Ruth E. (Eisenberg) Waldman, 71, of Andover died Wednesday, Nov. 10, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Mrs. Waldman was born in Philadelphia, Pa.
She was a former secretary for D.E.Q.E.
Mrs. Waldman was a member of Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Andover and active in the Andover Senior Center.
Members of her family include her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Warren Pearson of Peabody; brother, Dr. Jerome Eisenberg of New York City; three grandchildren; one niece; one nephew; and several cousins.
Cremation took place at Linwood Crematory.
Arrangements were by Burke Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 23, at 2 p.m. at Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 6 Locke St.

Helen Wilkinson Willis

Helen (Knight) Wilkinson Willis, 96, of North Andover died Thursday, Nov. 11, at the Meadows in North Andover.
Mrs. Willis was born in Cambridge. She graduated from Abbot Academy in 1922 and from Wheelock College.
The former Andover resident was past president of Greater Lawrence YWCA, past president and honorary member of November Club and North Andover and Andover Garden Club, a member of North Andover Country Club and a former member of the Annisquam Yacht Club. She was a trustee of Lawrence General Hospital for 30 years and an honorary member at the time of her death.
Members of her family include her husband, Samuel A. Willis of North Andover; son and daughter-in-law, E. Chadbourne and Marilyn Graves of Laconia, N.H.; daughters and sons-in-law, Wendy W. and George Stern of North Andover and Linda W. and Thomas Lebach of North Falmouth; stepson, David F. Willis of Ridgefield, Conn., and his wife, Lillian Willis; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Burial was private.
Arrangements were by Dewhirst & Conte Funeral Home in North Andover.

Thomas F. Minghella

Thomas F. Minghella, 78, of Methuen died Saturday, Nov. 13, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
The former Andover resident was born in Stoneham and graduated from Stoneham High in 1939.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. Minghella worked for Atlantic Gelatin of Woburn before he retired.
He was past president of Local 295, a member of the Retired Mens Club of Wakefield and a life member of Wakefield BPOE.
Members of his family include his daughter and son-in-law, Nanci J. and Steven Kasischke of Methuen; brothers and sisters, Jennie Salera, Frank Minghella, Mickey Marrocco, Petie Minghella and Larney Minghella, all of Stoneham; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the widower of Jeanne M. (Hogan) Minghella.
Funeral services on Wednesday at A.E. Finnegan & Son Home for Funerals in Stoneham were followed by a Mass in St. Patrick Church, also in Stoneham. Burial was in St. Patrick Cemetery in Stoneham.

Robert J. Gilman

Robert J. Gilman, 69, of San Diego, Calif., died Oct. 24 in La Mesa, Calif.
Mr. Gilman was born in Andover.
Members of his family include his daughters, Gail Gilman of La Mesa, Calif., and Geraldine Goetz of Westford; sisters, Ruth Fontaine of Salem, N.H., Edith MacDonald of Lawrence, and Mary Petralia of Salem; brothers, Ralph Gilman of Plaistow, N.H., and George Gilman of Salem; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was buried in Sacramento, Calif.
A memorial service will be held Friday, Nov. 26, at Community Christian Fellowship, 205 Industrial Ave., Lowell, at 11 a.m.

Helen E. Caswell

Helen E. (Nichols) Caswell, 94, of San Diego, Calif., died Oct. 21 at Canyon Villas Health Care.
Mrs. Caswell was born in Indianapolis and graduated from Boston University.
The longtime Andover resident moved to San Diego in 1993.
She was a member of Christ Church and a manager of its thrift shop and a president and director of Shawsheen Village Women's Club.
Members of her family include her sons and daughters-in-law, John H. and Virginia Caswell of Andover and Peter R. and Vivian Caswell of San Diego; daughter, Elizabeth Stenson, also of San Diego; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was the widow of Walter C. Caswell.
Private burial services were held in Christ Church Cemetery.

Lillian N. Boland

Lillian N. (Elder) Boland, 86, died Sunday, Dec. 5, at Academy Manor Nursing Home.
Mrs. Boland was born and educated in Andover.
She worked at Marland Mills in Andover and John W. Barry Co. in Lawrence until she retired.
She lived at St. Alfio's Villa in Lawrence until this year.
Mrs. Boland enjoyed traveling, reading and line dancing.
Members of her family include her brothers-in-law, Arthur Reason of Saco, Maine, and John F. Lyons Jr. of Andover; sisters-in-law, M. Florence Boland of Lawrence and Marjorie Crossley of Andover and her husband, John F. Crossley.
She was the widow of William D. Boland.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at John Breen Memorial Funeral Home in Lawrence.
Burial was in Spring Grove Cemetery.
Fernande Duchesne

Fernande (Audy) Duchesne, 84, of Andover died Sunday, Dec. 5, at home after a long struggle with Alzheimer's Disease.
Mrs. Duchesne was born and educated in Lawrence.
She worked at Liggetts Pharmacy and in other retail sales positions in Greater Lawrence.
Mrs. Duchesne attended Sacred Heart Church in Lawrence.
She enjoyed crocheting, shopping, sewing and socializing with her family.
Members of her family include her daughter, Linda Scherig of Andover, with whom she lived; one sister-in-law, and several nieces and nephews.
She was the widow of Gerald Duchesne.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
