CENTERVILLE - RV Wood III, 63, a former machine programmer, died Tuesday at Cape Cod Hospital, Hyannis. He was the husband of Sandra (Mouhat) Wood. Mr. Wood was born and educated in Adams. He moved to Centerville in the early 1970s. Mr. Wood served in the Navy during the Korean War. He worked as an apprentice in the ordnance division of General Electric in Pittsfield for 15 years. After moving to the Cape, he worked as a machine programmer for Packaging Industries in Hyannis. In 1978 he began work as a machine programmer for Methods Inc. in Sudbury. He retired in March 1996. Mr. Wood was a life member of Cheshire Rod & Gun Club. He loved hunting and fishing. Surviving besides his wife are three sons, David M. Wood of Barnstable, Bruce A. Wood of Brainard, N.Y., and Daniel E. Wood of Troy, Mich; two brothers, Simeon Wood of Cheshire and Peter Wood of Riverside, Calif.; a sister, Elizabeth Trudeau of Cheshire; and four grandchildren. Former Orleans resident; native of Boston
TRUMBULL, Conn. - Evelyn D. Flynn, 90, a former resident of East Orleans, died Monday at Norwalk Hospital, Norwalk. She was the wife of William A. Flynn. Born in Boston, Mrs. Flynn lived in North Andover and East Orleans before moving to Trumbull. Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Kallaugher of Westminster, Md.; four sons, Dr. Thomas G. Flynn of New Canaan, Dr. William E. Flynn of McLean, Va., Robert J. Flynn of Kennesaw, Ga., and Terence P. Flynn of Little Silver, N.J.; 30 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Visiting hours are 6 to 9 p.m. today in the Hoyt Funeral Home, New Canaan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. tomorrow in St. Aloysius Church, New Canaan. Peter S. White, 48
Telephone lineman; Navy veteran; D-Y High graduate
BREWSTER - Peter Sherburne White, 48, a Hyannis native who served three tours of duty in the Vietnam War, died yesterday at his home after a brief illness. He was the husband of Ellen J. Puckett. Mr. White was born in Hyannis and graduated from Dennis-Yarmouth High School in 1966. He served with the Navy from 1967 until being honorably discharged in 1973. Mr. White most recently was employed by Nynex as a lineman in South Yarmouth. Before that he worked for Cablevision in South Yarmouth and Hudson Eldridge Roofing Co., installing roofs throughout Cape Cod. Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Casey W. Puckett of Brewster and Sarah E. White of South Yarmouth; a son, Joshua F. White of Yarmouth; his parents, Edward White Jr. of West Barnstable and Ley Morse of Boscawen, N.H.; two sisters, Katherine W. Cotto of Yarmouthport and Lucinda W. Slade of Yarmouth; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow in St. David's Episcopal Church, 205 N. Former secretary, teacher; longtime Pocasset resident
BOURNE - Elizabeth Marie O'Donnell, 81, a longtime Pocasset resident and retired teacher, died yesterday at Bourne Manor Extended Care Facility. She was the wife of Edward F. O'Donnell, who died in 1995. Mrs. O'Donnell was born and raised in Boston. She graduated from Emmanuel College with a bachelor's degree in 1937. Mrs. O'Donnell also graduated from Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School in Boston. She worked as a secretary for Stone & Webster Co. in Boston for many years. Mrs. O'Donnell later worked for attorney John Murphy in Boston for several years. She taught kindergarten in Dorchester for several years, retiring in 1972. Mrs. O'Donnell moved to Hen's Cove in Pocasset in 1975 after having summered there for many years. She was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in Pocasset and a member of its 55 and Over Group. Surviving are a daughter, Elizabeth E. Downey of Lee, N.H.; a sister, Doris Morgan of Manchester, N.H.; a brother, Paul Vatter of Belmont; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. HARWICH - Josephine G. Bockover, 93, a former Florida resident and longtime Harwich resident, died June 18 at Cranberry Pointe Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Elliot Chase and Frederick Bockover. Mrs. Bockover was born in New Bedford and lived in Tavares, Fla., for 31 years before moving to Harwich in 1981. She was a member of the First Congregational Church in Harwich. Surviving are a stepdaughter, Marion Ford of Harwich; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services are private.

