Anderson, 3 sons, Scott M. Perry of Clearwater, FL., Andrew N. Doran and John D. Anderson, both of Auburn, MA., two daughters, Christine M. Perry of Clearwater, FL. and Tammy M. Rochette of Worcester with whom she lived,a brother, Andrew Watson of Oxford, two sisters, Catherine Curtis of Phoenix, AZ. and Bonnie Paul of Hudson, FL., five grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Born in Chickatee, VA., she was the daughter of Andrew and Norma Jean (Scott) Watson and lived in Worcester for 35 years. She was a waitress at several local restaurants including Dunkin Donuts in Shrewsbury. Previously, she was a cashier at University Of Mass. Medical Center. She was an avid bowler and bingo player. Funeral services will be Thursday evening, Aug 31 at Callahan Brothers Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St. After cremation burial will be at the convenience of the family. Worcester - Florence (Drohan) Banfill, 69, of 39 Queen St., formerly of 9 Winthrop St., was stricken at home and died on Thursday May 10 at St. Vincent's Hospital. She leaves sons, Michael Drohan and Raymond Banfill, Jr., both of Worcester and Joseph Drohan of Deltona, Florida, and 5grandchildren. Her husband, Raymond Banfill died in January 2000. Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Joseph and Edna (Hamill) Drohan and lived here all her life. She worked as a waitress at the former Main Lunch many years ago. The funeral was Monday May 14 from Callahan Brothers Funeral Home,61 Myrtle St., with a Mass in St. John's Church, 40 Temple St. Burial was in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester.

Raymond M. Banfill, 69
WORCESTER - Raymond M. Banfill, 69, of 9 Winthrop St., was stricken ill and died at home. He leaves his wife of 36 years, Florence (Drohan) Banfill; two sons, Raymond M. Banfill Jr. and Michael Banfill, both of Worcester; a (laughter, Cindy Banfill of Worcester; two stepsons, Michael Drohan of Worcester and Joseph Drohan of Mr, Banfill Daytona, Fla.; a brother, Larry Banfill of Worcester; two sisters, Olive Koybe and Edith Dionne, both -of Worcester; and a step-grandson. He was born in Worcester, son of Lemual and Anna Bell (Melendy) Banfill. Mr. Banfill was a helper at Galena Trucking Co., Worcester, for 20 years; he retired in 1990. He was a member of the Lithuanian Club. Burial was be in St. John Cemetery.

Worcester - Marjorie Berglund, 84, formerly of 2 Clement St., died Sat. April 14 in the Veterans' Administration Hospital Brockton after an illness. She leaves several cousins. Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Simon C. and Elizabeth I. (Diricson) Berglund and lived here most of her life. She was a W. W. II Army Veteran. Ms. Berglund was a member of the First Baptist Church of Worcester and the Hearth Stone Club. She enjoyed photography and singing. Funeral services were Tuesday April 17 at 10:30 a.m. in Callahan Brothers Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St. Burial was in All Faiths Cemetery, Worcester.

