LAWRENCE -- Yvonne J. (Berube) Charette, 93, of Morton Street, died Saturday at Lawrence General Hospital.
Mrs. Charette was a retired employee of Arlington Mills.
Born in Lawrence, she lived in the area all her life.
She was a member of the former St. Anne Parish.
The widow of Edward J. Charette, she leaves sister Rose Mailloux of Lawrence; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are tomorrow from noon to 1 p.m. at Racicot Funeral Home, 256 Broadway.
Funeral services will be tomorrow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Andover.
Rev. Dominic DiGuardo

STONY POINT, N.Y. -- The Rev. Dominic DiGuardo of the Salesian Order died Dec. 4.
As well as being a priest, he was a musician and composer of the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers.
He studied in Europe before moving to the United States in 1937 as a newly ordained priest. His first Mass in Lawrence, Mass., was at Holy Rosary Church.
He leaves sister Frieda Badolato of Andover, Mass.; nieces Rosemarie Webb of Andover and Constance Wark of Boston; two grandnieces; and one grandnephew.
A memorial Mass will be Saturday at 12:05 p.m. at Holy Rosary Church in Lawrence.
Hector Erinna

CAMBRIDGE -- Hector Erinna, 84, formerly of 237 Franklin St., died last week at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston.
He was born and educated in Colon, Panama.
In his younger years, Mr. Erinna was a boxer, and later was a boxing promoter. He operated a dry cleaning business with his family in Panama before moving to this country in 1965.
Mr. Erinna was a firefighter for New England Confectionary Co. of Cambridge for 18 years before he retired.
He leaves wife Melina (Dennis) Erinna of Boston; sons Ramon and his wife Lynne of Haverhill, Hector Jr. and his wife Olga of Fremont, N.H., and Manuel J. of New Bedford; daughter and son-in-law Carola Erinna-Brekel and Bruce Brekel of Burtonsville, Md.; 18 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are tomorrow from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Berube-Comeau Funeral Home, 47 Broadway, Haverhill.
A funeral Mass will be tomorrow at 1 p.m. at St. James Church in Haverhill. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Plaistow, N.H.

DRACUT -- Kathleen (Tilley) Grassis, 84, died Sunday at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.
Mrs. Grassis worked at the former Pacific Mills of Lawrence and had also worked at the former Stride Rite Shoe Co. of Lawrence.
She was born and educated in Lawrence. She had also lived in Methuen and moved to Dracut in 1991.
She was a member of the former St. Theresa's Church in Methuen.
The widow of Joseph Grassis, she leaves sons and daughters-in-law Joseph M. and Donnabeth Dooley of Andover, and Donald F. and Patricia of Dracut, with whom she lived; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are tomorrow from 4 to 8 p.m. at Charles F. Dewhirst Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Methuen.
A funeral Mass will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at St Monica's Church in Methuen. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.

Charles F. Hutton

LONDONDERRY, N.H. -- Charles F. Hutton, 79, of Pillsbury Road, died Sunday at Parkland Medical Center in Derry.
Born in Hampstead, he lived in Londonderry for the last three years, formerly having lived in Derry all his life.
During World War II, Mr. Hutton served with the Navy Seabees in the 33rd Naval Construction Battalion. While serving three years in the South Pacific, he received several combat medals. He also received the Combat Action Ribbon.
Mr. Hutton served for many years with the Derry Fire Department.
He was a 54-year member and past master of St. Mark's Lodge 44, Free and Accepted Masons of Derry. He was a 21-year member of Bell Chapter 25, Royal Arch Masons in Derry, and was a 21-year member of Israel Hunt Council 8, Royal & Select Masters, Nashua.
Mr. Hutton received the "Major General John Sullivan Distinguished Service Medal," presented by the Grand Lodge of New Hampshire F. & A.M. He was a 21-year member of St. George Commandery 8, Knights Templar, Nashua, and a 20-year member of Bektash Temple Ancient Arabic Order Nobles of the Mystic Shrine, Concord.
He was president of Derry Masonic Association. He was a 51-year member and past patron of Ransford Chapter 3, Order of Eastern Star, Derry. He was past adviser to the Derry DeMolay Chapter.
Mr. Hutton was a longtime member of the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration and held many positions within the church, including maintaining the building and grounds.
He leaves wife of 55 years Thelma (Mitchell) Hutton; daughters Barbara L. Hutton of Boulder, Colo., Patrice E. Wood of Hampton, and Janice E. Malek of Norridgwock, Maine; son William E. III of California, Md.; sisters Mildred Loveitt of Gorham, Maine, Eleanor Gillis of Libertyville, Ill., and Virginia Fitzpatrick of Andover, Mass.; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, memorial calling hours will be Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Meeker Hall at the Church of the Transfiguration, Hood Road, Derry. Masonic services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. at the church.
A memorial service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the church.
Arrangements are by Peabody Funeral Home, 15 Birch St., Derry.

SALEM, N.H. -- Ronald P. Magliano, 51, died Saturday at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, Mass.
Mr. Magliano was the owner and president of Astrum Electronics Inc. of Atkinson for the last 20 years.
Born in Winthrop, Mass., he graduated from East Boston High School. He was a former resident of Reading, Mass., before moving to Salem 19 years ago.
Mr. Magliano served in the Marines in the 1960s. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church.
He leaves wife Linda M. (Anderson) Magliano; son Marc J. of Worcester, Mass.; daughters Dena M. of Sandown, and Kara A. of Salem; sisters Donna DeFronzo of Saugus, Mass., and Heidi Grifoni of East Boston, Mass.; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours.
A Mass of Christian burial will be tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, 40 Main St. Entombment will follow in Eternal Light Mausoleum.

HAVERHILL -- Jose Rafael Nunez, 56, died yesterday at Lawrence General Hospital.
Mr. Nunez worked at the shipping and receiving department at Cuirs Hawtan in Bradford for 22 years.
Born and educated in the Dominican Republic, he moved to Haverhill 22 years ago.
He leaves wife of 28 years Milagros (Alvarado) Nunez; son Alfredo Jose, daughters and sons-in-law Audrey and Franklin Perez and Rossangie and Elvin Matrille, all of Haverhill; brothers Jesus Taveras of New York, Felix A., Rafael and Alejandro Nunez, all of Maryland, and Fernando and Delfin Nunez, both of the Dominican Republic; sisters Johanny Coronado of Lawrence and Rosa Taveras of the Dominican Republic; and several nieces and nephews.

HAVERHILL -- Louis F. Sweeney Jr., 71, died Jan. 9 in Rialto, Calif.
Mr. Sweeney worked at Foss Manufacturing until he retired.
Born in Concord, N.H., he moved to Providence, R.I., where he attended school. He later moved to Haverhill in 1961.
He leaves sons Eugene M. Krank of Fontana, Calif., Louis Hopkins of Florida, Michael Walker of Haverhill, John Walker of Fontana, and Kelly L. Krank and Billy Joe Sweeney, both of Haverhill; daughters Sandra Leblanc of Florida, Patricia Marshall of Frankfurt, Ky., and Betty Jo Bailey of Haverhill; brothers John Mimms of Pasadena, Calif., and Frederick Sweeney and Roland Mimms, both of Haverhill; sisters Cheryl Sweeney of Lawrence and Geraldine Sylvester of Haverhill; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