Charles A. Delorey, 37
Worked as stable hand; enjoyed bowling, bicycling
BUZZARDS BAY - Charles A. Delorey, 37, a stable hand at Grazing Fields Farm in Buzzards Bay, died Sunday at his home. He was the husband of Susan A. (Robbins) Delorey. Mr. Delorey was born in Brockton, where he graduated from high school in 1979. He lived in Brockton most of his life, moving to Buzzards Bay three years ago. He had been a self-employed farm worker before working at Grazing Fields. Mr. Delorey enjoyed candlepin bowling at Ryan Family Amusements in Buzzards Bay and loved riding bicycles. He was a member of St. Peter's on the Canal Episcopal Church in Buzzards Bay. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Brenda Jeanne Delorey of Buzzards Bay; his parents, Arthur and Barbara Delorey of Brockton; his grandmother, Gladys VanAmburg of Melrose; three sisters, Jill Constantine of Wilmington, Del., Samantha Gaspar of Carver, and Patrice Hatcher of Ocala, Fla.; three brothers, John Delorey of Thousand Oaks, Calif., Mitchell Delorey of Holbrook, and Richard Delorey of Carver; 13 nieces and nephews; and a great-niece. Former Dennis summer resident; dress shop owner
WRENTHAM - Zoe M. Dudemaine, 99, a former West Dennis summer resident, died Monday at the Maples Convalescent Home. She was the wife of the late Eugene Dudemaine. Mrs. Dudemaine was born in Attleboro and founded the former Milady's Dress Shoppe of Attleboro. She lived in Attleboro until selling the shop in 1945 and then moved to Newton. She opened another Milady's Dress Shoppe there and operated it until 1952. She is survived by a son, Eugene Dudemaine of North Attleboro; a daughter, Avis Qvarnstrom of Kentucky; a sister, Ann Hoey of North Attleboro; three grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. There will be a private funeral at the family's convenience.

Ruth M.N. Grier, 92
Connecticut state worker; Episcopal church member
OAK BLUFFS - Ruth Margaret Nowlin Grier, 92, a retired state of Connecticut employee, died Monday at Martha's Vineyard Hospital. She was the wife of Theodore J. Grier, who died in 1991. Mrs. Grier was born in Washington, D.C., and lived in Waterbury, Conn., for more than 85 years. She lived with one daughter in Raleigh, N.C., and Oak Bluffs and most recently with another daughter in Oak Bluffs. Mrs. Grier was retired from the state of Connecticut as an assistant at the Home for Retarded Children. In Raleigh, N.C., she was a member of the Golden Age Club of the YWCA and of the St. Ambrose Episcopal Church. Mrs. Grier participated for many summers in various activities at the Oak Bluffs Senior Center. Surviving are two daughters, Verna G. Lamb of Raleigh, N.C., and Oak Bluffs and Janice Grier Taylor of Oak Bluffs and Escondido, Calif.; a brother, William Nowlin of Silver Spring, Md.; two grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a nephew. Charles E. Phillips, 73
Retired Air Force major served in three wars
BOURNE - Charles Elsworth Phillips, 73, a retired Air Force major and veteran of three wars, died Tuesday at his home. He was the husband of Wilma E. (Edsell) Phillips. Mr. Phillips was born in Sterling, Ohio. He entered the Army Air Corps in 1943 and served in World War II and in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He retired as an Air Force major in 1967. Mr. Phillips then moved to Bourne and worked as a self-employed cabinet maker. A longtime Mason, he was a member of the Sutton Commandery No. 16 in New Bedford, the New Bedford Council R&SM, the Wareham Royal Arch Chapter, the Metacomet Daylight Lodge and the Shriners. Mr. Phillips belonged to the World War II Hawthorne Pilot Training Association. At the time of his death, he was in the process of building a light aircraft at his home. Surviving besides his wife are a daughter, Gayle E. Lewis of Plymouth; two sons, James K. Phillips of Oceanside, Calif., and William T. Phillips of Pocasset; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 8:45 p.m. Saturday at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd., Bourne. Rodney C. Powers, 83
Insurance agency partner; World War II Army veteran