Worcester - Rosemary M.(Grant)Bergstrom, 87, formerly of 59 North St., died Wednesday Feb. 21 at the Cape Regency Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Centerville, Cape Cod. Her husband, Hartley N. Bergstrom, Sr. died in 1987. She leaves a daughter, Rosemary F. Bergstrom of Worcester and a son, Hartley "Bud" Bergstrom, Jr. of Barnstable; 2 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Arthur and Charles Grant and four sisters, Doris McGinnis, Marion Alberts, Phyllis Weaver and Alice Decker. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Walter and Eunice (Stevens) Grant and lived here for the past 35 years. Mrs. Bergstrom worked as a waitress at the former Putnam and Thurston Restaurant for 10 years, before retiring. She was long time member of Immaculate Conception Church. Mrs. Bergstrom enjoyed reading and gardening. Calling hours for Mrs. Bergstrom are on Saturday Feb. 24th from 2 - 5 p.m. at Callahan Brothers Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. After cremation, a memorial service will be held at a time to be announced on Saturday March 3rd in the Ellen Rogers Kennedy Chapel at Rural Cemetery, 180 Grove St., Worcester. Bergstrom of Worcester, many nieces and nephews. Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Edward J. and Margaret L. (Walsh) Bergstrom and lived here all her life. She was a graduate of Ascension High School and the former Salter Secretarial School of Worcester. She was a teletype operator for the American Steel and Wire Company for 34 years, retiring when the company closed. She was a long time member of St. Stephen's Church. His wife of 12 years, Pauline (Patterson) Zachariewicz Bilodeau, died in 1986. lie leaves a daughter, Margaret A. Nowlands of Millbury; a brother, Robert Bilodeau of Hampton, N.H.; five grandchildren-, seven great-grandchildren; and a close friend, Alice Schneider of Wareham. His first wife, of 32 years, Margaret (licaly) Bilodeau, died in 1972. lie was born in Lawrence, son of George and Hattie (Raymond) Bilodeau, and lived most of his life in Worcester before moving to Wareham 16 years ago. Mr. Bilodeau worked 10 years for Norton Co., Worcester, retiring in 1984. lie previously was abaker 18yearstbrtbeworcester Baking Town Talk Co., and also for Bond Broad and Hatbaway's, all of Worcester. He was manager of Lakeside Trailer Park in Wareham. He was a member of Ascension Church, Worcester; the Bakers and Confectioners Union; and the American Association of Retired Persons. Keller of Holden; three sisters, Linda M. Stolakis of Holden, Judith Magnason and Theresa L. Kovak both of Worcester; Many nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester daughter of William Keller and lived in Worcester most of her life. Mrs. Bouvier worked at P.F.P.C Global Fund Services of Westboro, Ma. as a unit manager for several years. Previously she was a stitcher at the Slovin Company in Worcester for many years. After cremation a committal service will be held in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.

His wife, Katherine (McManus) Bradley, died in 1991. He leaves two sons, Richard J. Bradley of Roxbury, CT. and John Bradley of Worcester, two daughters, Kathleen M. Bradley of Worcester and Nancy J. Bradley of Boulder, CO., two sisters, Ruth Besselman of Harrisburg, PA. and Mary Ball of Hampton, NH., four grandchildren many nieces and nephews. Born in Worcester, he was the son of Charles H. and Frances E. (Carr) Bradley and lived here most of his life. He worked for the U.S. Post Office for many years retiring in 1979. He was a World War II Marine Corps veteran serving in Saipan, Okinawa and in the occupation of Nagasaki, Japan. Mr. Bradley was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees. He was a long time member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church. Worcester- Daniel W. Butler,86, formerly of 562 Pleasant St., died Thursday May 11., in Notre Dame Long Term Care after an illness. He was born in Denver, Colorado the son of Matthew J. and Margaret C. (Sullivan) Butler. His wife, Clare R.(McCarthy)Butler died in 1989. He was a graduate of College of the Holy Cross in 1935. A U.S. Army Air Corps World War II Veteran, he served as a first Lieutenant in the Romulus Air Transport Command. In 1950 he received Master degree in Education from Worcester State College. He was a foreign language teacher and the boys tennis coach at the former Classical High School from 1946 to 1966. He then taught at Doherty High school until he retired in 1980. The Funeral Mass was held in Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant St. Burial was in St. John Cemetery, Worcester.

