Dorothy E. Taylor
Dorothy E. Taylor, 81, died suddenly July 22 at Milton Hospital.
Mrs. Taylor was born in Randolph and was a longtime Milton resident.
She was the wife of the late Herbert T. Taylor. She is survived by four sons; Thomas F. Taylor and Richard L. Taylor, both of NY; Robert S. Taylor and William M. Taylor, both of Milton; one brother, William P. Kitteridge of Norwell; and seven grandchildren. She was the mother of the late James H. Taylor.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Mary of the Hills Church July 25. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.

Evelyn R. Burke
Evelyn R. (Walsh) Burke, 57, of Quincy, died July 23 at home.
Born, raised and educated in Roxbury, Mrs. Burke was a graduate of St. Patrick's High School in Roxbury. She lived in Massachusetts General Hospital and later an assistant manager at Fannie Farmer Candy Shop.
Wife of the late Thomas Smigliani, she is survived by three daughters, Georgine Nolan of Burlington, Vt., Anne Marie Willis of Ann Arbor, MI, Madeline C. Cushman of Edina, Minn.; two sons, Thomas J. Smigliani of Newport, Vt., Domenic Smigliani of Hyde Park; two brothers, Joseph Dello Cono of Franklin, Albert Dello Cono of West Wareham; one sister, Lena Robison of Hyde Park; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Aug. 2 at St. Mary of the Hills Church. Burial was in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.

Paul D. Harold, Norfolk Register of Deeds
Norfolk Register of Deeds Paul D. Harold died on August 11 after a year-long battle with stomach cancer.
In his 30-year career of public service, Mr. Harold, 54, served as a Quincy City Councillor at Large, State Senator for the Norfolk District, and City Council President.
The Massachusetts Young Democrats organization, and in later years became a confidant of public officials at every level of government.
Widely-traveled, he had an extensive network of friends and correspondents around the world, and represented the U.S. Government in more than 20 countries as a teacher of democracy, politics, constitutional law, and American values for the U.S. Information Agency. He was a board member of the National Center for International Visitors in Massachusetts at Amherst, Mr. Harold earned his Juris Doctor Degree at Suffolk University Law School, and his Masters Degree in Public Administration from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
He had served as an adjunct professor at Quincy College, Curry College, and Bentley College, as visiting professor at Cork University, Cork, Ireland, and as a college instructor at Aquinas Junior College, Newton.
A running enthusiast, he completed 12 Marathons including Boston, Massachusetts Legislature, and color guards from organizations Mr. Harold assisted. Burial was in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth.

Barbara B. Leussler
Barbara B. (Bates) Leussler, 86, died on August 8.
A resident of Milton for since 1956, she was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy (Roxbury) and she worked for Employers Liability, an insurance company in Boston.
Mrs. Leussler was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Church.
Born in Boston, she was raised in Wollaston.
Wife of the late Frederic A. Leussler, she is survived by a son, Charles L. Leussler of North Reading; a daughter, Paula Perrone of Canton; six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Elizabeth Church on Monday, August 12, at 10 a.m. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.

Eileen M. Spellman
Eileen M. (Coffey) Spellman, 81, of Dedham, died at home July 31.
Born and raised in Boston she was a graduate of Hyde Park High School.
Mrs. Spellman was the wife of the late James F. Spellman, she is survived by a son, Timothy J. Spellman of Quincy; two sisters, Anna Mae Spellman of Dedham and Marguerite Spellman of Milton and three grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was celebrated August 3 at St. Mary's Church in Quincy. There was a private burial.

Mary A. Brophy
Mary A. (Dwyer) Brophy, 88, of Marshfield, died August 9 at Jordan Hospital in Plymouth.
Born in Boston, Mrs. Brophy attended Boston schools and worked in Boston at Kelly Girl Associates.
Wife of the late Joseph C. Brophy, she is survived by a son, Joseph L. Brophy of Marblehead; a daughter, Patricia L. Lewis of Quincy; two sisters, Louise C. Grimley of Centerville and Eleanor M. Mellett of Walpole; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was celebrated on August 14 at Sacred Heart Church in Quincy. Burial was in Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree.

Janice A. Klehm
Janice A. (Early) Klehm, 74, of Milton, died July 30 at her home.
Born in Boston, Mrs. Klehm lived in Hyde Park and Dedham before moving to Milton 66 years ago.
She graduated from Notre Dame Academy and received a degree in education from Curry College.
Mrs. Klehm was an administrative assistant at Curry College until her retirement in 1988.
She is survived by her husband, Robert E. Klehm of Milton; four sons, Robert E. Klehm Jr. of Wellesley, Michael E. Klehm of California and Paul J. Klehm of New Hampshire; three daughters, Gretchen M. Klehm of Quincy, Heidi A. Olson and Kristen F Klehm of Braintree and eight grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was celebrated August 2 at St. Agatha's Church. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