BRAINTREE - Rodney C. Powers, 83, a retired insurance agency partner and a World War II Army captain who leaves a brother in Hyannisport, died Monday at Elihu White Nursing Home after a short illness. He was the husband of Jane (Shute) Powers. Mr. Powers was born in Wollaston. He was educated at Thayer Academy in Braintree, Braintree High School and Nichols College in Dudley. He was an insurance agent and a partner in C.A. Powers and Sons of Boston and Randolph. Mr. Powers was a member of the Boston Chamber of Commerce and the Massachusetts Brokers Association and vice president of The Massachusetts Independent Insurance Agents Association. He was appointed the first commanding officer of the Braintree National Guard. A resident of Braintree for most of his life, Mr. Powers was a town meeting member for many years and a member of the town study committee. He was chairman of the March of Dimes, past president of All Soul Men's Club, a communicant of Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Braintree and a member of the Neighborhood Club of Quincy. A golf lover, he was a past member of Braintree Golf Course, Milton Hoosic Club of Canton and Bald Peak Colony Club in Melvin Village, N.H. Surviving besides his wife are a son, Rodney C. Powers Jr. of Abington; a daughter, Susan J. Austin of Duxbury; two brothers, Charles A. Powers of Hyannisport and James H. Pope of Hingham; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one niece; and four nephews. Leaves son in Harwich; Connecticut social worker
WATERBURY, Conn. - Rita A. (Corden) Riley, 82, who leaves a son in Harwich, died Monday at her home. She was the wife of the late Michael J. Riley. A lifelong resident of Waterbury, Mrs. Riley graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Waterbury and Marywood College in Scranton, Pa. For many years, she was a social worker for the state of Connecticut, and retired in 1979. She was a member of the American Association of University Women, the Sacred Heart Church altar and rosary society in Waterbury, and the St. Mary's Hospital women's auxiliary, also in Waterbury. She was a longtime volunteer for St. Mary's Hospital and for the American Red Cross. She leaves four sons, John B. and Michael J. Riley, both of Prospect, Thomas V. Riley of Waterbury and William J. Riley of Harwich; three daughters, Mary C. Riley of Waterbury, Rita Callahan of Westbrook, and Ann T. Riley of Oxford; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Oil company manager; chaired Sandwich committee
SANDWICH - Donald Paul Burke, 56, regional manager of a Boston oil company, died Tuesday at the JML Care Center, Falmouth. He was the husband of Jeanne M. Burke. Mr. Burke was born and raised in Boston. He graduated from Northeastern University and worked for United Electric Controls from 1959 to 1971. From 1971 until the time of his death, Mr. Burke was the regional manager of Buckley & Scott, a Boston retail oil company. He lived in Boston for many years before moving to Milford. He lived in Milford for eight years before moving to Sandwich in 1982. Mr. Burke was a member of Corpus Christi Parish Center in Sandwich and served on the Sandwich Finance Committee from 1987 to 1994. From 1991 to 1994 he was the chairman of the committee. Mr. Burke also was involved with the New England Fuel Institute and the Massachusetts Oil Heat Council. EASTHAM - Richard J. Vander May Sr., 81, a retired Eastham businessman and World War II Army veteran, died Wednesday at Cape Cod Hospital, Hyannis. He was the husband of Antoinette (Struck) Vander May. Mr. Vander May was born and educated in Little Falls, N.J. He attended Drake Business School in Montclair, N.J. He worked in his family's business, Little Falls Laundry in Little Falls, until moving to Eastham in 1952. He then owned and operated the former Whispering Pines Village cottages and the Eastham Travel Agency. Mr. Vander May was past president of the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce and past director of First National Bank of Cape Cod. He was a member of the Eastham Board of Trade, the Eastham Handbook Committee, the Nauset school committee. He also was a member of Orleans Federated Church. Mr. Vander May enjoyed traveling and reading. Surviving besides his wife are a son, Richard J. Vander May Jr. of Atlanta; two daughters, Judy A. Vander May of Eastham and Linda Lee Gregg of Rocky Mountain, N.C.; a sister, Julia Jamieson of Atlanta and Dennis; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Member of church choir; enjoyed art, volunteering