He leaves his parents, Michael M. and Ellen P (Quinn) Cahill of Worcester, a brother, Daniel P. of Worcester, several aunts and uncles and many cousins here and in Ireland and a close friend Colleen Dwyer. Born in Worcester, he attended Burncoat Junior High School and was a 1983 graduate of Burncoat Senior High School. In 1985 he received an associate degree from Quinsigamond College and in 1987 his B.A. from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Mr. Cahill also earned an MBA in International Finance in 1992 at Clark University. He was a Business Analyst in the Financial Marketing Division at State Street Corp., Boston for four years. Previously, he was a loan processor for the Small Business Administration doing disaster relief for the earthquake victims in Northridge, CA. The funeral will be Monday Nov. 20 at 10 a.m. in St. Joan of Arc Church, 570 Lincoln St. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Worcester. There are no calling hours. Flowers are to be omitted. He also resided in Westminster, Ma, California and Oregon. He leaves his wife of 54 years, Mary M. ( Mele) Cameron; three daughters, Patricia A. McGrath of Worcester,Ma, Vicki L.Nipper of Prescott Valley, Az, Dorothea A. M'Kadmi of Tunisia; three sons P. Jospeh Cameron, Jr. of Phoenix,Az, Scot T. Cameron of Saxonburg, PA, William S. Cameron of Florence,Az; a sister Marguerite M. Dionne of West Boylston; 15 grandchildren and 8 great- grandchildren. Born in Worcester, Ma, he was the son of P. Joseph and Anna (Leonard) Cameron and graduated from North High School. He was Navy Veteran serving during WWII on the USS Ringgold and the USS Dorothea L. Dix. She leaves two sons, William J.Campbell of Worcester, and David Campbell of Fla., two brothers, Michael Trigiano of Worcester and George Trigiano of Sun City Az.; a sister, Raffalina Blaisdell of Bangor Me., two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A son John F. Campbell Sr. of Worcester died last June. Born in Worcester she was the daughter of Giovanni and Giovannina (Lagonelli) Trigiano, and lived here all her life. Mrs. Campbell was an Employment Aid for the Mass. State Employment Service for 10 years retiring in 1974. She was very active in civic affairs especially the Model Cities Program, the Piedmont Opportunity Center, the Summers World program, the Worcester Corporation Council Inc., and was a neighborhood activist in the locating and building of the Chandler St. school. Campbell Jr. of Oxford, a daughter, Mandi L Campbell of Southbridge; his mother, Ann C. (Trigiano) Campbell of Worcester; two brothers, William J. Campbell of Worcester and David Campbell of Fla., several aunts and uncles and cousins. A close friend Debra Geldart of Worcester also survives Mr. Campbell. Born in Worcester he was the son of Orrin F. Campbell, and lived here all his life. Mr. Campbell was a Cab Driver in Worcester for many years. Previously he had worked at the former Worcester City Hospital. He was an avid dart player with the Worcester and Minuteman Dart Leagues. Richard J. Carelli, 78, former pastor, headmaster December 11,2000 SHREWSBURY - The Rev. Richard J. Carelli, 78, of 30 Julio Drive, formerly of Worcester, who served as a pastor, associate pastor and head master at area religious facilities, died Saturday, Dec. 9, in UMass Memorial Medical Center Memorial Campus, Worcester. He leaves two brothers,. Vincent P. and Francis J. Carelli, both of Worcester; two sisters, Isabel M. Burke and Adeline M. Anderson, both of Worcester; nephews and nieces. He was born in Worcester, son of Carlo P. and Margaret A. (Brady) Carelli, and lived most of his life in Worcester before moving to Shrewsbury nine years ago. He was educated in Worcester, and earned a theology degree from St. Mary's College in Kentucky. He attended the Grand Seminary in Montreal and was ordained a priest Feb. 24,1953 in St. Paul's Cathedral, Worcester, by Bishop John J. Wright. He was associate pastor at St. Joseph's Church, North Brookfield; head master of Sacred Heart Academy in Worcester; associate pastor at St. Ann's Church, Worcester; headmaster of St. Bernard's Central Catholic high School, Fitchburg; pastor of St.Roch's Church, Oxford; and pastor of St. Bernard's Church, Fitchburg. In 1983, he became diocesan director of fiscal affairs and administrator of the Vianney House, Worcester. Iii 1985, he became pastor of St. George's Church, Worcester, and remained director of fiscal affairs. He was chancellor of the Diocese of Worcester from 1985 to 1987. He retired in 1993. In February 1992, he received the papal distinction of prelate of honor with the title of monsignor. He was a diocesan consultor. WORCESTER - Romeo J. "Joe" Chaput Jr., 68, of 45 Fox St., a former union official, died