Edward P. Freeman
Edward P. Freeman, 75, a retired master carpenter, died Dec. 11 at Milton Hospital.
Born in Boston and raised in Mattapan, he was a graduate of Boston schools. Mr. Freeman attended Gannon College in Erie, PA, where he was a varsity football player. He resided in Milton for 63 years.
Mr. Freeman was a member of Carpenters Union, Local 67.
Father of the late Edward P. Freeman, Jr., he is survived by his wife, Madeline R. (Adler) Freeman; three daughters, M. Madeline McCarthy of Louisiana; and six grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was held Dec. 15 at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Norwood. Burial was held in New Westwood Cemetery in Westwood.

Thomas H. McDonough
Thomas H. McDonough, 85, a retired toll collector and former co-owner of a taxi company, died Dec. 10 at Marian Manor in South Boston.
Born in Boston and raised in South Boston, he graduated from South Boston High School. He resided in Milton for 43 years.
Mr. McDonough collected tolls for the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority for 20 years and co-owned South Boston Taxi from 1946 to 1964. He retired in 1985.
He was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II and was involved in the South Boston community until his illness.
Husband of the late Ellen E. (Smith) McDonough, he is survived by a daughter, Martha E. McDonough of Readville; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was held Dec. 13 at St. Elizabeth Church. Burial was held in New Calvary Cemetery in Mattapan.