SOUTH DENNIS - Alan Linwood Foster, 63, died Wednesday at his home. He was the husband of Mary Brewster Cote Foster. Mr. Foster was born in Middleboro and in 1955 graduated from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. In 1977 he received a master's degree in education from the University of Hartford. Mr. Foster lived in Portland, Maine, Avon, Conn., and Franklin before moving to South Dennis. He served in the Navy from 1957 to 1958 and in the Navy Reserves from 1958 to 1968. Mr. Foster worked for Aetna Life & Casualty Company from 1959 to 1992 after having worked with Unites States Lines from 1955 to 1957. He retired in 1992. Mr. Foster was an active member of Our Lady of the Cape Church, serving as a Eucharistic minister and singing in the choir. He enjoyed doing art work and volunteered in local nursing homes. Surviving besides his wife are four daughters, Catharine Zakahi, Carole Foster, Mary Hagidimitriou and Maureen Smith; three sons, Alan Foster, Philip Foster and John Foster; a brother, Dana Welch; two sisters, Susan Swart and Cynthia Owen; and 11 grandchildren. WEST CHATHAM - Mary E. (Mooney) Mueller, 83, died Wednesday at her home in West Chatham. She was the wife of William H. Mueller, who died in 1993. Mrs. Mueller was born and raised in Pakenham, Ontario, Canada. She lived in Huntington, Long Island, N.Y., and Chatham, N.J., before moving to West Chatham in 1981. She was a part-time resident of Chatham since the early 1960s. Mrs. Mueller was a communicant at Holy Redeemer Church in Chatham. While living in New Jersey, she volunteered at Overlook Hospital in Summit, N.J. She was an avid player of bridge and cribbage, and enjoyed knitting and baking. Surviving are two sons, Jon A. Mueller of Saratoga, N.Y., and William R. Mueller of Milford, N.J.; a daughter, Christine M. Gensert of Nashville, Tenn.; a sister, Anne Kidd of Bonners Ferry, Idaho; seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She also was the mother of the late Jean Ann Harrower. HYANNISPORT - James A. Walsh Jr., 62, died yesterday at Cape Cod Hospital, Hyannis, after a brief illness. Born and raised in Boston, he graduated from St. Sabastian's School and attended Boston University. Mr. Walsh lived in Albany, N.Y., and worked in the restuarant business for several years. He also was a self-employed driver. He moved to Hyannisport in 1977. Mr. Walsh was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church and a former member of the Hyannis Elks Lodge and the Marblehead Elks. COTUIT - Margaret (Souza) Souza, 78, a retired secretary and bookkeeper, died Wednesday at Falmouth Hospital. She was the wife of the late Alvin R. Souza. Mrs. Souza was born in New Bedford and was a lifelong resident of the Santuit section of Cotuit. She graduated from Barnstable schools. She worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for the former V.H. Nickerson Plumbing and Heating Co. in Cotuit for 37 years, retiring in 1990. Mrs. Souza was a communicant and a Eucharistic minister of Christ the King parish in Mashpee. She belonged to the its women's guild and craft group. Mrs. Souza was a member of the Holy Ghost Society of Cotuit and Santuit. She loved crafts, knitting and crocheting. Surviving are a daughter, Eva Murphy of Santuit; a sister, Antone M. Souza of Mashpee; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Florence Rushton, 81
Episcopal church member; liked to crochet, garden
SOUTH YARMOUTH - Florence M. Rushton, 81, died Wednesday at Cape Cod Hospital, Hyannis. She was the wife of the late John C. Rushton. Mrs. Rushton was born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to West Barnstable in 1978. She moved to South Yarmouth in 1980. Mrs. Rushton was a longtime member of St. Luke's and St. Matthew's Episcopal churches in Brooklyn, N.Y. She enjoyed crocheting and gardening. Surviving are three sons, John C. Rushton of Utica, N.Y., James W. Rushton of Brooklyn and Robert E. Rushton of Brooklyn; two daughters, Dolores Catapano of Staten Island, N.Y. and Florence Rushton of Huntington Staion, Long Island, N.Y.; three brothers, James Madero of San Diego, Calif., Domenick Madero of San Gabriel, Calif. and John Madero of Garden City Park, N.Y.; 26 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. Visiting hours are 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, Hyannis. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. tomorrow in St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Barnstable. Henry Datel, 65