Friday, June 1, in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center after an illness. He leaves his wife of 48 years, Veronica E. (Chrabascz) Chaput; a son, Joseph Chaput of Worcester; three daughters, Sandra C. Dick and Darlene M. Chaput, both of Worcester, and Cindy H. Mulcahy of Spencer; a sister, Carol Hawkins of Fitchburg; six grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. A brother, Francis Chaput of Worcester died a few years ago.. He was born in Worcester, son of Romeo J. Chaput Sr. and Mary (Lonergan) Chaput. Mr. Chaput was a machinist 27 years at the former Standard Yarn Co. until it closed in 1986. He then worked at the Providence House Extended Care Center for several years before retiring. He was former president of the AFL-CIO United Textile Workers Union. Worcester - James F. Coakley, Sr. 89, 1165 King St., Greenwich, Ct., formerly of Worcester, Greenwich Woods Health Care Center. He leaves his daughter, Mary Coakley Galvin of Greenwich, CT., and a son James F. Coakley,Jr. of Metuchen,NJ., four grandchildren. His wife of 38 years, Frances H. (Melican) Coakley died in 1978 and a daughter Frances M.Coakley died in 1972. Born in Worcester, he was the son of Timothy and Joanna (Shea) Coakley and lived here for 86 years before moving to Greenwich, Ct. He was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy, and the New England School of Accounting. He was a member of the class of 1936 of The College of the Holy Cross. He attended Northeastern University. He served in the U.S. Army in Hawaii during World War II. Following his discharge Mr. Coakley began a career with U.S. Government which culminated in his appointment as an area director of the Wage and Hour and Public Contracts Division of the U.S.Department of Labor. He retired in 1975. He also worked as a correspondent for the United Press International(UPI), covering Holy Cross football and basketball, local political elections and golf tournaments at Pleasant Valley Country Club. He was a member of the American Legion East Side Post 201, The Italian American Business and Professional Men's Club,and The Order of United Commercial Travelers of America. He was member of Immaculate Conception Church. The funeral mass was held in Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove St., Worcester. Burial wasin St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. Worcester - Susan C. Coakley, 85, of 553 Grafton St., died Monday July 24 in Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown, New Jersey, after an illness. She leaves her husband of 58 years, Eugene W. Coakley of Worcester;two sons Dr. John F. Coakley and Kevin J. Coakley both of Worcester;one sister Janet Lund of Far Hill N.J.; six grandchildren;one great-grandson and several nices and nephews. She was born in Worcester daughter of Fredrick and Ellen (Johnston)Hays and lived in Worcester many years. She was a graduate of Commerce High School in 1932 and City Hospital School of Nursing in 1937. Mrs. Coakley worked at the Cumberland Hospital in Brooklyn N.Y. for several years and the Summer Street State Hospital and Worcester State Hospital for many years retiring in 1971. She was member of St. Stephen's Church for many years. She was lifetime member of the Worcester City Hospital Nursing Assoc. Mrs. Coakley was an avid knitter and animal lover. Shrewsbury - Florence V. (Sepavich) Conlin, 83, of 40 Summer St., died in Memorial Hospital after an illness. Her husband of 54 years, Paul R. Conlin died in 1992.She leaves a daughter, Charlene E. Cain of Washington Township, NJ., a grandson, Mark D. Cain of Bexley, Ohio, a granddaughter, Christine L. Cain of Ithaca, NY., and several nieces and nephews. Her son, Paul R. Conlin Jr. died in 1983. Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Casimir and Veronica (Trask) Sepavich and has lived in Shrewsbury for 44 years. Mrs. Conlin was a cook at the Shrewsbury Nursing Home and Rehab Center for 18 years retiring in 1989. She was a long time member of St. Mary's Church and active with the Shrewsbury Senior Citizens group. Worcester - Leonard Corey, 80 of 15 Norfolk St., died Wednesday Feb. 14 at home after an illness. His wife Lucy (Perry)Corey died in 1969. He leaves two sons, Roger W. Corey and Jack L. Corey of Worcester; two daughters, Cheryl A. Sweeney of Worcester and Debra K. Corey of Millbury; a sister, Anne Coughlin of Clearwater, FL.; a brother, Ferris Corey of Heywood, Ca.; 13 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was born in Worcester son of Phaze and Susan (Brown) Corey and lived here most of his life. He served in the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II. Mr. Corey worked for the Neles- Jamesbury Co. retiring many years ago. Burial was in Hope Cemetery.

