing & Restorative Center in Lawrence.
Mrs. Wescott was born and educated in Turners Falls and attended the University of Maine.
She lived in Andover since 1947.
Mrs. Wescott was a member of South Church and active with its Two and One Club and APC. She contracted polio in 1955 and became a key coordinator of the association of polio patients treated at the former Haynes Memorial Hospital in Brighton.
Mrs. Wescott volunteered for experiments at Boston University during the 1960s to help polio researchers learn about the potential of polio-damaged muscles.
She and her husband, Emery Wescott of Andover, wrote and published the Harlow Happenings Newsletter for many years.
Besides her husband, members of her family include her sons and daughters-in-law, Donald H. and Jacqueline Wescott of Richmond, Robert E. and Gretchen Wescott of Andover, and Gerald R. and Deborah Wescott of Jacksonville, Fla.; sister, Ann Blanker of Greenfield; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one niece; and two nephews.
Arrangements were by Charles Dewhirst, Edgerley & Bessom Funeral Home.
A memorial service at South Church will be announced.

Richard V. Kilinski

Richard V. Kilinski, 45, of Andover died Wednesday, Nov. 3, at Holy Family Hospital and Medical Center in Methuen.
Mr. Kilinski was born in Chicago, Ill., and raised in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. He graduated from the University of Chicago where he lived until he moved to Andover in 1995.
Mr. Kilinski was a consultant for Arthur Anderson and Price Waterhouse Coopers.
Members of his family include his mother, Mary Alma (Wells) Kilinski of Tallahassee, Fla.; daughter, Megan A. Kilinski of Chicago; and sister, Andrea Randell of Tallahassee.
Arrangements were by Dewhirst & Conte Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Timothy J. Lane Jr.

Timothy J. Lane Jr., 57, of Andover died Tuesday, Nov. 2, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, after a brief illness.
Mr. Lane was born in Cambridge. He graduated from Mission High School in Roxbury, from Boston College in 1964, from Suffolk University in 1966 with a master's in education, and from Suffolk University School of Law in 1973.
He had lived in Everett for 25 years before he moved to Andover in 1981.
Mr. Lane taught at Everett High School from the late 1960s through early 1970s. He was an assistant attorney general from 1975 to 1976 when he went into private law practice in Malden. That practice is now known as Appleyard, Grant & Lane.
Mr. Lane was a part-time professor teaching law at Bentley College for 25 years when he retired in 1998.
He was an enthusiastic Boston College alumnus and an active fundraiser for the school.
Members of his family include his wife, Kathleen (Buckley) Lane of Andover; daughter, Maureen Lane of Malden; sons, Timothy S. Lane of Everett, Brian P. Lane of San Francisco, Calif., and Kevin Lane of Chicago, Ill.; sister, Anne Lane of England; and a cousin.
A funeral Mass was said in Immaculate Conception Church in Everett. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, also in Everett.
Arrangements were by E.E. Burns and Son Funeral Home in Malden.

Mary L. Currier

Mary L. Currier, 80, of Exeter, N.H., died Saturday, Nov. 6, at home.
Mrs. Currier was born in Portsmouth, Ohio.
The Brown University graduate had lived in Newburyport and Andover before moving to Exeter in 1997.
Mrs. Currier was a past president and board member of the directors of the YWCA of Lawrence, a member of the November Club of Andover, Newburyport Garden Club, Historical Society of Newbury, and the board of directors of Newburyport YWCA, a former member of the board of directors of Lawrence General Hospital Aid Association, and a past president of the Merrimack Valley United Way.
For several years she helped with the Among Friends soup kitchen at St. Paul Church in Newburyport.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling.
Members of her family include her daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Louise and Roger Gagnon of Newburyport and Gretchen C. and Richard Allen of Wickenburg, Ariz.; sisters, Joan Levinson of Asheville, N.C., and Barbara Kuhlman of Richmond, Ind.; three grandchildren; three nieces, one nephew; and several cousins.
She was the widow of Willard Currier.
Her funeral was held Monday at Simplicity Burial & Cremation Services in Newburyport. A graveside service was held Tuesday at West Parish Cemetery.

Dr. Carter Rudy

Dr. Carter Rudy, 76, of Chatham died Thursday, Oct. 28, at home.
Dr. Rudy was born in Pottstown, Pa. He earned a B.S. degree from Franklin & Marshall College and graduated from Temple University School of Dentistry in 1950.
Dr. Rudy was a Navy lieutenant J.G. on the U.S.S. Flint in the Pacific during World War II. With his dental degree, he was chosen for a dental internship in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Fitzsimons Army Hospital in Denver, Colo. He practiced as an oral surgeon and became head of an Army Hospital Dental Clinic at Fort Devens. He retired from the Army as a full colonel after 20 years of service.
Dr. Rudy became a professor at Tufts Dental School in Boston.
He lived in Andover before he retired and moved to Chatham.
Members of his family include his wife of 51 years, Nancy (Spearel) Rudy of Chatham; son, Jeffrey Rudy of Methuen; daughters, Pamela McElroy of Barrington, R.I., and Allyson Rudy of Wayzata, Minn.; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 20, at 1 p.m. in First United Methodist Church, 16 Cross St., Chatham.
He was buried with full military honors at Massachusetts National Cemetery.
Arrangements were by Cremation Society of Massachusetts.