Czech immigrant; veteran; owned Cape taxi company
SANDWICH - Henry Joseph Datel, 65, former owner of Mid-Cape Taxi, died Wednesday at his home. Born in the Czech Republic, he immigrated to the United States in 1955. An Air Force veteran, Mr. Datel lived in Sandwich for 30 years. He owned Mid-Cape Taxi in Hyannis for five years, retiring in 1996. Before that he owned a home improvement business in Hyannis. Surviving are a brother, Petr H. Datl of South Dennis; a nephew, Petr Datl of Sandwich; and a niece, Miluse Datl of Sandwich. Services are private. Alicia Reynolds, 89
Cape hospital volunteer; former assistant comptroller
WEST YARMOUTH - Alicia Louise Reynolds, 89, a retired assistant comptroller, died Wednesday at her home. She was the wife of Harry J. Reynolds, who died in 1996, for 67 years. Mrs. Reynolds was born in New Orleans, La., and moved to New York City as a young girl. She graduated from high school in New York City and worked for Columbia University for 30 years. Mrs. Reynolds also worked for Hofstra University as a assistant comptroller for 18 years, retiring in 1968. She moved to Yarmouth with her husband in 1972. Mrs. Reynolds was a volunteer at Cape Cod Hospital for many years. Surviving is a cousin, Elizabeth N. Herkenham of New York City. Genevieve E. Frey, 93
Insurance company secretary; former Yarmouth resident
CENTER MORICHES, N.Y. - Genevieve E. Frey, 93, a retired secretary, formerly of South Yarmouth, died Tuesday at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital in Brookhaven, N.Y. She was the wife of Albert F. Frey, who died in 1976. Mrs. Frey was born in Queens and graduated from Bryant High School there in 1921. She worked as a secretary for the Equitable Life Insurance Co. in Manhattan for 35 years. Mrs. Frey moved from Queens to Great River in 1957, and to South Yarmouth in 1968. She returned to Long Island in 1994 to live in Center Moriches. She loved to play golf. Surviving are two sons, Edward P. Frey of Westhampton Beach, N.Y., and Albert P. Frey of Wrentham, Mass.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one nephew. Burial will be tomorrow in Pinelawn Memorial Park, Pinelawn, N.Y.

George R. Zupko, 67
Former New Jersey teacher, administrator; Army veteran
BARNSTABLE - George R. Zupko, 67, a former assistant schools superintendent, died Monday at Cape Cod Hospital, Hyannis. He was the husband of Helen (Hafanec) Zupko. Mr. Zupko was born in Perth Amboy, N.J., and lived there most of his life before moving to Barnstable. He graduated from Perth Amboy High School in 1948 and William &Mary College, where he was the captain of the varsity football team. Mr. Zupko was an Army veteran of the Korean War and recipient of the Bronze Star. He began teaching seventh grade in 1954 and in 1960 became director of guidance at Perth Amboy High. He became the school's principal in 1972 and was appointed assistant superintendent of schools in 1981. In 1981, the Perth Amboy High School gymnasium was named in his honor. Mr. Zupko was a member of the board of directors of the Kiwanis Club and the Perth Amboy Public Library. He worked on various committees for the city and served as vice chairman of the Middlesex County (N.J.) mental health board. Mr. Zupko was a former president of the Middlesex County Guidance Council and served on the advisory board for the Middlesex County College School of Nursing. In 1992 he was awarded the Roberto Clemente Special Award from the Puerto Rican Association for Human Development. Surviving besides his wife of 47 years are two daughters, Karin Zupko of Barnstable and Aimee Angeli of Squantum; a sister, Beatrice Vargo of Perth Amboy; and two nephews. He was the father of the late Sharon Zupko. The funeral will form at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow at the Flynn&Son Funeral Home, Perth Amboy.

