Fred J. Dearent, 93, died Tuesday, Oct. 17 at Academy Manor Nursing Home.
Mr. Dearent last worked as a printer at Tyer Rubber in Andover.
He was born in Lebanon and attended Lawrence schools.
He was the widower of Catherine (O'Grady) Dearent.
Family members include two sons, Buddy Dearent of Lawrence, and Richard and his wife Geraldine Dearent of Haines, Alaska; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was to be celebrated today, Thursday, Oct. 19 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church in Lawrence.
Burial will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Methuen.

Donald J. Poulin

Donald J. Poulin, 80, formerly of Andover, died Saturday, Oct. 21 at Sutton Hill Nursing Home in North Andover.
Born and educated in Waterville, Maine, Mr. Poulin taught electrical engineering part-time at Merrimack College, Northern Essex Community College and Northeastern University for many years.
He was a registered professional engineer and also worked as an electrical engineer for National Radio of Melrose and Malden. He retired from Kollsman Instrument of Merrimack, N.H., in 1985.
Mr. Poulin attended St. Augustine Church, where he taught CCD and was a lector for many years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, ROMEO Club of the North Shore, the QRA, and the Night Owls Radio Club of Massachusetts.
He was a past program chairman of the New England ARRL amateur radio convention, and was active with Andover Civil Defense Organization.
Mr. Poulin served in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War as an electronic technician's mate second class aboard the USS Delta, where he was a radio specialist. He was active in the American Legion Post 8 of Andover for many years. He enjoyed ham radio operating, spending time with friends and family, and camping.
Members of his family include his wife of 53 years, Alice A. (Cyr) Poulin; a daughter, Sharon Poulin of Andover; a son, Dennis D. and his wife, Beverley Poulin of Hollis, N.H.; three sisters, Juliette Frappier and Jean Tardiff, of Riverside, Calif., and Yvonne Gervais of Gardner, Maine; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Ann L. Belpedio

Ann L. (Krapiwnicki) Belpedio, 81, of Andover, died Saturday, Oct. 21 at her home.
Born in Bridgeport, Conn., Mrs. Belpedio was a member of St. Augustine Church. She was active in senior activities in Andover.
She was the widow of Vincent S. Belpedio.
Members of her family include her daughter and son-in-law, Arlene and Martin Solomon of Andover; two sons, Vincent Belpedio of Lawrence and Garry Belpedio of Hudson; a sister, Nellie Boncek of Bridgeport, Conn.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were by Burke Funeral Home, 390 N. Main St.
Funeral services were scheduled to be held today, Thursday, Oct. 26 in Bridgeport, with burial in St. Michael Cemetery in that city.

Brian P. O'Dell

Brian P. O'Dell, 35, who grew up in Andover and was a resident of Stow, died peacefully Saturday, Oct. 28 after a two-year battle his family described as courageous.
He was a portfolio manager and investment counselor with State Street Research & Management Co. of Boston. He graduated from Governor Dummer Academy, where he was co-captain of the both the varsity football and wrestling teams.
He received a bachelor of arts degree from Brown University and a master's degree in applied economics from the University of Michigan. O'Dell was a chartered financial analyst and specialized in providing investment counseling to professional athletes.
Members of his family include his wife, Rachel O'Dell; two sons, Ethan and Zackary O'Dell, all of Stow; his parents, Edward and Kerstin O'Dell of Andover; a brother, Thomas O'Dell of Sweden; and a sister, Dr. Christine Harrington of Newton.
Burial will be private.

Cornelia G. Meeker

Cornelia G. (Gale) Meeker, 86, of Bedford, N.H. and formerly of Andover, died Sunday, Oct. 29 at Ridgewood Center in Bedford, N.H.
She was born in Proctor, Vt.
She was the widow of Maurice S. Meeker.
Members of her family include two sons, Ted Meeker and his wife, Dee, of Rockport, and Charlie Meeker and his wife Janet, of Bedford, N.H.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held by the family. Cremation will take place at Linwood Crematory.

Helen Roberts

Helen (Babish) Roberts, 90, a resident of Wingate at Andover, formerly of the Old Center of North Andover for more than 50 years, died Wednesday, Oct. 25 at Lawrence General Hospital.
Mrs. Roberts was a stitcher for William Barry's Coat Co. in Lawrence, and was a receptionist for Dr. Atkinson in North Andover.
Born in Lawrence, she attended Lawrence and Methuen schools. She attended St. Michael Church in North Andover and made rosaries for Missions.
Members of her family include her brother, Walter Babish of California; a son and daughter-in-law, Norman J. and Anita Roberts of Lawrence and St. Petersburg, Fla.; two daughters, Joan M. Roberts of North Andover, and Norma and her husband, Donald Hurrell of Lawrence; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Eleanor Morin Tucker

Eleanor Morin Tucker, 87, of Essex, died Friday, Oct. 27 at home.
She was born in Ilion, N.Y. and graduated from Ilion High School. She earned a bachelor degree in chemistry from Smith College where she also received her master's degree in 1936. She later did graduate work at Columbia Teacher's College and Oxford University.
She was affiliated with Abbot Academy in Andover for 33 years. She joined the faculty as a chemistry and algebra teacher in 1936 and served as director of studies from 1956 to 1969. She was acting principal from 1966 to 1968.
She continued to teach chemistry until 1969, when following Abbot's merger with Phillips Academy, she left to become director of studies and headmistress at Winchester-Thurston in Pittsburgh, Penn.
She served as a camp counselor in Maine, New Jersey and Massachusetts for 15 years, and as dean of women at the Phillips Academy summer schools for three years. Her summers were spent in travel and study.
She was active in numerous professional education societies, as well as providing service to civic groups and her church. Upon her retirement, she moved to Essex and became involved with local organizations.
She served as a model to her friends and relations, gaining the admiration of those who knew her by her unflagging courage and consideration for others during a 15-year siege of debilitating illness.
Members of her family include her sister, Elizabeth (Tucker) Dise and her husband, William; a niece, Eleanor Ucasz and her husband John, all of Middleville, N.Y.; two nephews, John Dise and his wife Sue of Andover, and William Dise of California; and several grandnieces and grandnephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements were by the Whittier-Porter Funeral Home of Ipswich.