Dr. James F. Cosgrove, III, Worcester ophthalmologist
SHREWSBURY - Dr. James F. Cosgrove 111, of 30 Julio Drive, formerly of 402 May St., Worcester, an ophthalmologist, died January 31,at home. Dr. Casgrove maintained a private practice in Worcester from 1949 to 1986. He provided free. treatment for many who could not afford eye care, including members of several religious communities and children from what was then known as the Children's Friend Society. He operated a free eye cam clinic two days a week, one at St. Vincent Hospital and one at Worcester City Hospital, from 1949 until the enactment of Medicare in 1965. Dr. Cosgrove was appointed a fellow of the American Board of Ophthalmology in 1950 and continued at St. Vincent Hospital until 1986, serving as chief of the ophthalmology and eye surgery department from 1955 to 1986. He was a consultant to the U.S. Public Health Service in a 17 year study of diabetes, par. tially conducted in Webster and partially in Oxford. Dr. Cosgrove served as an associate professor of ophthalmology at the University of Massachusetts Medical School from 1963 until retiring In 1986. He kept up with continubw medical education requirements and maintain a medical license until his death. He was the first president of the Central Massachusetts Professional Standard Review Organization and belonged to the Massachusetts Medleal Society and the Worcester District Medical Society. Dr. Cosgrove interned at St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester, in 1941 to 1942 and also did medical work at Worcester City Hospital. He served as a physician in the Amy from 1942 to 1946. He then specialized in ophthalmology. spending three years at Columbia Medical School, New York City, and St. Joseph's Hospital in Paterson, N.J.. from 1946 to 1949. He enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Pleasant Valley Golf Club, Sutton, and later Worcester Country Club, where he had received the most improved golfer award. He was a member of St. Mary's Parish and a former member of Christ the King Parish, Worcester. His wife of 52 years, Helen E. (Shea) Cosgrove, died in 1996. He leaves a son, James F.Cosgrove IV of Worcester; three daughters. Suzanne M. Jones of Wichita, Kan., Mary E. Moysello of Plymouth and Martha R. Beale of Ashland; and six grandchildren. Born in Worcester, son of James P. Jr. and Magdalene (Healy) Cosgrove, he lived in Worcester before moving to Shrewsbury in 1991. He graduated from Classical High School in Worcester in 1933, the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester in 1937 and Tufts College Medical School in 1941. The funeral Mass was held in St. Mary's Church, 640 Main St. Burial was inn St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. . Worcester - John J. Crean, 72, of Emerald St., Wrentham, formerly of Worcester, died Monday December 11 at the Wrentham Development Center after an illness. He leaves a brother, Frank Crean and a sister, Patricia Hine, both of Worcester, and nieces and nephews. Born in Worcester, he was the son of Frank and Katherine (Sullivan) Crean and moved to Wrentham many years ago. The funeral was Friday Dec. 15 from Callahan Brothers Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St., with a Mass in St. Paul's Cathedral, 15 Chatham St. Burial was in St. John Cemetery, Worcester. Worcester - Myrtle L. (Hoyt) Cunningham,85, of 15 Pomona Rd, formerly of Hinsdale, N.H., died Monday Dec. 11 in UMass Medical Center University Campus after an illness. She leaves a daughter Ann. M. Sharon of Worcester; a sister Helen Garvey of Worcester; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a niece and a nephew. Her Husband of 52 years, William Cunningham, died in 1999. She was born in Worcester daughter of Edward E. and Lorretta L. (Goodney) Hoyt and graduated from Commerce High School. She lived in Worcester for many years before moving to Hinsdale in 1983. She recently moved back to Worcester. Mrs. Cunningham owned her own Upholstery business with her sister in-law for Many years. She was a member of Christ the King Church, the Woman's Guild at Christ the King and was involved with C.Y.C. group at the church. The funeral was Thursday Dec. 14 from Callahan Brothers Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St., with a Mass in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant St. Burial was in St. John Cemetery, Worcester.
