John T. Walsh
John T. Walsh, 75, of Milton, died September 24 at Milton Hospital.
He was born in Boston and lived in Milton for more than 30 years.
Mr. Walsh was the president of John T. Walsh Plumbing Co. and former vice-president of Knoll Contracting Co.
He was a member of Plumbers Union Local 12 for more than 50 years. He served on the union's conference board, executive committee and as a trustee for its health and welfare fund.
Mr. Walsh was a veteran of the Navy, serving at the end of World War II in the Pacific Theater.
He is survived by his wife Sally Walsh; a son, Thomas Walsh of Nantucket; two daughters, Dr. Sheila Walsh of Dorchester and Eileen Walsh of Milton; four brothers, the Rev. Aidan Walsh of Duxbury, Thomas Walsh of West Roxbury, Joseph Walsh of Falmouth and Daniel Walsh of Milton; two sisters, Sister Mary K. Walsh of Dedham and Elizabeth Flaherty of Hull; and two grandchildren. He was the father of the late John T. Walsh III.
A funeral Mass was celebrated September 28 at St. Mary of the Hills Church. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home.

Barbara A. Flynn
Barbara A. (Ryan) Flynn, 70, died on September 26 at Copley at Stoughton.
Mrs. Flynn was a credit manager for Serta Matress Co. in Holbrook for 15 years before her retirement in 1994.
She lived in Dorchester for many years before moving to Holbrook 38 years ago.
Wife of the late Joseph P. Flynn, she is survived by a son, James J. Flynn of Holbrook; a daughter, Lauren J. Cochran of Marshfield; and two brothers, Philip Ryan of Franklin and William Ryan of Minnesota before returning to Milton 30 years ago.
Mrs. White was active in volunteer work throughout her life. She was a volunteer at the Kennedy School in Chicago with disabled children. She was active in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.

Norman A. Steele
Norman A. Steele, 67, of Easton, former owner of Copy Products Company - Copy City USA, in Hingham and Easton, died October 5 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston after a short illness.
Mr. Steele grew up in Mattapan. He lived in Hingham for 15 years before moving to Easton 18 years ago.
He was a 1952 graduate of Boston College High School and a 1957 graduate of Boston College.
He was a veteran of the National Guard.
He is survived by three daughters, Susan E. Steele-Harrington of Brookline, Sharon M. Steele of New York; a grandson; and his former wife, Diane Judith Steele.
He was the father of the late Deborah A. Steele.
A funeral Mass was celebrated October 9 at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston. Funeral arrangements were made by the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home.

Henry Quigley
Henry Charles Quigley, 83, of Quincy died October 3 at Harbor House Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Hingham.
Born in Boston, he lived for many years in Quincy.
Mr. Quigley was a retired Boston police officer working in the traffic division. After his retirement he went to work for the U.S. Office of Personnel Management.
A World War II Army Air Corps veteran, he served in the Pacific.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Neighborhood Club of Quincy and a past commander of the Disabled American Veterans.
He was a longtime parishioner and usher at St. Agatha Church.
He is survived by his wife, Elinor (Kendrick) Quigley, and a niece and nephew.
A funeral Mass was celebrated October 8 at St. Agatha Church. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.

Ruthann Chraska-Ovesen
Ruthann (Abruzzi) Chraska-Ovesen of Milton, died October 1 at her home.
Born in Ohio before moving to Milton 30 years ago.
Mrs. Chraska-Ovesen was an American Airlines reservation agent for 22 years, retiring in 1997. She was an auxiliary member of AMVETS Post 48, Winthrop.
She is survived by her husband David E. Ovesen; five sons, Edward Chraska of Hyde Park, Bruce Chraska of Rockland, David Ovesen Jr. of Germany, Chester D. Ovesen of Northampton and Paul J. Ovesen of Waltham; a daughter, Susan Zelasky of Pennsylvania; a brother, Anthony Abruzzi of Pennsylvania, and six grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was celebrated October 5 at St. Gregory's Church, Dorchester. Burial was in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
