Mary Frances Carey
Mary Frances Carey, 93, of Braintree, died March 18 at St. Joseph Home, Dorchester.
Born in the North End, she was raised and educated in Dorchester. She lived in Braintree for 26 years.
Ms. Carey was an office worker at United Shoe Machinery Co. for 32 years until her retirement in 1971.
She sang on radio station WBSO during the 1930s and was a former member of the Braintree Art Association.
She is survived by two sisters, Sister Helen C. O’Donnell, CSJ, of Framingham and Marion L. O’Donnell of Braintree; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Agatha Church on March 22. Burial was in Mount Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.

Mary T. Williamson-Corbett
Mary T. (Johnston) Williamson-Corbett, 92, died March 26 at the Bay Path Nursing Facility, Duxbury.
Born in Somerville, she graduated Somerville High School and Fisher Business School in Boston.
She worked at John Hancock Insurance Company in Boston for many years before retiring in 1964.
Mrs. Williamson-Corbett belonged to the Daughters of Scotia, the Dorchester Yacht Club and was active in the Lamplighter Village community in Canton.
She lived in Scotland during World War II and organized an Armistice Day Parade in Glasgow which she led carrying an American Flag.
Wife of the late Hugh Corbett and the late George Williamson Sr., she is survived by three sons, George Williamson Jr. of Kingston, Thomas Williamson of Braintree and David Williamson of Hyde Park; three brothers, Edward Johnston of South Hadley, Robert Johnston of Woburn and Frank Johnston of Massachusetts Alzheimer’s Association, 36 Cameron Street, Cambridge, MA 02140.
Joseph F. Rugo IV
Joseph F. Rugo IV, 50, died suddenly March 26 at UMass Medical Center, Worcester.
Born in Brookline, he was raised in Hingham. He was a graduate of Hingham High School, Fairleigh Dickinson University and received his master’s degree in public administration from George Florida; two brothers, Michael P. Rugo of Stow and Thomas R. Rugo of Centerville; a sister, Anne E. Kelly of Canton; his friend Debbie A. Walsh of Boylston; his former wife Barbara Rugo Focht of Grafton; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Mary of the Hills Church on March 29. Burial was in Holyhood Cemetery, Brookline.

Marjorie MacDonald
Marjorie (Remmes) MacDonald, formerly of Milton, died March 20.
Mrs. MacDonald graduated from Dorchester High School.
She was a Boston Police matron and a member of Emerald Society.
She was a CCD teacher and communicant of St. Pius X Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Janet M. Garabedian of Billerica, Susan M. Sexton of Norfolk and Ann Marie MacDonald of Saugus; two sons, John B. MacDonald Jr. of Minnesota and Ann Merrigan of Quincy; two brothers, Richard Remmes of Wrentham and Stephen Remmes of Stoneham; five grandchildren; and her friend Frank Gibbs of Randolph.
A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Pius X Church on March 24. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.

Cora E. Melville
Cora Evelyn Melville, 94, of Cohasset, formerly of Quincy and Wolfeboro, NH, died on March 31 after a brief illness.
She was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia.
Wife of the late Rocco Lepro, she is survived by a brother-in-law, Thomas Appleton of Pembroke; a niece, Mary Dandrow of Milton; two nephews, Paul Appleton of Wolfeboro, NH and Henry Appleton of North Scituate, and many grand and great-grandnieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was celebrated on April 5 at St. Elizabeth Church. Burial was in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.

James Grande
James Grande, 91, of Quincy, died on March 24 in Naples, FL.
Mr. Grande worked with heavy equipment for 52 years until his retirement in 1978. He was a member of Local 4 Hoisting and Portable Engineers Union.
Born in Boston, Mr. Grande was raised in the North End. He lived in Hyde Park for 61 years before moving to Quincy and Yarmouth.
Husband of the late Virginia (Raffaele) Grande, he is survived by two sons, James R. Grande of South Yarmouth and Ralph J. Grande of Milton; two sisters, Carmela Bordonaro and Lena Domino of Boston; two brothers, Anthony Grande of Belmont and Louis Grande of Beverly; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late Joseph S. Grande and Virginia J. Pretorius.
A funeral Mass was celebrated on March 29 at St. Agatha Church. Burial was in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Roslindale.

Harold W. Robinson
Harold W. Robinson, 84, died on March 28 at Milton Hospital.
Mr. Robinson worked with sheet metal all of his life, and was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union, Local 17.
Born in Boston, Mr. Robinson lived in the Lower Mills section of Dorchester until moving to Milton 40 years ago.
He was educated in Boston schools and served in the Navy during World War II. He was a member of McKeon Post, AMVETS, in Dorchester and a former member of Morrissette Post, American Legion, in Quincy.
He is survived by his wife, Gertrude C. (McDermott) Robinson of Milton; a daughter, Corinne Clancy of Washington Street, No. Easton, MA 02356.
Kathy M. Saur
Kathy M. Saur, 45, of Milton died April 2 at Milton Hospital.
Born in Boston, she lived in Milton for 45 years. She was a graduate of St. Claire High School in Roslindale, Quincy Junior College and Northeastern University.
Ms. Saur was an executive secretary at Haemonetics Company in Braintree.
She is survived by her parents, Joseph F. Saur and Mary T. (Norton) Saur of Milton; two brothers, her twin, Paul J. Saur of Marlboro and Robert F. Saur of Connecticut; and eight nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was celebrated April 5 at St. Mary of the Hills Church. Burial was in Milton Cemetery.

Cynthia G. Doherty
Cynthia G. (Downing) Doherty, 82, died on April 10 at Quincy Medical Center.
Born in Malden, she was a graduate of Malden High School. For several years she was a secretary at Traverse Real Estate in Dorchester before joining the U.S. Postal Service at South Postal Annex as a supervisor.
Mrs. Doherty was a resident of Milton for over 30 years and most recently a resident for four years at Winter Valley. She was a member of the New England Travelers Club.
Wife of the late James J. Doherty, she is survived by a son, William Doherty of Milton; two daughters, Patricia Minton of Randolph and Kathleen Cariens of Iowa, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late James J. Doherty and sister of the late William Downing.
A funeral Mass was celebrated on April 14 at St. Agatha Church. Burial was private.
