Doris G. (Young) Wall

Doris G. (Young) Wall, 106, 0f Derry, N.H. died Monday Dec. 25, at the Integrated Health Services of Derry following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Birmingham, England on April 28, 1894, a daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Young. She received her teachers training and then completed midwifery school. Right after her marriage to Ernest A. Wall on March 24, 1919, they went to the Atlas Mountains in Algeria, Africa, as missionaries and ran a boys orphanage. Her son, Deryck Arthur Wall, was born there. She went home to England for the birth of her daughter Doris Yvonne. She moved to the United States in 1927 where her husband was finishing divinity school and getting his doctorate. He became the pastor of a Methodist church in Long Island. Their daughter Beryl Patricia was born there. They served churches in Long Island and Queens, N.Y., and in Connecticut until their retirement in 1958 to Lexington, Va. She moved to Andover in 1978, where her daughter Yvonne and son-in-law Robert Siggelkoe lived. When the Siggelkoes moved to Windham, N.H., she moved to live with them, until she had to go into the nursing home in December 1995.
Members of her family include a son and daughter-in-law Deryck and Janice Wall, of Governeur, N.Y.; two daughters and sons-in-law Yvonne and Robert Siggelkoe of Windham, N.H., Beryl and Tom Camper, of Buchanan, Va.; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Ernest A. Wall in 1975.
There will be no calling hours. Cremation will be at the South Church, Andover. Burial will be next to her husband in Buchanan, Va. Mikel E. Meehl, 46, of Lawrence, died Saturday, Dec. 23 at Lawrence General Hospital, surrounded by his family, following "a long, courageous battle with cancer," they said.
Born in Lewiston, Maine, he was educated in Sabattus, Maine, schools and graduated from Andover High in 1972.
Following high school, he attended Northern Essex Community College. He was a member of the Optimist Club of Lewiston. He worked several years as a heavy-equipment operator for Local Union 4 in Boston until 1989. He enjoyed his family and especially his daughter, and was always giving to others.
Members of his family include his wife, Faye A. Linscott of Lawrence; daughter, Felicia Tamulevich of North Andover; mother, Carolyn Meehl of Lewiston; sisters, Susan Poussard and her husband Donald of Monmouth, Maine, and Karen Sleeper of Andover; brothers, Daniel and his wife Kathleen, of Lewiston, and Timothy and his wife Michelle, of Monmouth, Maine; and several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Arrangements were by The Fortin Group Family of Funeral Homes, Turner and Center streets, Route 4, Auburn.

Catherine B. Howe, 87, of Lawrence and formerly of Andover, died Monday, Dec. 25 at Lawrence General Hospital.
She worked as a cook at Phillips Academy for 22 years and was a member of the St. Augustine Church in Andover.

Margaret A. (Grecoe) Gordon, 67, of Andover, died Saturday, Dec. 30 at home.
Mrs. Gordon was born in St. Johnsbury, Vt. and graduated from Punchard High School in 1951 and from Boston University School of Fine Arts.
She was the widow of attorney Edward A. Gordon.
Members of her family include her stepchildren, Priscilla Harden and her husband John of Flagstaff, Ariz, Marion "Meg" Rondo of Winchester, Miriam "Kate" of Prescott, Ariz., and Sara Gore of Los Angeles, Calif.; brothers, John H. Grecoe Jr. of Andover; Daniel Grecoe of Tewksbury, and Barry D. Grecoe of Salem, N.H.; sister, Julianna Grecoe of Andover; one granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass will be celebrated today, Thursday, Jan. 4 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Augustine Church. Cremation will take place at Linwood Crematory. There are no calling hours.

William James "Bill" Keith, 77, of Virginia Beach, Va. and formerly of Andover, died Monday, Dec. 18 in Virginia.
Born in Andover, he served in the Navy during World War II, and he worked as a treasurer and manager of the Virginia Beach Postal Credit Union for 25 years. He also worked as a supervisor for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a former deacon at the Lynnhaven Presbyterian Church and attended Thalia Lynn Baptist Church.
Members of his family include his wife of 55 years, Gladys M. Keith of Virginia Beach; a son, Andrew M. and his wife Grace of Crawfordville, Fla.; daughters, Linda K. Smith, Judith M. K. Wells and her husband Ralph, and Ginger K. Boetcher and her husband Ray, all of Virginia Beach; sisters, Dorothy Gordon of Lawrence, and Joan Logan of Andover; a brother, Hector Keith of Orlando, Fla.; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Ann H. (DiFranco) Aloisi, 73, of Andover and formerly of Somerville and Tewksbury, died Wednesday, Dec. 27, at home.
Born in Somerville, Mrs. Aloisi graduated from Somerville High School in 1945 and attended business college in Boston. She worked as an administrator in the medical records department at Tewksbury Hospital. She attended St. Augustine Church.
Members of her family include her husband of 53 years, Mario "Mike" J. Aloisi; daugthers, Kathleen Ercolini and husband Robert and Christine Lacey and husband John, all of North Andover; a brother, Victor DiFranco of Somerville; sisters, Elena Ames of Maine and Caroline DiZio and Marie Mucci, both of Arlington; several grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Anita O. (DeFelice) Arnault, 71, of Lowell Street, died Wednesday, Dec. 27 at home after a long illness.
She was born in Lynn and graduated from Saugus High School. She later graduated from Wilfred Academy Hairdressing School in Boston.
She lived in Lawrence and Salem, N.H. before moving to Andover in 1992.
She worked as a tax examiner with the Internal Revenue Service for eight years. She was active in the Salem, N.H., Garden Club.
She was the widow of Ernest F. Arnault.
Members of her family include a son, John Arnault of Salem, N.H; daughters, Lee Gibson of Andover and Jean Howes of Fort Collins, Colo; sister, Norma Bernard of Saugus; brother, Robert Picariello of Greenfield; and three grandchildren.

Loretta "Auntie Dera" (Atkinson) Knorr, 91, formerly of Methuen, died Sunday, Dec. 31 at Academy Manor.
Mrs. Knorr was born and educated in Lawrence. She graduated from Lawrence High School and lived her entire life in the greater Lawrence area.
She worked in local textile mills and later worked as a layout operator at ITT Electronic in Lawrence, from which she retired.
She was the widow of Fred Knorr.
Members of her family include nieces and nephews, Carol Ross and husband Anthony of Methuen, Geraldine Gibson and her husband William of Pelham, N.H., Edward Connolly of Lawrence, Kathleen Blanchette and her husband Ronnie of Pelham, Mark Ross of Newburyport, Michael Ross of Leesburg, Fla., Kelley Ross-Lombardo, James Ross, Christopher Ross, and Sandra Pappalardo, all of Methuen.

Ann (Guscora) Marudzinski, 78, of Juniper Road, died Monday, Jan. 1 at Holy Family Hospital.
Mrs. Marudzinski was a retired employee of Western Electric Co., now Lucent Technologies, in North Andover.
She was born in Newton, N.H. and graduated from Newton schools. She lived in the Andover area for the past 55 years.
She was a member of the Pioneers of America.
She was the widow of Daniel Marudzinski.
Members of her family include a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and William Keefe of Errol, N.H.; two granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are scheduled for today, Thursday, Jan. 4 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Racicot Funeral Home, 256 Broadway, Lawrence.
A Mass will be celebrated tomorrow, Friday, Jan. 5 at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church, Lawrence. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.
