Katherine M. (Piekos) Quinn, 97, a longtime Ballardvale resident, died Sunday, Sept. 24 at Broward Nursing and Rehabilitation Home in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Mrs. Quinn lived on River Street in Ballardvale until she recently moved to Florida to be with her family.
She attended St. Augustine Church in Andover. She was a former president and member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary, and participated in various activites.
She was the widow of Peter D. Quinn.
Members of her family include two daughters, Norma Walsh of Ocala, Fla., and Linda Garabedian of Pompano Beach, Fla.; nine grandchildren, including Aimee Lacroix and Carla Levi, with whom she lived; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Richard Quinn.

William J. Buehner

William J. Buehner, 88, of Andover, died Monday, Oct. 2.
Mr. Buehner taught Latin at Phillips Academy from 1950 until his retirement.
Before beginning his teaching career, Mr. Buehner was a member of the Society of Jesus, from which he resigned after World War II. During the war, he served as a chaplain, stationed in France.
He was the widower of Alma V. Buehner and Vivian A. (Wells) Buehner.
Members of his family include his son and daughter-in-law, William E. and Lenore (Trull) Buehner of Salisbury, Conn.; two grandchildren, William J. Buehner and his wife Brenda, and Sarah E. Peterson and her husband Craig, all of Florida; a great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 6 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Dewhirst & Conte Funeral Home, 28 Florence St.
A Mass will be celebrated tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 6 at 1 p.m. at St. Augustine Church. Burial will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery.

Gregory T. Glover

Gregory T. Glover, 21, formerly of Andover, died Wednesday, Sept. 20 at his home. He had suffered from diabetes since the age of 5.
Born in Winchester and educated in Methuen and Woburn, Mr. Glover graduated from Woburn High School in 1997.
He enjoyed reading and spending time with his family and friends.
He was the son of the late Valerie J. (Bell) Glover and the grandson of the late Wallace H. and Alma Jeanne (Gregory) Bell, all of Andover. He was also the grandson of the late Gregory Glover of Woburn.
Members of his family include his father, Thomas Glover and his wife, Jennifer Jenner, of Chelmsford; a sister, Caitlin Glover of Chelmsford; a brother, Travis Glover of Methuen; grandmother Helen Glover of Woburn; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was also the nephew of Greg and Robbin Bell of Andover.
Private funeral services and burial in Spring Grove Cemetery, Andover, were held last week.

Elizabeth T. (Tabah) Ganem, 90, died Monday, Oct. 2 at Wingate at Andover.
Born in Montreal, Canada, she lived in Andover for several years.
Mrs. Ganem was a homemaker.
She attended St. Anthony's Maronite Church in Lawrence. She belonged to the Daughters of St. Anthony.
She was the widow of A. John Ganem.
Members of her family include a son, Joseph J. Ganem and his wife Suzanne of Andover; two daughters, Carol E. Shamy of Montreal, and Ginger E. Shann of Andover; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are today, Thursday, Oct. 5 from 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. at Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence St., Methuen.
A Mass was to be celebrated today, Thursday, Oct. 5 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony's Maronite Church in Lawrence. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Methuen.

Eunice G. O'Brien

Eunice G. O'Brien, 92, of Rye, N.H., died Monday, Oct. 2 at Webster at Rye.
Mrs. O'Brien was an administrative secretary for Abbot Academy, Phillips Academy, and retired from the Senior Citizens Council of Portsmouth, N.H. in 1996.
Born in Bangor, Maine, she graduated from Bangor High School.
She summered in Rye for many years before moving there year-round from Andover. She was a member of St. Theresa Church in Rye Beach.
She was the widow of Joseph R. O'Brien.
Members of her family include her daughter and son-in-law, Kathryn and Nicolas Imboden of Berne, Switzerland; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are today, Thursday, Oct. 5 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Remick & Gendron Funeral Home-Crematory, 811 Lafayette Road, Hampton, N.H.

Matthew W. Houlihan

Matthew William Houlihan, 19, of Falmouth, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Oct. 3 at Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y.
He was born in Salem and lived in Andover, Ridgefield, Conn., and New York City before moving to Falmouth in 1997. He attended school in Andover, the Browning School in New York City, and was a 1999 graduate of Tabor Academy in Marion where he lettered in football, crew, and wrestling, and won the Tabor Coaches Award for football.
He attended St. Joseph's Church in Woods Hole.
Matthew was a sophomore at Hamilton, where he was a member of the crew team, the Chi Psi fraternity, and was an avid painter. He had won a scholarship from the St. Joseph's Scholarship Fund to attend college.
"He leaves many loved and dear friends with wonderful memories," his family said.
Members of his family include his parents, William F. and Elizabeth D. (Hunt) Houlihan of Falmouth; three brothers, Daniel P. Houlihan, Sean C. Houlihan, both of Boston, and Michael P. Houlihan of Denver, Colo.; maternal grandmother, Dorothy M. (Hackett) Hunt of South Dartmouth; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Daniel Gale, 56, of Andover, died Wednesday, Oct. 4 at Lawrence General Hospital.
He was born in Laconia, N.H.
Mr. Gale was founder of the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Ky., past president of NCRS National, co-founder of NCRS New England Chapter, past president of North Shore Corvette Club, and president and founder of NSMA.
Members of his family include his wife, Karen (Spilman) Gale; three sons and daughters-in-law, Darren and Michelle Gale of Manchester, N.H., Christopher and Debra Mitchell of Midlothian, Va., and Christyan P. and Dawn Mitchell of Boston; a daughter, Heather Gale of Boulder, Colo.; and four grandchildren.
