Martha B. Scott, 86, of North Andover, died Wednesday, Nov. 29 at Edgewood Assisted Living.
She was a lifelong Christian Scientist and a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist in Andover.
She was born in Indianapolis, Ind. and formerly lived in Lawrence, Kansas, where her husband was a professor of Law at the University of Kansas.
Members of her family include her husband, William R. Scott of North Andover; a daughter, Susan (Scott) Wilner of Andover; and two granddaughters, Emily and Allison Wilner, both of Andover.

George S. Faris

George S. Faris, 90, of Newburyport, formerly of Andover and Seabrook, N.H., died Monday, Dec. 4 at Country Manor Nursing Center.
Born in Lawrence, Mr. Faris was raised and educated in Fort William, Ontario and Dier-el Kamer, Lebanon. After returning to this country he enrolled in Henry Ford Trade School in Detroit and worked as a tool and dye maker for Ford Motor Co.
Mr. Faris later worked for Jimmy's Taxi Co. of Lawrence, and founded Common Street Garage and Lawrence Parking Corp. in that city, retiring in 1989.
A lifelong parishioner of St. Anthony Maronite Catholic Church in Lawrence, Mr. Faris was a Eucharistic minister at St. Elizabeth Roman Catholic Church in Seabrook. He was a member of St. Anthony Holy Name Society, Lawrence Knights of Columbus Council 67, Central Catholic Men's Guild, Greater Lawrence Chamber of Commerce, the National Parking Association and the Valley Eagles.
Members of his family include his wife of 60 years, Helen M. (Bourges) Faris of Seabrook; two sons and their wives, William A. and Joyce E. Faris of Norman, Okla., and Christopher J. and Christina Faris of Richmond, Maine; a daughter, Barbara M. and husband David P. Prophet of Orrtanna, Pa.; a brother, Bechir Faris of Methuen; a sister, Victoria Kattar of Lawrence; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth R. Clark

Elizabeth R. (Orr) Clark, 85, of Andover, died Thursday, Dec. 7 at Academy Manor Nursing Home.
Mrs. Clark was a teacher in the original Mrs. Pike's School in Andover's Shawsheen section and the Methuen public school system. Before teaching, she worked in the office of the Arlington Mills. Born in Methuen, she graduated from Searles High School, and in 1936 from Lowell Teachers College.
She was a member of the Rainbow Club in her youth, and then, for the last 65 years, was in the Majority Club.
She was the widow of Wilbur T. Clark. Members of her family include five sons, W. Thomas and his wife Julie Clark of Georgetown, Texas, Lincoln and his wife Roberta Clark of Bradford, Daniel and his wife Jo Ann Clark of Derry, N.H., Wayne Clark of Andover, with whom she lived and who was her caregiver for the last 10 years, and Duncan and his wife Caroline Clark of Keller, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Edith and David Harris of Milford, N.H., and Louisa and Barry Burbank of North Andover; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

Richard L. Dubois

Richard L. Dubois, 62, of Andover died Thursday, Dec. 7 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.
Mr. Dubois retired as a section manager from Raytheon Co. in Waltham, where he worked for 40 years.
Born and educated in Lawrence, he graduated from Central Catholic High School. He also graduated from Lowell Tech.
Mr. Dubois served in the Coast Guard. He coached for the Little League and Youth Basketball League, both in Andover.
He was a member of the Raytheon Management Club.
Members of his family include his wife of 44 years, Cornelia (Foley) Dubois; four daughters and sons-in-law, Maureen and John Remillard of Chester, N.Y., Carole and Kevin Winning of Methuen, Judith and Robert Armstrong of Danville, N.H., and Laura and Kevin Fillion of Methuen; two sons, Richard L. Dubois Jr. of North Andover and Barry Dubois of Andover; a sister, Rachel Carroll of Methuen; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Alan R. Petty

Alan R. Petty, 71, of Atkinson, N.H., died Thursday, Dec. 7 at home.
Mr. Petty was production coordinator at New England Nuclear Co./Dupont before retiring in 1978. Before that, he taught high school chemistry for several years in Dade County, Florida.
He was born in the Ballardvale section of Andover and graduated from Punchard High School in 1947. He received a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Merrimack College in 1958.
Mr. Petty served in the Air Force for four years during the Korean War in the Air Weather Service.
Members of his family include two sons and daughters-in-law, David A. and Mary Lu Petty of Hampstead, N.H. and J. Scott and Claire Petty of New Orleans, La.; a daughter, Jean Petty of Scituate; a brother, John R. Petty of Andover; six grandchildren; two nephews; a niece; four grandnieces and grandnephews; and former wife Dolores (Walters) Petty of Hanover.

James A. Rourke

Dr. James A. Rourke, 73, of Andover, died Wednesday, Dec. 6 at Holy Family Hospital.
Dr. Rourke was the former chief of radiology at Lowell General Hospital for more than 20 years and was a staff radiologist at Massachusetts General Hospital. Later, he was a radiologist for Salem, N.H. Radiology.
Born and raised in Fitchburg, he graduated from Notre Dame University and Tufts University Medical School During the Korean War, he served in the Army Medical Corps as a captain.
Dr. Rourke completed an internship and assistant residency at Worcester City Hospital and a residency at University Hospitals at Ohio State University.
He was a member of American Medical Association, American Board of Radiology and Massachusetts Medical Society.
Members of his family include his wife of 47 years, Virginia K. (Kenny) Rourke; three sons, James F. Rourke of Lexington, Thomas A. Rourke of Sudbury, and Bryan J. Rourke of Providence, R.I.; a daughter, Carol R. Nohelty of Andover; a brother, the Rev. John C. Rourke of Sarasota, Fla.; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Sally J. Zipkin

Sally J. (Klein) Zipkin, 86, formerly of Andover, died Monday, Dec. 11 at Palm Manor Nursing Home in Chelmsford.
Mrs. Zipkin was born in Providence, R.I. and had lived in Worcester and Shrewsbury for 35 years. She moved to Andover 11 years ago.
She was a member of the Andover Seniors for several years.
She was the widow of Samuel Zipkin.
Members of her family include her daughter, Cindy DeMont and her husband, Paul; and two grandsons, Brad and Corey DeMont, all of Andover.