Giuseppe Allia, 75
Served in Italian army; longtime laborer in Waltham
WALTHAM - Giuseppe Allia, 75, a longtime Waltham resident, died at Deaconess Waltham Hospital Saturday. He was born in Ucria, Italy, and served with the Italian army in World War II. He had lived in Waltham since 1954 and worked as a laborer for the Local 560 until his retirement. Surviving are his wife, Caterina (Mose) Allia; two daughters, Josephine Gaudet and Rita Levesque, both of Waltham; three sons, Gino of Framingham and Peter and Antonio Allia of Waltham; a brother, Salvatore Allia of Dennis; a sister and stepsisters in Italy; and two grandsons. The funeral in Waltham will form at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the Brasco and Sons Memorial, 773 Moody St., followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at Sacred Heart Church, 311 River St., and burial in Mount Feake Cemetery. Edwin S. Mycock, 81
Retired attorney; decorated World War II Army veteran
CENTERVILLE - Edwin Stanley Mycock, 81, a retired attorney and decorated veteran of World War II, died Saturday at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was the husband of Sharon Stites Mycock. Mr. Mycock was born in Fall River and lived in Somerset during his early years. He was a 1933 grad-uate of Somerset High School, where he served as class president and lettered in basketball, baseball and football. He was captain of the basketball team in his junior and senior years in high school. In 1991, he was inducted into the Somerset High School Athletic Hall of Fame. He was a graduate of Northeastern University and was admitted to the Massachusetts bar in 1940. He practiced with Rachmann, Sawyer and Brewster in Boston before enlisting in the Army in 1942. In September 1944, Mr. Mycock was assigned to the 100th Division, 397th Infantry Cannon Company in France as executive officer and became company commander one month later. He was responsible for the capture of 18 German soldiers who he surprised in eastern France. A short time later, he took command of an infantry platoon that had lost its officers. While leading troops into a small town, he was hit by enemy fire on Nov. 22, 1944, and was awarded the Purple Heart. After his injury, he was transferred to Camp Edwards in March 1945 and retired as captain and settled on Cape Cod. He practiced law in Hyannis from 1946 until he retired in 1985. He was a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Barnstable County Bar Association, as well as a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge of Cotuit. Mr. Mycock was a winter resident of Naples, Fla., for many years. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Frederick C. Mycock and Ronald J. Mycock of Cotuit; a stepson, Charles J. MacEacheron of Hyannis; a brother, Arnold W. Mycock of Cotuit; two sisters, Evelyn G. Blackledge and Phyllis Murray Dwelly, both of Somerset; and four grandchildren. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. tomorrow in the Mosswood Cemetery in Cotuit. Elizabeth B. Pate, 75
Homemaker, mother; avid gardener, church member
CENTERVILLE - Elizabeth B. (McKie) Pate, 75, died July 14 at her home in Centerville after a long illness. She was the wife of Alexander Pate, who died in 1977. Mrs. Pate was born, raised and educated in Dunaskin, Scotland. She moved to Harwich Port in 1950 and then to Centerville in 1964. A homemaker and mother, she was an avid gardener and was a member of the Osterville Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Stuart C. Pate of Sheffield; two brothers, Frank McKie of Kilmarnock, Scotland, and Hugh McKie of Toronto Ontario, Canada; two sisters, Agnes McKie of Houston, Scotland, and Mary Dougan of Ayr, Scotland; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Aug. 11 at the Osterville Baptist Church on Main Street in Osterville. Burial will follow in Beechwood Cemetery. Paul Morin, 56
Veteran; property manager; enjoyed fishing, carpentry
