Robert B. Wilton

Robert B. Wilton, 74, who lived in Andover for several years before moving to Shidler, Okla. five years ago, died Friday, Sept. 29 at home.
Mr. Wilton owned and operated R&D Fabrication of Middleton before he retired.
He was born in Somerville, and attended Arlington schools and graduated from Boston University During World War II, Mr. Wilton served in the Army in the European Theatre.
Mr Wilton was active with the Rotary Clubs of Arlington, Wilmington, and Middleton. He served with the Rotary District Council for more than 26 years.
He was the widower of Edna M. (Marple) Wilton.
Members of his family include two sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce and Judy Wilton of Methuen, and Scott G. and Paula Wilton of Lawrence; two daughters, Roberta J. Wilton of Derry, N.H., and Robyn E. and her husband, William Holt of Merrimac; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Private family services are planned.

Rita A. Buckley

Rita A. (Surette) Buckley, 73, of Salisbury and formerly of Lawrence, died Tuesday, Oct. 3 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Born and educated in Andover, she graduated from Punchard High School.
Mrs. Buckley was an administrator for more than 20 years for several Merrimack Valley area banks, including Arlington Trust, Shawmut and then Fleet until she retired.
She was a member of St. Patrick Church in Lawrence and Star of the Sea Church in Salisbury, where she was also a member of the Guild of the Infant Savior.
Members of her family include her husband of 53 years, Timothy J. Buckley; five sons and daughters-in-law, Timothy J. and Laura Buckley of Salem, N.H., Kevin J. and Debra Buckley of Salisbury, Bernard M. and Rhonda Buckley of Amesbury, Joseph P. and Brenda Buckley of Chelmsford, and John T. and Laura Buckley of Amesbury; two sisters, Catherine Neville of Orlando, Fla., and Helen Reming of Haverhill; 12 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and several aunts, nieces and nephews.

Josephine D. Jamgochian

Josephine (Miner) Downey Jamgochian, 89, of Andover, died Saturday, Oct. 7 at Lawrence General Hospital.
Born and educated in Andover, Mrs. Jamgochian worked as a waitress at Levaggi's, Red Tavern, and Butcher Boy restaurants. She was a member of St. Augustine Church.
She was the widow of Edward Jamgochian.
Members of her family include two daughters and their husbands, Patricia and William Brown, and Janice and Hervey Bernard, all of Andover; a son, Jamie Downey of North Reading; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Stephen Flashenberg

Stephen Flashenberg, 56, of Andover, died Sunday, Oct. 8 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston from injuries he suffered after a fall at home Sept. 29.
Mr. Flashenberg was a attorney at Donoghue, Barrett & Singal.
Previously, he served as managing partner of Greenman, Grossman and Duffy in Boston, and special counsel to Rubin and Rudman LLP in Boston.
He was born and raised in Malden, and graduated from Malden High School in 1962.
He graduated from Columbia University School of Engineering and Applied Science in 1966 and Boston University School of Law in 1969.
He served as president of Temple Emanuel in Andover from 1991 to 1993. He also served on the executive board of Temple Emanuel and recently served as chairman of the building committee for the new addition to the temple.
He was an active member of the New England Aquarium Dive Club and also served on the New England Board of United American Hebrew Congregations.
Mr. Flashenberg was a contributing editor for the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education Inc. publication of the eighth edition of Crocker's Notes on Common Forms. He also lectured on mortgage foreclosure procedures in Massachusetts.
Members of his family include his wife, Harriet (Bresky) Flashenberg; a son, Craig Flashenberg of Miami, Fla.; a daughter, Debra Flashenberg of New York City; his mother, Ruth (Gesmer) Flashenberg of Malden; and a brother, Paul Flashenberg of San Diego, Calif.

Bishara C. Hajj

Bishara Charles Hajj, 84, formerly of Nashua, N.H. and Andover, died Sunday, Oct. 8 at Fairview Nursing Home in Hudson, N.H.
He was born in Lawrence and worked at L.C. Cyr and Manny J. Hajj construction companies. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 4.
Mr. Hajj was a member of St. Augustine Church in Andover.
Members of his family include his wife, Anita B. (Cloutier) Hajj of Nashua N.H.; daughters, Joyce Bryant of Orange County, Calif., Charlotte and husband, Paul Jackson, of Astoria, Ore., and Anita Marchand of Nashua, N.H.; sons, Ronald Hajj and wife Donna of Andover, Richard Ouellette and wife Valerie of Lowell, and Rev. Paul Ouellette of Florida; sisters, Adelle Hatem and Emily Grasso of Lawrence, and Helen Hajj and Effie Saba of Methuen; brothers George and James Hajj of Methuen, and Thomas Hajj of Andover; 20 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Frederick Allen Jr.

Frederick Allen Jr., 87, died Monday, Oct. 9 at an Andover nursing home.
Born in Lynn, he graduated from Lynn Classical High School in 1931 and from Harvard University in 1936.
Mr. Allen was assistant purchasing agent at MIT and C.S. Draper Laboratory from 1950 to 1978 when he retired. He was the supply contract administrator during the development of the guidance and navigation system for Project Apollo, which culminated in the manned spacecraft landing on the moon in August 1969.
He was a lifetime member of the National Association of Purchasing Managers. He was also a member of the National Model Railroad Association and the MIT and C.S. Draper Quarter Century Club.
Members of his family include a son and daughter-in-law, Frederick III and Irita Allen of Andover; a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Thomas Leonard of Boxford; a sister, Lillian Haywood of Lynnfield; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday, Oct. 13 at 1 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home of J.S. Waterman and Sons, 48 Lafayette Park, Lynn.
Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
Helen P. Bryant

Helen P. (Phillips) Bryant, 85, a resident of Mariner Health Center in Methuen, and formerly a longtime Andover resident, died Monday, Oct. 9 at Lawrence General Hospital.
She was born in Lawrence and graduated from Punchard High School and also from Boston Dental School in 1938. She worked as a clerk for John Hancock Insurance Co. in Boston, retiring in 1974.
Members of her family include three sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Kathleen Bryant of Windham, N.H., Harold and Fukuyo Bryant of Apex, N.C., and John and Brenda Bryant of West Yarmouth; six grandchildren; and one cousin.
There were no calling hours and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
