Helen R. Blake, 102, died Saturday, March 3 at Sutton Hill Retirement Center in North Andover.
She was born in Elmira, N.Y. After leaving New York, she lived in Providence, R.I., Brookline and Andover.
Ms. Blake was one of the first women to work as an insurance agent with Equitable Insurance Co. in Boston.
She was a member of Congregational Church in Rhode Island, where she also sang in the choir.
A memorial service will take place at Sutton Hill Retirement Center at a time to be announced.
Kenneth P. Nassiff

Kenneth P. Nassiff, 53, of Derry, N.H. and formerly of Lawrence and Andover, died from heart complications Monday, March 19 at Beth Israel-Deaconess Hospital in Boston.
Mr. Nassiff was a radar technician at Raytheon Co. in Andover for 33 years.
Born in Fall River, he graduated from Lawrence High School in 1965. He received an associate's degree from Northern Essex Community College and a bachelor's degree in business administration from New Hampshire College in Manchester, N.H.
During the Vietnam era, Mr. Nassiff served in the Navy aboard the USS Newman K. Perry, achieving the rank of first petty officer.
He attended St. Anthony Maronite Catholic Church in Lawrence.
He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, American Legion Post in Andover, Lawrence Lodge of Elks, and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 1505, where he was a former chief steward.
Members of his family include his wife, Ann M. (Tellier) Nassiff; sons Jeffrey P. and David F. Nassiff, both of Derry; mother, Lucy (Shantery) Nassiff, and sister, Cynthia Ashton, both of Andover; one niece; and one nephew.
Calling hours are tomorrow, Friday, March 23 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Farrah Funeral Home, 170 Lawrence St., Lawrence.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 24 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Maronite Catholic Church in Lawrence.
Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery, Methuen.
Blanche F. Gardner

Blanche F. Gardner, 94, of Cheever Circle, formerly of Methuen, died Wednesday, March 14.
Mrs. Gardner owned and operated the Wonder Bar, a popular night spot at the corner of Lowell and Broadway in Lawrence 25 years until she retired in 1965.
She was also associated with Quality Brands and Harvard Brewing Co.
She was born and educated in Lawrence.
Mrs. Gardner was a volunteer for the Red Cross for several years. She was also a Lady Elk in the Lawrence Lodge for several years.
She was a member of St. Augustine Church.
She was the widow of Bert "Hatch" Gardner.
Members of her family include her daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Donald Kyle of Peabody; sister, Rita Bergeron of Methuen; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also mother of the late Roger J. Denis and Irene Rappaport.
Arrangements were by Cataudella Funeral Home, 126 Pleasant Valley St., Methuen.
Beatrice H. Henderson

Beatrice H. Henderson, 93, of Andover, died Monday, March 26 at the Prescott House in North Andover.
Born in Andover, she grew up on Red Spring Road in Andover. A lifelong resident of Andover, she graduated from Punchard High School in 1926.
Ms. Henderson was a member of South Church, and had the longest tenure of membership at the church. She was a member of Andover Chapter 187, Order of Eastern Star.
Members of her family include her sister-in-law, Edna Henderson of Salem, N.H.; two nieces; one nephew; and dear friend, John Connelly of Andover.

Belinda Mortimer

Belinda (Peard) Mortimer, 90, of Jenkins Road, died Friday, March 23 at Hannah Duston Nursing Home in Haverhill.
Born and educated in Wakefield, she graduated from Wakefield High School.
Mrs. Mortimer worked for John Hancock Insurance Co. in Boston for several years.
She was a member of Free Christian Church and served as deaconess. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Andover, North Reading Grange and the Farm Bureau Association.
Mrs. Mortimer and her husband owned and operated a mink ranch in Andover for several years. She was also active in the Fruit Growers Association and the Bee Keepers of Essex County.
She was the widow of A. Reginald Mortimer.
Members of her family include her daughter, Barbara Mortimer Peterson of Haverhill; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also mother of the late Joan Mortimer Raza.

Barbara (Ryan) Stamas, 68, of Virginia Road, died Thursday, March 22 at Lawrence General Hospital.
Born in Pittsfield, she graduated from St. Joseph's High School in Pittsfield in 1950 and from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst in 1954.
She was a member of St. Augustine Church.
Members of her family include her husband, James T. Stamas; sons and daughters-in-law T.J. and Kimberly Stamas, and James D. and Susan Stamas, all of Andover; daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Alexander Pratt of North Andover; brother Thomas Ryan of Champagne, Ill.; and five grandchildren.

Dorothy M. (Gee) Coates, 69, of Andover, died Thursday, March 22 at Lawrence General Hospital.
Born in Cambridge, Mrs. Coates worked at Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. for 15 years as a claim supervisor. An avid reader, she enjoyed traveling and spending quality time with her family and grandchildren.
Members of her family include her husband, Howard M. Coates; a daughter, Janet M. Coates of Dracut; sons, H. Myles and wife Martha J. Coates of Methuen, and Steven M. Coates of Andover; sister, Lorraine Sidabras of Cambridge; brother, Paul Mandakas of Malden; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