MARSTONS MILLS - Paul R. Morin, 56, died Friday at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston after a brief illness. He was the husband of Marybeth (Harmon) Morin. Mr. Morin was born in New Bedford and raised there and in Boston. He moved to Osterville in 1986 and then to Marstons Mills in 1993. During the late 1950s he served in the Navy. He then worked as a service manager for two different car deal-erships in the Boston area during the 1960s and early 1970s. In the mid-1970s Mr. Morin worked for a real estate company in the Boston area as a property manager and became property manager at the Harbor Towers in Boston in the early 1980s. Late in the 1980s he became property manager for White Cliffs in Plymouth, and since 1989 he had been property manager for the Yarmouth Condominiums in South Yarmouth. Mr. Morin enjoyed fishing, boating, carpentry and woodworking. He was a past member and director of the Massachusetts Motor Vehicle Technicians Association, Inc. Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Pamela Jensen of Coventry, Conn., and Paula Casey of New Bedford; three brothers, Raymond Morin of Hartford, Conn., Kenneth Morin of Connecticut, and Ronald Morin of Marlborough; three sisters, Annette Morin of Warwick, R.I., Marlene Fish of Seymour, Ind., and Vivian Frank of Fall River; his father, Ovila Morin of Connecticut; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Our Lady of Victory Church, 230 South Main St., Centerville. Burial will be at a later date at the convenience of the family. M. Laurence Lague, 55
Hosted Cape cable show; worked in tourism industry
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - M. Laurence Lague, 55 , an environmentalist and geographer who lived in Sandwich for seven years, died of cardiac arrest Saturday at Hilton Head Medical Center. He was the husband of Beatrice Ricard Lague. Mr. Lague was born in West Warwick, R.I. He was a graduate of St. John's School in West Warwick, LaSalle Academy in Providence and Holy Cross College, in Worcester. He also earned a master's degree in political geography from the University of Rhode Island. A consultant to the tourism and real estate industries, Mr. Lague specialized in resort communities. His clients included the state of Vermont, Textron REIT, GE Credit, Harvard University, Sunday River Ski Area, Sea Pines Plantation and the Eadaville Railroad. He was also a columnist for the Island Packet newspaper in Hilton Head. He lived in Sandwich from 1987 to 1994 and had a cable talk show called Cape Cod Economic Development. Besides his wife, Mr. Lague is survived by two daughters, Lise Lague of Chicago and Nicole Lague of Hilton Head; two sons, Larry Lague and Andrew Lague, also of Hilton Head; a brother, Richard Lague of Los Angeles and a sister, Louise Lague Scharff of Old Greenwich, Conn. Thomas S. Doherty, 93
Partner in Boston insurance agency; enjoyed soccer
HYANNIS - Thomas S. Doherty, 93, a Boston insurance executive and soccer player, died Saturday at Cape Cod Hospital Extended Care Community-Pavilion. He was the husband of the late Hazel I. (Tompkins) Doherty. Born in Montreal, Canada, Mr. Doherty moved to Boston at age 3 and attended Bentley College in Waltham. In 1918, at age 14, he worked at Storer, Damon & Lund Insurance Agency in Boston. He became bookkeeper, office manager and then a partner in the firm. He retired in 1975 after 57 years with the agency. In the 1940s he was an avid soccer player and in the 1950s was involved with the American Soccer League in the Boston area. He lived in Dorchester many years, then in Braintree from 1959 to 1979. Mr. Doherty moved to Centerville in 1979; in the late 1980s he lived in South Yarmouth then moved to Hyannis in 1992. He was a member of the Widow and Widowers Group of Cape Cod, a communicant of Our Lady of Victory Church in Centerville and was past president of the resident council at the Cape Cod Hospital Extended Care Community-Pavilion. He is survived by a son, Thomas S. Doherty Jr. of Toronto, Ontario, Canada; a daughter, Katherine Daigle of Asheville N.C.; three brothers, Lawrence of Hingham, Arthur of Hartford, Conn., and William of Venice, Fla; two sisters, Marjorie Scheh of Hingham and Dorys Hanrahan of Agawam; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nices and nephews. The funeral will form at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Doane, Beale & Ames Funeral Home, 160 West Main St., Hyannis, followed at 10 a.m. by Mass in Our Lady of Victory Church, 230 South Main St., Centervile and burial in Beechwood Cemetery, Centerville.
